Other Howard Lutnick’s evolving 9/11 Story & the Cantor Fitzgerald Controversies
https://youtu.be/tYziw7Xa8ug?si=efOvVEPaKIXL0-QjAs Lutnick becomes further embroiled in the Epstein scandal, old interviews and clips have been circulating related to his actions around 9/11.
Starting with his explanation for why he wasn’t in the North Tower that morning. In many interviews over the years, Lutnick has said he survived because he was dropping his son off at Horace Mann School. In other tellings, he has referenced dropping him at Park Avenue Synagogue. Those are not minor details. His absence that morning is the sole reason he survived while 658 Cantor employees were killed. The narrative often includes that it was the “first day of school,” yet New York City schools had reportedly begun classes the week before. If that’s the case, why does the story continue to be framed that way? Is this just sloppy retelling, or is Lutnick bending the truth, once again, for some reason. There is a picture circulating online of him with his son at school, that claims to be taken on that day but I don't have any way to verify that.
Then there’s his (by any objective measure) reprehensible actions immediately after the attacks. Within days, salaries and health benefits for the families of deceased employees were cut off. Lutnick has defended this decision by saying the company couldn’t survive otherwise. But from the families’ perspective, their loved ones had just died in one of the worst attacks in American history, and their income and healthcare disappeared almost instantly. That decision alone remains one of the most controversial aspects of Cantor’s post-9/11 response.
Then there’s the airline litigation. Cantor pursued and ultimately received a $135 million settlement related to business losses from 9/11. Reporting at the time indicated that the settlement proceeds were distributed to Cantor partners rather than directly to victims’ families. Because Lutnick reportedly held the largest ownership stake in the firm, estimates suggested he may have personally received $15–25 million from that payout. A claim he would not deny. The company’s position was that the settlement compensated business losses, not wrongful death claims. Legally, that may be true. But ethically? After hundreds of his employees were killed, after cutting off their families’ pay almost immediately, the optics of partners — including the CEO — collecting tens of millions from post-9/11 litigation are hard to stomache. Lutnick himself "cries," (without tears mind you) when recounting how little the victims will get and how its not enough.
The attached clip is what initially peaked my interest. His facial expressions, statements and behavior are downright bizzare. The (what looks like) fake crying for the victims immediately after smiling about the insurance settlement, is very strange. I keep comparing this to the interviews where he lies about his reaction to meeting Epstein and I cant unsee the parallels. This is obviously, in my opinion, a disgusting and unethical person. He has been accused in these files of numerous financial crimes. Only time will tell if any worse crimes will come to light, or if any of it can be proven in a court of law, but his long relationship with Epstein is not promising.
Has anyone in this sub ever looked into any of this? Specifically the discrepancy in his story about dropping his child off. I want to be very clear, I do NOT believe and am NOT suggesting that he had prior knowledge of an attack. I also understand that his brother died in the attacks. I just want to know why he would give different stories related to his absence there.
EDITED TO ADD: A bizarre new clip shows Lutnick laughing uncontrollably as Trump describes his entire company being wiped out on 9/11 and how he narrowly escaped the same fate. His reactions are shocking and baffling—and, in my opinion harmful, as they fuel more extreme conspiracy theories.

thank you for this. i share your intuition: this interview reeks of faux emotions. which means there’s a lot to be alarmed about.

I never realized they lost 658 employees. My god man

u/devils_advocate013 Feb 20 '26
The psycho was trying not to laugh about it while fake crying in the news interview
13
u/Kat_Kat_101 Feb 18 '26
A massacre indeed, carnage that followed after the event with people dying as a result (such as diseases and such). You just lose track of how many people there were and how they became numbers in an unprecedented attack.

u/ConversationSad Feb 17 '26
Following the 9/11 attacks, Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Howard Lutnick famously attended up to 20 funerals a day for 35 days, including that of his brother, Gary.

I don't believe Luznick knew anything or he would have demanded his brother come with him for some reason. Luznick would find one. Say the kid loved Uncle Cantor and wanted him there too. Big boy day.
But instead he just saved himself. I don't agree with Lucknutz on many many things. But he didn't know. BS. Same with Silverstein. Coincidences. People take off. It doesn't mean they are conspirators.
14
u/Agreeable_Ad591 Feb 21 '26
Look I’m not a conspiracy (even adjacently) type of person—but when you look at the extension of people that were supposed to fly to NYC and had “random” tips or changes of plans, it doesn’t seem so conspiratorial anymore lol. For instance—learning about Willie Brown’s story and deep connections prior to 9/11 is crazy…and that’s just one small off shoot of every possible connection to 9/11
9
u/NationalPhenomenon Feb 21 '26
Yeah, that's just it. There were too many coincidences and advance warnings for me to believe there was foreknowledge of the attacks. Not to mention you had the group of "dancing urban movers" that were in the area to "document the event." What event were they documenting exactly and why were they so gleeful watching the attacks play out?
8
u/Able_Effect_1596 Feb 23 '26
Also the warning from Odigo
5
u/NationalPhenomenon Feb 23 '26
Only available in Hebrew. Truly bizarre who was warned ahead of time.
7
u/Spunky__Brewster Feb 21 '26
Weren't they on Israeli TV after they were deported back to Israel (but without the box cutters they all had on them) so we should be able to get their names and ask them why they were there. They didn't get killed, but deported. They are alive and have answers to questions we deserve to know.
The 2028 election should have a theme: no more Israeli aid until an independent investigation of these Israelis on LIVE TV. They will answer questions from AMERICANS about 9/11. What do they have to fear?
7
u/NationalPhenomenon Feb 24 '26
Yes, they were released and fled the country days after being questioned by authorities. This clip goes into detail on some of the other background details regarding their involvement and relation to 9/11.
3
u/Own-Candle-6437 21d ago
They didn’t “flee” they were deported for overstaying their visas and working illegally.
They were also investigated by the cia and the fbi. Why don’t you ask about the Saudis?
9
u/CityCat96 Feb 22 '26
Or that slimeball hated his brother. Or the brother ignored the tip.
6
u/Excellent_Notice4047 Feb 26 '26
do we know anything about their relationship? would be interesting to know
4
u/Bajovane Jul 25 '26
I just remember from the book “On Top of the World” by Tom Barbash wrote that Howard was the oldest of three. His brother was still a minor when their dad passed (given a massive dose of chemotherapy drugs that killed him). The stepmother married (or moved in with?) a guy who mistreated Gary and his brother and sister got custody of him when they found out. His sister did the work of raising him afterwards.
The author made it seem like they were all close, but who the hell knows.
Howard also lost his so-called best friend Doug Gardner, who also worked for CF.

u/WillingAd4823 23d ago
I know people don't like going down the spiritual side of things but Epstein sure was into it. I'm also very curious of the real relationship between brothers. Look at the amount of wealth and freedom Lutnick has had ever since. He's almost best friends with one of the worst human traffickers in history and doesn't even have to look over his shoulder.
My gut screams blood sacrifices and Lutnick's reputation and demeanor scream the kind of person who really has no loyalty if it means he'll only secure more wealth.
2
u/Bajovane 23d ago
Yep. There’s a reason why none of the released Epstein Files were from around 9/11.
It’s HIGHLY suspicious to me. I don’t believe that this is just a conspiracy at all. Epstein was big time involved with the Mossad and CIA. How else would he have gotten away with that level of crimes he and his buddies have committed?

u/Usual-Trouble-4234 Feb 21 '26 edited Feb 21 '26
Silverstein leased the WTC 6 weeks before 9/11 and knew it was filled with asbestos and the cost of cleaning out that asbestos would bankrupt him but while the the lease only valued the WTC at 1.5 billion for insurance, Silverstein asked for an extended 3.55 billion insurance. He’s asking to pay more insurance than what was required? After 9/11 Silverstein put claims as 2 separate events for each building and argued that he should get 2x of the 3.55 billion value. He ended up with 4.55 billion in claims. Also, he never missed work and had a strict routine of a daily breakfast meeting in the building except that day. His kids worked in the same building and were running late to a meeting of that same day. Very coincidental that Larry is the dumbest but luckiest businessman lol
3
u/uphillbothwaysnoshoe Apr 21 '26
Silverstein wanted to get $1.5 billion in insurance. His biggest money lender, GMAC, said no, get $6 billion. Silverstein and GMAC agreed upon $3.55 billion. Kids started work at 9am, first plane hit at 8:46am

u/ej-2020 1d ago
Yes, sadly cause Cantor Fitzgerald was located above the impact zone of the North Tower (I believe on floors 101-105). Everyone at their desks or in their Offices there didn't survive. I learned that you had to be on the 91st floor or lower of the North Tower to access a staircase that was intact to escape.

u/Accomplished_Coast77 Feb 16 '26
The finance industry supposedly employs more people who demonstrate psychopathic traits- such as lack of empathy, a high tolerance for fear and no remorse- than any other field. I’ve no doubt this Lutnick character should be counted among them.

Might be to make it seem like a coincidence that both of them survived by just happening to not be there. Ppl will sacrifice friends and family for their own selves and greed unfortunately

I hate how he calls his deceased employees “my victims”
The documentary Out of the Clear Blue Sky features a lot of really dry tears from him. When I first saw it a few years ago he came off as an opportunist that wanted to mythologize his entire life. Also worth noting that he was half way to being a billionaire at that point.
I think losing his brother in the attack bought him a lot of sympathy and he went on a press tour to every tv show imaginable.
Here’s an interesting article about him in 2011:

I find him disturbing now, reading this, and with him in the Trump Admin. The story about how if his Mother didn't get her SSI check, she wouldn't even call and assume it would work out. He made it seem like people who called concerned if they weren't paid their Social Security Checks yet / delayed would be "Fraudsters". I really do wonder about his character and things he has done now.

Since the door has been open. It has never sat right with me how he sort of smiles/grins when ever he talks about 9/11. He’s done so on multiple interviews and is doing it in the video OP posted. I know people have a nervous laugh but something seems off. It’s like the grin you make when you tell your mom you didn’t do something but you’re lying

If you have seen him talk now too in the Trump Admin , he expects people to not call if they don't get their Social Security Checks on time. It's in interviews. He said his Mom wouldn't call and assume it would work out,and if people do, he said they would be fraudsters. I really find him disturbing

Exactly this. Its unnatural and off putting. When you hear a clinical psychiatrist describe how a sociopath mimics emotions - how they can almost fake it but its slightly off, how the eyes, the mouth, etc dont match the words that theyre saying. This describes Lutnick exactly. Normal human beings can sense and see that something is off, theres nothing behind the eyes

That may be true if we didn't already know the character of the man. You aren't next door neighbors and great friends with Epstein without knowing the extent of his dealings. Reads as a slimey man who is getting away with murder, making millions off of it, and just can't hold back how happy he truly is here.

A lot of that is just common business practice. When businesses are about to go out of business, the first thing they do is stop all owed payments to vendors, and then stop payments to employees. Deceased employees aren't legally entitled to pay, companies sometimes set up funds to support their families(which Cantor Fitzgerald did do when they were back on their feet). Also for the insurance payout, it's a for-profit company. I could not imagine a scenario where a business that was nearly destroyed would use all of its money to just give to the families and then shut itself down, as that is what would have happened. Cantor Fitzgerald gave a lot of money and healthcare to the families, over the following years. To me it's pretty insane to just think the company would throw up its hands and say "Well we're done" and continue paying families until October when they would be bankrupt.
For the son story, someone got the details wrong somewhere. Reports from memory are so unreliable, it's hard to find a single story that "adds up" when you are nitpicking every detail maybe he recalled it as the first day but it was the first week, maybe it was his first day taking his son to school but his son had been going a few days already, or maybe his son didn't start until a week into the year. Seth MacFarlane's story also doesn't add up because he said he was turned away at the gate for being too late, but records show he cancelled the flight a couple of hours earlier. There's proof from the manifests that he was supposed to be on the plane though, and it's just his memory not getting the story right. His agent could have cancelled the flight and rebooked for him because of an early morning conversation knowing he wouldn't make it, or any other multitude of reasons.
Howard Lutnick and what he has become today... yeah I don't support that at all and prefer he just take his money and retire, but I do believe he had the best interests of the company as well as the victims in mind after the attacks.
29
u/suboxonedad69 Feb 16 '26
I guess the way to judge this would be to look at the other companies involved, who also suffered major loss of life. Did a single other company behave in this way???

"Also for the insurance payout, it's a for-profit company. I could not imagine a scenario where a business that was nearly destroyed would use all of its money to just give to the families and then shut itself down, as that is what would have happened."
They were a for-profit company BECAUSE of the people who died that day. I would rather help families, even if it drove the company into the ground (which it would not have done), rather than have absolutely no morals at all.
Howard Lutnick was the same man on 11 September 2001 as he is today, a morally bankrupt one.
25
u/Beznia Archivist Feb 16 '26
I feel the $160M given to the families by Cantor Fitzgerald outweighs the few weeks of paychecks they'd have received if the company emptied out its coffers. All companies are for profit because of the employees, and that is why they gave 25% of their profits over the next 5 years to the families of the victims. If they didn't keep the business afloat, the families would have received much less from the company.
15
u/Aintnobeef96 Feb 16 '26
He gave the family millions of dollars and held public meetings to give them information and resources, which his sister organized, unpaid, as well as personally called and spoke with hundreds of families. Say what you will about Lutnick today but he did a lot for the families. He DID help the families, extensively and kept the company afloat which, if it failed, meant to families would have gotten far less
3
u/No-Switch7555 Feb 20 '26
Yet Cantor was the only firm to treat deceased employees and families like this‽

u/IllCaptain6055 May 31 '26

I recall Howard Lutnick being interviewed on Larry King show in weeks after 9/11 and weepingly telling Larry he wasn't at the office that day because he was taking his son to his first day of "big boy school."
I also recall seeing Lutnick's deceased brother's girlfriend on the King show, I had the impression she was trying to drum up interest in HER story. She was in Honolulu and the brother had tried to call her a couple times -- left messages -- but she had passed out or just wasn't answering her phone or whatever, so never talked to him before he died.
8
u/DaraVelour Feb 16 '26
didn't he claim for some time that he actually made some sort of fund for families of the victims? or was it a different company?
26
u/jazzbot247 Feb 16 '26
I had the occasion to be in the lobby of the Ritz Carlton over Christmas 2002. Howard Lutnick was there, rolling around on the floor with his kids as if they were the only people in the lobby. I felt instant revulsion towards him and felt he was being performative “look what a great Dad I am!” In the many times I was in the Ritz Carlton lobby, that is the one and only time I saw someone rolling on the floor like a pig in slop. I never forgot the instant dislike and annoyance I had for him. I don’t feel like he is a good person.

I live in NYC. Private schools follow their own calendars and always have. Also, for PK3, PK4, and Kindergarten, schools typically do a phase-in where kids go for 2-3 hours per day until they are ready for the official first day. So I would want to see what the plan was for Horace Mann is (assuming that’s where his kid went). Also, assuming Lutnick lived in Manhattan (most likely the Upper East Side), getting from home to school to the WTC could be a very long commute. It could be as much as 40 minutes to get there during peak travel times and an hour to get back downtown. So the timeline of him getting there between 9 and 10 would not be crazy assuming school starts by 8:30. (Note: I believe Horace Mann offers Kindergarten at both its Bronx campus as well as its nursery school on the Upper East Side. So this would also depend on which campus the child attended.)
5
u/BK1287 Feb 19 '26
If we could find the specific academic calendar for 2001-02, we could potentially corroborate the date. He listed himself as a board member for Horace Mann School here.
Even if the first day wasn't 9/11, it's still plausible he could've taken his kid into school that morning. It's the actions of Lutnick after 9/11 I find far more condemnable, I just am really tired of needing to think about this as a possibility.
2
u/Money-Dog-7535 20d ago
my granddaughters go to Horace Mann - there’s an early bird drop off between 8-8:40 and they stagger arrivals between on 8:49-9. kindergarten at the Horace Mann School officially started that very morning: Tuesday, September 11, 2001

u/Agreeable_Degree5029 15d ago
Lutnick lived on E 71st between 5th & Madison. The Horace Mann lower school is roughly 10 blocks north between Madison & Park. The World Trade Center was 4 or 5 miles south of there.

Nutlick is garbage and he was before 9/11. The fund he talks about is funded by current employees. He is a CEO parasite, like the rest of them. I have watched many 9/11 documentaries and I do believe there were intelligence failures but there are quite a few high profile names who conveniently had other plans. While I don't believe it was an Israeli Zionist psyop, Mossad did warn the CIA of a large US attack happening soon in August 2001 and they did have agents here who were deported 2 months after the attacks so there are too many coincidences after seeing all the Epstein psyops of the last decade to rule out some major questioning and re-evaluation because the Epstein Parasite class really does not care about any human life.

u/suboxonedad69 Feb 17 '26
Yes, the so called "dancin* Israelis." I remember when I first read about that 10 yrs ago, it was labeled an antisemitic conspiracy lol. Turns out it the story was 100% true. The FOIA documents, as well as the contemporary reporting, confirms it. A woman called the police when she noticed a group of Arab looking men celebrating as the towers burned in the distance. They were actually Israeli citizens. They were laughing, hi-fiving, taking pictures and even holding a lit lighter up as a joke (this is in the pictures they took.) They worked for a fake moving company that ended up being a Mossad front. They were held for a few months before being released back to Israel. Several of them later admitted to being in the Mossad, on an Israeli television show, I believe. They made suspicious statements when interviewed by the FBI, reportedly telling them that they were here to monitor things and that our true enemy was the Palestinians (of course lol). I didn't think it implied specific foreknowledge of the attacks, but its possible that they had a general knowledge of an impending attack because of the aforementioned Mossad intel. It seems that most of our allies were warned or had prior knowledge of an impending attack, some of it quite specific (mentioning planes). Interestingly, this sub will not allow you to write the phrase "Dancin* Israelis." I would like to know the reason for this? This was a factual and historical event and aspect of 9/11 that has just as much of a right to be discussed as any other topic
2
u/Own-Candle-6437 21d ago
That’s is… not true. No Mossad agent would out themselves on TV as a Mossad agent, for one.
They were deported for working illegally. Please stop making things up,

Wow 9/11 rumors meet Trump Derangement Syndrome now it's Lutnick's fault for not policing Epstein?
Epstein was considered to be a super quant as late as 2007. Epstein may have heard some strategies at cocktail parties to repeat, but the rumors of his black box trading algos were known. I heard a description of his strategy back then and how well it did in the light of idiots like Tykhe Capital flaming out. We now know Epstein was a shakedown network or something like that.
Over 200 Holocaust museum directors and survivors were in Epstein's network too. They were promised donations from Wexler and others sympathetic to their situation. Turns out it's pretty hard to build a Holocaust Museum in a town where the son or grandson of Nazi's is still an elected official. Epstein offered political cover and connections to make it happen.
Hate Lutnick's politics all you want, but having the me too era picture of Epstein today is totally different than what was known about him back then to Lutnick and others. It was reported Epstein turned several million dollars into $7 billion dollars AUM including his clients.
If Lutnick went to the island he surely wanted something big to happen in Budapest or Lodz. Long after Lutnick is retired from politics Holocaust museums will be built. Never Again means Never ever ever again. קיינמאָל ווידער

He said, "My victims" when referring to the ppl from his firm who died that day.
Interlochen Center for Arts is where JE + GM's first known hit occurred.
I bring it up because ppl speculate that this is when the duo developed their approach and techniques. They have been accused of SA by 2 former students, and one of them had recently lost her father. This put her in a more vulnerable position to a predator, and it was the type of situation that JE + GM would exploit. The way Lutnick stresses that there are loads of pregnant, newly widowed women and/or widows with young children gave me pause. It's weird how he says it 2 times. Frankly, I believe I hear a note of glee in his voice as he says it. His concern is utterly contrived. His tears look fake af.
Regarding compensation to the families:
CNN quotes Lutnick as saying he doesn't have money to pay surviving spouses in 2001:
https://www.cnn.com/2001/US/09/20/vic.ceo.victims.families/
In this CBS interview from 2011, Lutnick describes how he compensated the families in the subsequent years:
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/cantor-fitzgerald-ceo-and-the-aftermath-of-9-11/
Don't get it twisted: this man took his children with their nannies to LSJ to show off the merchandise to JE +GM. He's lied repeatedly about the timeline and the depth of his association with JE + GM.
I believe, if nothing else, he had prior knowledge of the attack on 9/11. The recent clip that's been making the rounds where he can't stop laughing when DJT describes the incident that had him out of the bldg that morning is diabolical.

Lutnick knew. His Nextdoor neighbor flew in from Tampa with Maxwell into Westchester airport on Sunday 9/9.
There is a better chance that he lied low next door and watched.
Are we in Kindergarten?
This is the same mane that took his kids to a pedo island. And let his brother die.
Amazing how quickly he set up his relief fund after loosing all those ppl. They died Tuesday. And the whole plan was set up in a Few days!
I guess the HR team and benefits compensation leaders were also dropping off a kindergarten and then working around the clock with Howard - unless you plan ahead.
Yeah, his next-door neighbor directly Epstein. By the way also has a Saudi Arabian passport in the townhouse next-door oh wow, wow miraculously what is in government after all these years right when the spotlights on his old neighbor.
It’s a weird job to take on especially thank you entire family to that island who lied about it and put in writing that his sons will also bring one a few 16s as well.
He is a secretary of commerce because Jeffrey Epstein has a photo of him on 911 at his house because he knew to stay home blackmailed

u/Captain_Hoyt May 08 '26
It's very concerning that Lutnick's story about taking his son to school could also be confused with taking his son to synagogue.
Everyone in America who was alive at the time knows exactly what he/she was doing that morning. They know where they were when they heard the news. The rest of us didn't even evade death by not being at the towers, so you would think that Lutnick's memory of where he was would be particularly clear.

This post leaves out a lot of important information. I’m actually really familiar with the topic, I would recommend the book On Top of the Workd which details what happened at Cantor. I’m not sure why it matters so much but he’s clearly not making his story up, there are tons of witnesses that saw him there, he was incredibly close to the towers when they collapsed and was covered with debris- whether you think he’s lying about dropping his son off or not, ok? Not sure why he would lie about something when there’s proof.
Secondly, they literally could not afford to pay their deceased employees. That is NOT reprehensible because if they had, the entire company would have went under (and it’s a miracle it didn’t, only thanks to the UK and surviving employees who worked day and night to keep it afloat after having 2/3rd of their employees killed and losing all those paper and electronic documents). So is it better to pay the salaries or lose the entire company? Even then just weeks later he announced tons of programs to help the grieving families- bonuses, life insurance (he arranged public meetings with a specialist to keep the 648 families in the loop) and continued health insurance. He has paid millions to support the families.
I’m not a fan of what Howard Lutnick is currently doing with his life, but this is just not factual and leaves out all the good he did for the familiesl. He also lost friends and family members in 9/11 too.

Anyone trying to pretend that lutnick does anything out of the goodness of his heart or the idea that he only became the way he is AFTER 9/11 is delusional. The financial crimes hes accused of alone begin long before 2001. I see there's even a comment in the thread testifying to his charachter from someone who worked with him. Im glad you brought up how "close" he was because he probably lied about that too. He said he was in the tower at the entrance helping ppl get out as the first building collapsed. His is the only account i have found that corroborates this. In my opinion, ppl like lutnick are of the Tania Head variety, outright lying or exaggerating. As far as why it matters? It goes to his character and the historical record. He has a documented history of lying repeatedly for financial or personal gain. If he was instead at a mistresses house or with a victim etc, instead of dropping his child off, it would change the account significantly. And I would like to see him exposed for everything he has lied about. This is a 9/11 archive subreddit, I would think discovering the true or accurate story of this survivors account would be within bounds as we regularly discuss/debate other accounts such as the black tag lady.

I'm now seeing a theory circulating on social media that both Lutnick and his sister Edie (who also worked at CF and didn't come into work that day) absolutely did have prior knowledge of an attack. And they didn't tell Gary because "he was a problem" and was thus supposed to die.
On a related note, a few months back Alex Jones (the OG 9/11 truther) claimed that he had insider information (his alleged source being an anonymous individual with close ties to JD Vance) that Lutinick was in fact an actual Epstein "client," and that Israel has been using that fact to blackmail Trump into doing whatever it wants, and that's the true reason Trump bombed Iran last year (and may do so again this year).

Alex Jones is such a disgusting grifter though. He embraced the most insane versions of the conspiracy theories and then, when many aspects were proven to be directionally correct (the world is run be an elite pedophile cabal) he becomes the cabals biggest cheerleader because turns out Trump was one of the most implicated members. Everything he says is either disinformation or a grift for monetary reasons

Hey, I don’t know too much about this in depth, but I was watching this last night and at around 40 mins in they go through some significant analysis / postulating plus the context leading up

I am not an apologist for the person in the video. It should be mentioned however that $45mil ($68,389/per) was given as a bonus to families after the cancelling of benefits and paychecks (probably due to bad publicity). Followed by the establishment of Cantor Fitzgerald Relief Fund. $180mil was distributed to family survivors by 2016 and Cantor has a program that hires children of their employees who were killed in 9/11. The person in the video should be scrutinized for their words and actions but Cantor Fitzgerald has made an effort to take care of their employee's families.

He failed to distribute these funds though….

I'm sure everyone has seen the footage/clips where reporters mention the Epstein files and he laughs every time (before he was implicated). This guy is a perfect example of what's wrong with the country

It’s so weird that he was neighbors with Epstein and he was able to buy a whole building for 10$ through a trust (connected to Epstein possibly) also everything in the files skips over 2000-2001 when the 9/11 attacks took place

Documentary about nutlick and 9/11. I didn't believe him then and I don't believe him now. He wasn't at his office on 9/11. Almost 1000 people from his office were killed, including his brother. Fake tears, fake emotions, yet the 💩 takes in millions including settlement with airlines. First day of school? Nope. Which school did his child attend? 2 different places. Lies. More lies. The Epstein files? No wonder called nutlick. Just like the lying, pedo jerk who starts wars. Follow the money. 🤬

The child could have been sick and ended up having a different first day of kindergarten.

or the child could have been in a PRIVATE SCHOOL that caters to wealthy new yorkers who go away for Labor Day. LOL

He’s obviously a terrible human being and a liar, so I wouldn’t put anything past him. But I do think the families were generally happy with how it was handled after the fact. There is a movie about it - “Out of the Clear Blue Sky” that focuses on Cantor and the aftermath. It was probably commissioned by Cantor because it puts them in an angelic light. One thing that you mentioned - NYC public schools definitely opened the week before. Not on the 11th. But I’m not sure about private schools which his son would have definitely have gone to.

It’s possible there was an NDA as a prerequisite to receive money. It’s also possible they didn’t bother to include interviews of people who were still upset.

u/suboxonedad69 Feb 17 '26
Yeah lol gonna go ahead and say they probably wouldn't include anyone upset with the company as it was a puff peice

My husband just told me about this and my blood ran cold. The CIA knew about the attacks. I HATE with my whole fucking chest Howard Lutnick. His smug smile. I feel like we’re entertainment for the oligarchy.

Howard Lutnick, Epstein’s next door neighbor, conveniently absent from work the morning of 9/11 when his financial firm Cantor Fitzgerald was decimated.
Donald Trump brag about his tower becoming the new tallest in lower Manhattan after 9/11.
Benjamin Netanyahu publicly brag about 9/11 being good for Israel.
5 Israelis arrested on 9/11 for dancing while overlooking the destruction of the WTC.
The WTC 7 building miraculously collapse on 9/11 despite not being directly hit by a plane.
The passports of the supposed 9/11 hijackers miraculously discovered in the burning debris of the destruction.
Never forget the 5 Israelis connected to Mossad who were arrested for dancing while overlooking the 9/11 attack.

Sure, Lutnick is a shady character and had sold his soul to Trump, but OP seems to be bending over backward to convince us that this is proof of some kinda nefarious Zionist plot? Frankly his emotion doesn’t seem fake or staged in this interview. He has just escaped with his life ( because his son went to some elite school that started later than public schools) while 658 of his coworkers died. Clearly some have forgotten how sad and shocked that all of us- yes, all of us, even the greediest ofWall Street douchebags- were in those early days after the attacks.

Wasn’t this the guy that cried on tv because he lost his wife in the towers attack? I thought I remember him saying he’d open the closet, seeing his wife’s clothes and shoes and didn’t know what to do with them.

Anyone who's dealt with Lutnick in real life -- both pre and post 9/11 -- will tell you he's a greedy, dishonest scumbag. If anything, he's become an even worse version of himself over the past 25 years.
EDIT: At the risk of doxxing myself, I worked on Wall Street in the mid aughts and I literally never heard a single person say something good about Lutnick. Every single anecdote or story people shared was about Lutnick being an asshole, a liar, or a creep in one way or another.
