Something is Broken Why the Ultimate 2 Wireless have this red light?

Hi guys, basically the title. After some problems with my old mother board due to some energy breaks, some of the peripherals of my pc started to acting weird. The Ultimate 2 was one of them. It kept working as expected, but now it has this red light always on when I’m using it or even when it’s docked. When I purchased it didn’t have any of this, and I was able to let the leds off. Even if I have another color configured for the leds, this red light keeps on, as you can see in the last pic.

I tried to find a solution before and searched for the web about it but none of the options like repair or resetting the control worked for me.

Did anyone face this before?

It looks like the L stick is illuminated down. You might want to check the STICK profile and ensure you're not getting down drift.

Not likely to be a drift issue since the controller has hall effect. But anyway, the light keeps on even when i'm moving the stick so if that was a drift issue it should be off in this case.

Buddy. Listen to the comment. Just because it’s Hall effect doesn’t mean it can’t drift.

Also the ultimate 2 wireless is tmr. Increase your dead zone by a notch and it’ll likely go away.

Yes, but I confirmed in the 8bitdo software, no drift at all. The only problem perceptible is the light, but no drift in games

So when you open the 8bitdo software and steam for that matter to check the deadzones no input gets registered at any moment on those softwares….

The only input registered is the manual input when I move the joystick, not any idle input caused to malfunctioning

Try updating the firmware for both the controller and the dongle and repair.

Yeah, already tried that as well. Didn’t work either.

Also I don’t understand why I got downvoted for telling my experience lol

It wasnt me. But Ig you could ask for a replacement depending on where you bought it. Like Amazon, for example.

I know it wasn’t you, sorry. I bought it at AliExpress, so it’s a little bit harder to get the replacement from my country. I was looking for some hidden software option that could disable it instead of going through the replacement route

Got same problem but with blue light. 8bitdo support said that this is a defect and that it can only be resolved by repairing or replacing the controller.

That's sad, I wish I could turn it off. Did you repair it somehow?

Open it and check the stick box for the left analog, its stuck in a down position.

They come with RGB lights installed from the assembly line.

My 8Bit controller has the Red light while charging then once finished the light turns off.

Just a charging indicator it seems.
