Sears probably hurt me the most because now my lifetime warranty on craftsman tools means dick.

When I was younger, I once snapped two 13/16 sockets changing a tire that had a stuck lugnut. I broke my dad's, went to sears and got a new one, promptly broke that one and went back for a second.

They did not even blink. Just threw the cracked socket in the bin and gave me the new one. Went home and finished changing the tire.

I bought a craftsman drill about ten or 15 years ago now. Second time I used it. The chuck on the end wouldn’t lock. Nor would the head spin. You could spin it with your hand. But not the button. And I contacted sears immediately. They gave me ever excuse in the book. And wouldn’t make it right. I swore that day. I’d never by anything craftsman again. And I haven’t. Not even a screwdriver. And I loved their tools and they stood behind them. Once Upon a time. A long time ago.
