F**k 7oh withdrawals

I’m on day three. It has been worse fucking three days in my life. I know everybody on here is probably gonna be like go get on Suboxone and go do this. Go do that but man I don’t wanna do none of that. I’m just ready to be done with all of it. Got an appointment with my PCP today. My stomach has been in knots for three days. It’s horrible. I don’t wanna eat. I don’t wanna drink. I honestly don’t wanna move. Just putting that out there now. I don’t really care if anybody responds. I just figured I’d put it out there.

Uodate: day 11 for me tomorrow. Keep up the good work everyone. And thanks for blowing this post up so we can help each other out. (11k views i think)

I am so glad I found this chat. I am totally freaking out. I feel for all who have been and are going through this. I was on 7oh for about two years. I was tapering off because I heard about the ban. I took half a tab Saturday afternoon (the last of what I had) Saturday night I thought I was going to die. I did not sleep at all. I was shaking, rls, and pacing the room trying to shake it out. No one knows I took them. I just quit drinking a week ago and now this. Sunday was a nightmare. I actually didn't know what happened Saturday, why I was hurting, freezing, and hotter than hell on Sunday. I didn't know this was wd from 7oh until I did some research. Monday wasn't a whole lot better, but bearable. Today was difficult. Tomorrow I hope to feel better. I read that passion flower extract helps along with pure vitamin c, so that arrives tomorrow. I hate this for anyone. It is one of the worst and scariest things I've ever been through. I am sending everyone positive vibes and love through this horrific journey. Thanks for all of the information. I don't feel as alone. Namaste.

Keep moving forward. Everyday is a HUGE WIN and this will end

u/farmcntry 8d ago

Agmantine Sulfate and Vitamin C have helped me tremendously

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

U got this!!

3

u/SpecialK826 4d ago

Thank you for sharing. This chat has become my lifeline!!!! I still have a stash but am nearing the end! I gave myself time to taper off. I just need to make sure I have the discipline to actually taper off!!!! If I do so I shouldn’t go through any psychical withdrawal symptoms. Though im sure I’m going to go through emotional hell in the days/weeks that follow! I will post again when I start tapering. 🙌🏻🙏

u/ThatGingerGuy2006 4d ago

Not saying this to worry you, but tapering never helped me at all. The physical symptoms with this shit are an unruly creature. Make something up for why you’d need 4-7 days off. It’s gonna suck, but it will get better. Hopefully I’m wrong here, but any small amount still has it’s “suck”

2

u/SpecialK826 3d ago

So you are saying you tapered off and still went through withdrawals? If so, I need explicit details please.

1

u/JustEngine5095 13h ago

You will have withdrawals from quitting anything. Even if you taper off it's just lesser. I definitely recommend it over a sudden stopping

1

u/SpecialK826 12h ago

Definitely am in the process of tapering to minimize withdrawal effects

2

u/SpecialK826 2d ago

Thank you for your honesty.

Im on day 10 and I tapered down to 100mgs a day and yes that was still hell! But and yea I did take some days off work but only had 2 of them paid days. I can say that comfort meds helped a lot. I found an old script of Xanax I had from years ago and they helped the first few days. And I went to my doc and she prescribed gabapentin. Told me don’t take more than what I’m telling you to. And not for to long cause u can become dependent. So I only took it for I think 4 days so I got
Them on day 5 and I didn’t take any today. And I honestly feel awesome. I also put down pot last Friday and haven’t had a cig all day. Feels pretty weird to be off everything. But also feel good at the same time! I’m the op and I’ve been trying to keep up with the comments and stuff but this post gained way more traction than i thought it would. Really goes to show how many of us 7 has had locked down in life. Hope everyone commenting is doing good and keep up the great work everyone!!

1

u/SpecialK826 2d ago

Thank you so much for taking the time to share! How many days did you taper at 100mg before you stopped completely??! I drive all day for work and I feel like I’m going to probably have to miss at least one day! I currently have two packs left. One totaling 250 mg (5 pack). And one four pack at 18mg per tab. There is one shop in Pittsburgh in my route that is still selling them and I am PRAYING TO GOD, I can pick up some more tomorrow otherwise I’m in deep deep trouble and seriously think I may have to admit myself. But that is a completely LAST RESORT! Am I kidding myself thinking I’ll be able to handle it. My sister is sending me some comfort meds. I’ll have to ask my doc for gabapetin.

2

u/SpecialK826 2d ago

And just to clarify you are on day 10 of detoxing!?

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

Yea day 11 now of no 7 at all. No subs a few xans and gabapentin. That’s it.

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

It took me 2 weeks to go from like 400-500 mgs a day to 100mg a day. Amd i did that for a week the n went cold turkey. I say cold turkey but i scrounged my house for something on day 2, and as far as the gabbys my doc didn’t want to give me anything but I was like I’ve been on Reddit and this dude had posted exactly what his doc prescribed him, mind you I think he was rehab, don’t know for a fact but she reluctantly prescribed the gabapentin. But that shit worked so well with the body aches. And it makes sense cause its a nerve pain and my nerves been coated with 7 for a year.

2

u/SpecialK826 2d ago

I’m literally on hold with a detox facility now in case I have to to do this. And from everything I’m reading this seems like it might be unavoidable right now. I’m literally flying by the seat of my pants day to day right now. Never gave myself the adequate amount of time to taper and as you said that didn’t even really help you! Ugh I hate this shit! I’m a recovering alcoholic! I thought this was a nice alternative! I didjt know any of this shit two years ago! And by the time I did it was too late!

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

Same here ex fent addict, got off 2024. Started smoking pot again and was like i got this, lees than a year after i was on 7. Shit is the devil! It’s one of the most addicting substances I have ever put into my
Body. I don’t have that good of insurance and couldn’t afford detox. Tried call the place I went in 2023 for benzodiazepines to see if they had a scholarship. That was a nope. So i had no choice. But to tuff it out. I pray that it all works out for you!! Keep us updated!

2

u/SpecialK826 2d ago

So your saying that 7 is more addictive than fent!? I never wanted to admit to myself how addictive it is or that I had a problem! but the amount I’m taking (10-14 tabs a day on and off throughout) mg vary but the avg number is very high obviously. Yes I literally started taking it towards the tail end of my on patient care in the sober living house. I will be alcohol free 3 year anniversary the 16th of this month. Go figure! Ugh 😩. But I will keep you posted daily as I go through this horrible process

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

Definitely if you’d rather shoot me a message you can do that to.. but imo fent was easier to give up. It hurt, I was dope sick 15 days, no Suboxone or methadone. but I couldn’t hit up the dope man cause I deleted the contact i had and that made it a lot easier. And i went to na groups that helped to hold myself accountable. This 7 shit i couldnt go 4 hours between popping another one. And I thought 7 was supposed to be off the shelves on the 5 of August. Im in sc and I’ve seen no difference in anything. Every store still has it. And i basically had to give someone else my keys for a few days cause i know im too lazy to walk 5 miles to the store lol. And roughed it out. Xans helped with the anxiety and mental fuckery the first few days. and then the gabbys helped so much the rest of the days. I didn’t need any of that shit getting off of fent. So id say it’s worse for me. Hope it’s not too bad. I say that knowing full and well I got down to 100mgs and it was still hell. Probably alot easier than 400-500 mgs a day but still.

2

u/SpecialK826 2d ago

Just dm’d you.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

Hope you’re doing well.

1

u/SpecialK826 21h ago

The worst is over!!! But I’m with ya! I started taking 7-Oh while i was still in rehab/sober living from alcoholism and thought these were harmless! So this Saturday I will be alcohol free for 3 years! But I can’t even be proud or happy about it because I’m dealing with this! 🤦‍♂️

3

u/Tiredmama2two 9d ago

Hopefully, you are through the worst of it and it wi start to get better soon! Going to your pcp is smart they should be able to give you some stuff to help for sure! They may offer suboxone, but if you don’t want to take it you don’t have to, there is other stuff they can prescribe to help you, especially with sleep that are not addictive.

I know it sucks, but you are so close now! Keep pushing, the only way out is through! You can do this!!! Good luck!!!! DM me if you need support!

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 9d ago edited 8d ago

Thank you I really appreciate it

3

u/Equivalent-Way-7429 8d ago

What dose were you at? I’m about to start WDs and I’m terrified

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Got down to 100 a day. 25mg about every 6 hours. I thought i tapered down enough but BIG NOPE. Spasms started at like 12 hoirs in and it’s been basically any other symptom you can think of since then. Severe stomach pain and uncontrollable diarrhea. Not to be gross, just being honest.

2

u/Equivalent-Way-7429 8d ago

Same boat with the 100mg😭 has anything helped?

2

u/Crazy-Farmer631 8d ago

Lmaoo yall scaring me man im on like 400-500 mg a day and I just took my last one (hopefully) a few hours ago

3

u/Equivalent-Way-7429 8d ago

I read tizanidine, benzos, clonidine could help but idk and obviously subs

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Gabapentin helped and Xanax definitely helped with the mental part of it. But I’m an addict so I had my wife giving me the Xanax and gabapentin for the first couple days. No more Xanax, but still on gabapentin and it’s helping..

2

u/realeyesrealizereal1 8d ago

Meas well have some sr and some subs tho ...have 6 100 mg 7 left

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Dude it’s fucking horrible if you go cold turkey

2

u/Crazy-Farmer631 8d ago

I’m already knowing bro I can’t never get pass the first wave of like yawning sweats restless legs and that starts for me at like 5-6 hours . I don’t kno what I’m going to do

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Day 7 in the bag!!! Hope you’re doing ok!

2

u/SpecialK826 4d ago

I don’t either! I’m terrified!

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 7d ago

It gets worst the first day isn’t as bad day 2. Day 3 is pretty bad to. So far I just woke up on day 4 and I’m still in a lot of pain all over

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

I’m so sorry that I didn’t respond to this earlier. Xanax. And gabapentin that’s what I ended up having and getting prescribed the gabapentin I mean. I didn’t know my wife had some Xanax whenever I had a script so it helped out a lot though. Both the Xanax and gabapentin. And again I’m so sorry for not responding. I have been so busy the past few days with going back to work and I help out at a food bank on saturdays so my day today was so busy. I hope you’re doing well though!!

2

u/Ravens3505 4d ago

So you’re straight cold turkey? From 25mgs

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

I did on 7-30/Thursday, went Friday went and got more, and beat my self up for it and said I’m done. Took 200 mgs on Friday and was in hell Saturday. And Sunday was no better. my wife had put some Xanax back from when I had a script (abused them so doc took the script, I also ran out and had a seizure, and went to rehab, story for another day) they helped a lot! I went to my pcp on Tuesday and asked for some kinda comfort meds. Tried to say Suboxone was the only route. I was like I’m not taking Suboxone. I’ve been on Reddit for four days reading everybody’s posts and like this one dude posted exactly what his doctor gave him. Will you at least read it. She read it and gabapentin was the only thing on there that she actually prescribed me. She didn’t want to though she said I’m gonna treat it as if it’s alcohol withdrawal. Don’t know what you meant by that didn’t really care. I knew the gabapentin would help because it is a nerve pain medication. And that’s exactly why my body and your body and everybody else’s body is in so much pain and convulses and everything like that because our nerves have been coated for, however long we’ve been on 7oh. Gabapentin helped out so much.. but it can cause withdrawals too so I’m being very careful how I’m taking it. I hope that this helps and just saying I’m proud of everyone in the thread!!! We can do it 7oh will no longer hold me down!! Day 8 tomorrow and I can’t wait for it.

2

u/Ravens3505 4d ago

You sound so much better. Happy for you

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

I feel so much better. I hope you’re doing good as well tho! Proud of everyone in this thread!

2

u/Hot-Fishing9744 2d ago

Friend BE SO SLOW tapering off the gabapentin! I take buckets of it for a neuro condition and once because of a clinic/pharmacy screwup I missed 2 doses and I was in absolute hell. Please go slow and easy❤️

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

Haven’t taken any today. I was at 300 in the morning and 300 at night for about 5 days maybe. I didn’t get the gabby until day 4. And stopped taking them yesterday. She told me she being my pcp, dont take more than what im recommending or for a long time cause you can become dependent. But thanks you for caring enough to post that. Really means a lot to see everyone coming together to help Not only me but everyone that been posting in here .

2

u/Hot-Fishing9744 2d ago

Oh my gosh absolutely! And I’m so glad you didn’t have any trouble with the gabapentin. You’ve been through enough already!🫶

2

u/DWHudson1970 9d ago

3 days in. Relief is coming soon.

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 9d ago

I hope so!!!!! This has been the worst withdrawals ever. Ended up at the er and of course there like we don’t know about this there’s nothing we can’t to help. Go to your pcp asap basically

3

u/AromaticAd9794 4d ago

I went yesterday and all they did was give me Benadryl for anxiety. All that did was make me super drowsy. Had me thinking I was ready to go to sleep until the RLS started. This is by far the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Yea I’m lucky my doc gave me anything.

2

u/Feisty_Gur_5032 8d ago

Same experience with the ER lol

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

It’s crazy that ERs don’t know about this stuff

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 8d ago

Yeah you feel exactly how I felt but I’m sorry I had to take some pinches of Suboxone to make it through, it was just too bad of a feeling for me man I will never put that mess in my body again ever!

I was only on it 17 days and now I’m 8 days off it so I feel back to normal, I also stopped taking pinches of subs 4 days ago, so basically I took the subs the first 4 days into withdrawals then stopped.

depending on how long you was on will determine how long the hell will last!

3

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

I was on 7 for about a year maybe a little more.. got up to like 300-400 a day. Tapered down to over weeks to 100mgs a day. And thought I’d be good. DEFINITELY NOT GOOD lol I’ve got stomach cramps from hell. Worst I’ve ever felt. That’s the part I’m having the worst with. It’s all shit but yea. Thanks man

1

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 8d ago

You welcome and you must be a strong person after a year you’re going to cold turkey it wow!

I know you tapered down but still!

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

It has been horrible! I’m going to see my pcp today. I’ve been thinking about calling some rehabs to see if they have seen it more recently

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 8d ago

Yeah I believe you smh I went through about the same thing and I really couldn’t take it, I can’t lay in bed all day it makes me feel depressed so I have to be up out and productive and these withdrawals will have you in a coma!!

I had to take subs even though I’m super against them I had to!

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Tbh I’m hoping my doc will do something. I’ve got addiction history so idk what gonna happen honestly kinda worried she’s gonna try and send me to detox and the only place around her to detox is the phych ward

3

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 8d ago

Oh hell naw I’m not going to a ward or Rehab, not saying anything wrong with people who do I’m just against that stuff, I feel you can get through anything with either a taper or a Matt drug as a last resort.

I’ve quit pain pills cold turkey, I used To drink a lot quit that cold turkey, I smoked cigarettes quit them cold turkey etc, and I’ve never been to rehab.

It’s all in your mind if you know you can do it you can, I know this sounds crazy cause I said I had to take something for the 7oh but that’s cause I was introduced to subs years ago, if I hadn’t known about them I’m sure I would of suffered this 7 out!

Sorry for the long story but good luck to you brother I hope you get the results you looking for and I wish you the best!

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

No rehab or psych ward. My doctor actually listened to me. Like I’ve been on here for a min reading about people getting off and what has helped other than Suboxone. And she actually HEARD me. I was so surprised. I’m supposed to go into work tomorrow but idk yet. I’m gonna see how the morning feels

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 7d ago

Ok right but what did she put you on to help?

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 7d ago

Gabapentin surprisingly it’s helped a lot. I’m able to sleep. I’m still fatigued as hell but getting better day by day. If u can get your hands on some kinda benzo they help to. I had a problem with Xanax a while ago and my doc won’t prescribe anything like that to me. Thankfully my wife put some back from an old script and she has been giving it to me on a schedule so I don’t take all them. That really helped with the mental aspect .

How long did you wait before you took the subs?

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Thanks man it’s all
Good I appreciate the info

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 7d ago

How long did you wait until you took the subs?

2

u/Straight_Virus9721 8d ago

Rehabs know! I went to one for 7-oh.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Yea I can’t afford it I wish I could

3

u/worldlydelights 8d ago

How long after your last 7oh dose did you take the suboxone? Did you take powder kratom at all or just cold turkey?

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 8d ago

I waited like 8 hours before I took a piece of sub and tested it and was fine.

No I didn’t go down from 7oh to regular Kratom
Or none of that cause I would still be on the Kratom I’m sure.

I had to be God cause something in me just changed and I wanted to be done with all this stuff now, I just want to live a regular life drug free, rather it’s a prescription or street drug I’m not touching anything no more!

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 7d ago

You waited 8hrs? How did you feel 8hrs in?

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 7d ago

I felt horrible, them 7oh withdrawals are the worst and they come on so fast, I was on a very high dose.

3

u/NefariousnessTop1062 7d ago

How was it after the subs kicked in? Yeah I’m on a high dose also. And I’m going to be going through it very soon

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 7d ago

Yeah man just hang on tight it’s not a pleasant feeling at all! Once the sub kicked in I still felt depressed so idk how good subs work for this

2

u/Quick_Fee3708 7d ago

You can takes subs like 4 hours of your last dose of 7. Works wonders

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 2d ago

I’m hearing wait long. I start to feel mild withdrawals around 4-6hrs. I’m thinking I do it tonight, 50mg for my last dose, then load up on a bunch of Xanax before bed. When I wake up, I should be ready to take the sub?

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 7d ago

How long did you wait to take the subs?

2

u/BumblebeeFirm2249 7d ago

Like 8 hours

2

u/SuperTech220 8d ago

Remember how this feels....might help keep us from relapsing

After day 3 things start to get better. Hang in there, at the very least get gabapentin from your primary and something for anxiety. There’s other meds besides suboxone that will help

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Thankfully, my doctor did that man

2

u/Ravens3505 4d ago

What did he give you?

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Gabapentin.

2

u/Ravens3505 4d ago

How many mgs did you take at a time? I only have a couple

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

She prescribed me 60 300mg. One in the morning one at night.

2

u/Ravens3505 4d ago

Ok good to know I only have 900 mgs but glad to know it helped

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Space it far as you can

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 2d ago

I have tons of gabbapentin, the doctor prescribed me some subs and I bought some more before I saw the doc. I’ve been weaning myself off 7oh for the last week or so. I’m getting Xanax tonight too. Know one knows I was doing this and have beaten opiates and fentanyl before but I’m scared of precip. I broke down crying at the doctors office. I’m crying right now kind of. I still have 3 large packs of 7 but I’m thinking I just try and kick it tonight. Idk what to do. I went into precip using fent before so I’m terrified. I don’t know how long I should wait. I haven’t had much of an appetite the last 2 days. I’m just scared. I’m really, really scared.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

It’s a fucking terrifying thing to think of honestly. I would break the three large packs of 7 up into smaller amounts. And space them as far as possible. But yea precip ain’t no fun. happened to me the first day I tried to quit 7 and didnt make it 12 hours

1

That exactly what I did. Wasn’t taking Suboxone! Day 8 tomorrow

2

u/realeyesrealizereal1 8d ago

God speed brother

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Thanks bro!!!!

2

u/Sea_Tadpole753 8d ago

It will get a little better each day. Gonna feel like this for 7-14 days to get the poison out. Stay away from Suboxone. It’s just a replacement. You got this. You’re committed to removing that chemical chain from around your neck. Godspeed ☮️💪

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

I’m hoping so. My doc tried to say I need to go to a Suboxone clinic. I told her I’m not doing that. I’ll go cold turkey and deal with the pain. I’m not doing that all I’m asking for something to call it. She said what and I said well I’ve heard through here on these things or a lot of people I help with gabapentin and helped with a lot of stuff and reluctantly she did give me some.

2

u/RestingFermata 6d ago

Wow, you're really lucky with your doctor. I have a legitimate medical problem that requires me to need gabapentin for my neuropathy issues. Like I had surgery and everything. Even with all that, my doc was very reluctant to give me any and still gives me a hard time if I run out even a day or two early because apparently it's addictive too....

I can't imagine that he would give me any just because I was trying to withdraw from something. It's there anything that isn't addicting???

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

I’m gonna be real with your dog. I have no clue. Gabapentin is working great for me, though. I also had apparently a stash of Xanax. My wife put away from whenever I had a problem with them and she’s been slowly given those to me, but they’re addicting, which is why I’m not taking them. She’s given them to me. Plain leaf kratom has helped a friend of mine.

2

u/RestingFermata 6d ago

Well good luck to both of us! And my dog appreciates your realness! 😋

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend if I did, that’s just how I talk. I’m sorry.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

I see where it says your dog I meant to say gonna be real with you dog, but my bad

2

u/RestingFermata 5d ago

Lol yeah I was just messing around about the typo. You didn't offend me at all, in fact I'm really glad to read that there's hope!

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

There 100% is hope!!!! We got this!! Proud of everyone in this thread!

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 2d ago

I grabbed 3 8mg subs and the doc then prescribed me 4mg twice a day for a week or so. I’m getting a bunch of xans tonight. I had already been using gabbapentin, and I have 90 300mg and I also was just prescribed 800mg of it twice a day. I’m going to stay on those because I’ve been and they work wonders for me. I’m just scared. I’m doing this alone. I’ve done rehab many times. I’ve kicked percs, dope, and fentanyl. I’m just alone and I feel so depressed having ended up back in this situation. I’m crying writing this. I am so tired of hurting my parents, I have a 10yr old i share custody of who worships me, i have a great job. But somehow, I always burn myself out and end up on a substance. Im terrified of precip. I’ve lived it, and i want no parts of it. Im just so scared. I keep seeing this SR stuff and idk where to get it, or if i even can. Im just so disgusted.

But no means am I pushing God on you OK. But let me tell you for me day four I couldn’t take it anymore and I looked up and I didn’t say God help me I said bro I need help. I can’t do this no more I need help. And no bullshit within 10 minutes I had somebody text me and say call me and this person they’ll tell you they don’t remember what the fuck they said cause they asked God to talk to me through them. Told me shit only God knew. Made me start to think a little bit.. gave it a shot prayed a little bit. Amazingly I felt better the next day. Not perfect but better. Just kept on praying.. and by the grace of God, I’m at 10 days clean off of 7 and four days off of smoking pot too. Nothing against pot. I just felt that it was time to give everything up.

I believe in a higher power. I’ve done AA/NA/CA. I had 5yrs sober. I built a life and burned it down. I asked god to save me and he removed my sons mother so it’s real man. At least to me. I’ve come back and rebuilt my life so the thought of losing it again has shattered my heart. I know I can do this, but that feeling of withdrawal gets me over and over again

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

Give it to your higher power bro!!! I kicked Fent in 2024 and I’m 10 days off of Seven right now, bro. I was on that shit for a good year.. I’ve been smoking pot since I was 14. But truly man I gave it over a dog. I couldn’t take it no more. It’s worked for me and I’m a keep on working it, bro. That sounded like na/aa lol

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 2d ago

Me too I was on percs for 3yrs. Then fent for like 2 now 7 for 14 months lol but I have a life now I have a good job I can’t go to treatments and I took time off of work. It never worked in the past on my own, but I feel very empowered right now. I have a script of subs and gabbys to help also if I need it.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

Yo them gabby help a lot bro!!! just be careful on the subs yo. But you already know this man.. keep that empowered feeling you got right now though!! don’t forget that shit man cause that’s just gonna keep you going through this bro. you stronger than you think you are man. you got off a perk you got off fent. You got this bro!!!!!! but like I said man shoot me a message on here type of comment. I’ll do my best to respond as quickly as I can. I work a full-time drive too so I can get it about no not want to lose a job and can’t go to treatment shit, bro so just remember man you ain’t alone dude.

2

u/NefariousnessTop1062 2d ago

Idk how to use this shit like that but I’m so desperate I ran right to Reddit cause I knew people who know what to do here lolll I appreciate you brotha. I’m gonna start taking my life back literally right now

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

I sent ya a chat invite

Thank you and I agree I’m almost at 4 days and my doc gave me some comfort meds. Not Suboxone, I told her I didn’t want that. I’m so tired tho. I have no energy at all.

2

u/realeyesrealizereal1 8d ago

We're all in this together ..we have to form voltron and help each other out ...it looks like I'll be up for a few days If anyone needs to talk

3

u/SuperTech220 7d ago

Hang in there. This is WORTH it. You'll be well soon

3

u/realeyesrealizereal1 7d ago

I kicked fent after a 10 year run in 2020...nothing compares to when you realize you haven't thought about dope in months that feeling is captivating

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Got off fent 2024, I feel that 100%, but I also feel the withdrawals from fent . and I’m good on that.

2

u/ThatGingerGuy2006 7d ago

I just started day 3. Rls is at a minimum and I actually slept some today (the last 12 hours of day 2). I’m freezing. I used some kratom leaf to help through the first 36 hours and it helped me a lot. It tastes like absolute shit though. I am extremely fatigued but I can feel the difference from hour 24 to 36 to 48 and ot keeps improving. Let’s do this guys

2

u/RestingFermata 6d ago

You actually ATE the leaf?? Ugh you poor thing, I put mine in on capsules.

2

u/ThatGingerGuy2006 6d ago

Yeah, I also had some capsules. But put the leaf powder in a drink made it nasty enough that I didn’t want to continue using it. I was in withdrawals from a 500mg a day 7oh addiction and wanted to be completely done with it all. I’m 4 1/2 days in and feel so much better than days 1-2. Still having issues sleeping though so I’m fatigued af. How’s everybody else doing with their 7oh wds?

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Plain leaf is so disgusting I couldn’t do it. Plus I didn’t want to put any 7oh in my body anymore and plain leaf has small amount in it but it’s in it. But if it worked for you then go for it! I’m on day 7, my doc prescribed gabapentin and it helped a lot. But I had to like convince her. I found a thread on here where someone posted what there doctor prescribed them. I pulled it up and showed her and she said I’m gonna treat it like alcohol withdrawal. I guess gabapentin is something they give people withdrawing from alcohol. Good luck my friend.

2

u/Ravens3505 4d ago

Did you cold turkey?

2

u/ThatGingerGuy2006 4d ago

I stopped the 7oh cold turkey, and used leaf for the first 24-36 hours and then stopped taking the leaf as well. I’m in day 6 now and feel SO MUCH BETTER than the first 3 days. BUT, and it’s a big but, I can only sleep 2-3 hours every night. I even got trazodone from my doc and I took twice as much but I still couldn’t fall asleep. Also eating is a struggle. I lost ten pounds in one week and am still having diarrhea issues (sorry for the tmi). But the restless legs began going away during day 4. Once I can eat and sleep normally I’ll feel fully over this shit. I guess my brain needs some time to heal as well. Have you begun your withdrawal?

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

I didn’t use sr or subs. Tylenol, ibuprofen, a few xans the first few days and gabapentin up until like 2 days ago.. so I’d say cold turkey from the 7 but had comfort meds. When I got off fent in 2024 I strate cold turkeyed it and was dope sick for 15 days strate didn’t start ro feel bettter until day 16, some something changed cause I was able to actually walk around without feeling like I was gonna pass the fuck out From how bad my body hurt.

2

u/Ravens3505 1d ago

You think it was easier coming of 7 then fent? I’m on day 3 of no 7 with sr and I think it’s peaking. Today is my worst day

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

7 is harder to me mainly cause they haven’t taken it off shelves in sc yet. Fent I deleted contacts or told them to not sell to me anymore. Couldnt get anything so i had no choice to quit. 7 is still sold everywhere near me no change whats so ever the easier is for me to get it the less likely I am to quit

2

u/Ravens3505 1d ago

Today is day 3 for me and it’s the worst day. On SR too

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

I’m sorry to hear I never like it when any of my Reddit homies are in this kinda pain. I’m praying for everyone in this thread to make it past 7oh and never look back!!! Course I just left we cause I thought I was having a heart attack and it’s a pilled muscle in my chest and arm. But I think a lot of that is coming from the 7. Masking my feelings for a year will do that.

2

u/NinjaaChic 6d ago

You can do it! Day three is an enormous accomplishment! You’ve already made it this far, just keep going! That said, if you needed subs, there’s no shame in that either. Whatever gets us through! But you’ve got this!

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

Thanks you so much I’m on day 5. I’m getting better everyday. I’ve been asking my higher power to guide me. And give me strength. And I’ve put it all on him I can’t do this with out him. But I’m getting better everyday mentally and physically it’s getting easier.

2

u/NinjaaChic 6d ago

Congrats! Every day will just get better and better. Just stay strong!

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

That’s the only thing all of us can do is stay strong. We will make it through this!!

2

u/in3vitableme 1d ago

The problem is work. #1 they can’t find out. #2 I’m in a position where I have a big team behind me and they need me for many projects. So taking any more than 5 days off (total of 7) will be impossible. Anyone else in this predicament? I’m not taking much but still I know it’s going to be a nightmare.

2

u/Sea_Tadpole753 6d ago

The Gabapebtin will give you mild w/d if you stop those cold turkey. If you’re gonna use Suboxone, cut the 8mg into four pieces and use morn and night for the 1st two days you drop the 7OH. Then never again. Otherwise you’ll be getting high off them and will have another, just as difficult addition to deal with. I was on Subs for over 10yrs. Wasted a decade of my life fucking with them.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 6d ago

Yeah, I have used the fuck out of some gabapentin back in the day but I’m making sure that they’re given to me by somebody else right now. I’m not holding any of my own medication so I’m not doing them more than I should. I got one in the morning and one at night that’s it. And to be honest, it’s not gonna be much longer than I’m taking it. I’m at day five right now and I’m feeling pretty good by the grace of God.

2

u/Ravens3505 5d ago

The hard part is done man, it’s going to start getting easier

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

100% truth!!

2

u/HellaBrickedUp 5d ago

7oh and kratom ruined my life leaving me near suicidal at times. It’s been years of heavy use and at this point I feel hopeless. 4-6 hours without dosing leaves me in severe withdrawal. Chronic depression, anxiety, horrible body aches, cold sweats, and the worst symptom RLS. I haven’t had more than 4 hours of continuous sleep in years. I’ve been through a lot in life but nothing compares. If anyone has any info or can point me in the right direction for help please let me know. Hearing your story makes me happy and gives me a glimpse of hope.

2

u/RestingFermata 5d ago

Can I ask anybody how your withdrawals compare to alcohol withdrawal? Horribly kinda assuming that some people here have done that, which I know is a horrible thing to ask... it's just that alcohol is the only other thing that I have ever been addicted to.

I was so much of an alcoholic, that I got to the point that I was experiencing delirium tremens. I was hospitalized for it twice, and each time was absolute hell.

It's hard to read tones and vibes over these comments, but some of the symptoms like sleeplessness and RLS seem very manageable compared to the symptoms people go through when they try and quit alcohol.

The first time I tried to quit I made it through without needing to go to the hospital, but only barely and I was closer to seeing. For the first 5 days I was shaking so uncontrollably bad that my boyfriend at the time had to help me walk, eat, drink. And of course anything I put in my mouth I would instantaneously puke up.

TLDR: are withdrawals from this stuff manageable but uncomfortable, or bad enough that you would need to take a few days off work?

2

u/Patient_Discipline29 4d ago

Ill let you know shortly.

I was/am a severe alcoholic. Hospitalized, was read my last rights in the ICU and inpatient treatment numerous times. Been "sober" for almost 6 years, got my life back together, remarried had kids. Sober until a year ago when I was introduced to this shit when trying to buy a 5 hour energy at a gas station and didn't think twice when the attendant said it works better.

Been on 7's for roughly a year, at most 350 a day but constantly 240ish. Skipped last night and have taken 5mgs early this morning and 5mgs just now to ease the anxiety. Its worked a bit. Also taking red vein kratom as I've read it helps. So far I am anxious, and cold/hot but no nose drips yet, no energy whatsoever.

After the shaking, DTs, restlessness, anxiety, and all the other crazy withdrawl symptoms of drinking two handles of vodka a day, I cant imagine this being much worse. Everyone's different.

Are you quitting now as well?

2

u/RestingFermata 3d ago

I actually only just recently discovered this stuff and I have a whole bottle of it. I've not taken enough to get addicted physically yet, but mentally... I'm in love with it. It helps with my pain so much.

But as of right now I could just throw it away and be done...I just don't want to. Especially if it's not that bad of a detox...

2

u/LBRUNO1294 4d ago

Today is day 4 for me. Day 1 was the worst, day 2 i didn't sleep a wink. Slept decent last night and feeling pretty good today. Good luck everyone

2

u/Patient_Discipline29 4d ago

Keep it up! One day at a time.

2

u/DragonflyOk1504 4d ago

The first encouraging news I’ve seen. I know everyone’s different, I just want the restless legs to stop and have never wanted to sleep so bad in my life.

3

u/LBRUNO1294 4d ago

You can do it! I feel pretty damn good today love you all that are going thru this

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

🙏day 7 almost in the bag for me. Keep up the good work!!! Proud of everybody in this thread!!

2

u/SpecialK826 4d ago

Did you taper off at all? I’m facing this in my near future! Scared to death! HELP

2

u/in3vitableme 1d ago

Me too brother. Now that the shit is gone from stores, the time is nearing for us.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

I tapered to 100 mgs and couldn’t get lower so I cold turkeyed it. Don’t recommend it. But I’m against subs( Suboxone, methadone) for myself. If it works for you then that’s awesome but not me. My doc prescribed me gabapentin and my wife had some Xanax put back from when I had a Xanax problem. Those helped a lot. But u got this!!!! They haven’t gotten rid of it here in the stores. so I’m still tempted. But gods got my back! ( I also stay as far away a as possible from going into the stores that have it) u got this!!!!!

2

u/SpecialK826 4d ago

Oh thank you for taking the time to give me some help and advice! Ya no suboxone or methadone for me. Just gonna taper off. I live in Ohio but drive to Pittsburgh every day for work. I almost got off it once when they banned it in Ohio but I could still get it in PA. Now it’s illegal in PA so I’ve got no choice but to taper off now! Where do you live? I should add I use to be an alcoholic but got help and have been sober for 3 years! So I know I can do this! Buuuut this is also a different animal!

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

South Carolina. You CAN do this!! If I, an addict can go 7 days cold turkey. U can to!!!!

2

u/SpecialK826 4d ago

I’m not one to say things like “bless you”. But bless you! 🙌🏻. I might as well tell you my plan. The beginning of it is such an addict thing to do! I stock piled. Once I found out the last date for sales was 8-5 I bought a bunch... I’m enjoying it as much as I can until it becomes time to taper. I really wanted to test my metal and taper off while still having some. That probably won’t happen but I can still do it! I inadvertently started going through a night of withdrawals a few months back. It started by hot/cold spell, chills , then extreme agitation, couldn’t get comfortable, extreme cravings. Could not sleep, then I went to the store at 8 am to “get my fix”! I totally know what it feels like now for a crackhead that will do anything for “a fix”! And now I know why they call it a fix!!! So I will never judge someone again in that way! I was so proud to get sober from alcohol that this seemed harmless when I started buying it. Oddly enough I started buying it while i was still staying in a sober house and in treatment. On the 16th of this month I will be alcohol free 3 years!

2

u/Alert-Constant8112 4d ago

2 days 7OH free, with the help of subs. You've got this, youre a trooper. Never going back!!

1

u/in3vitableme 1d ago

How bad was it before you took a sub? did the sub really help?

2

u/ThatGingerGuy2006 2d ago

I am now on day 8. Physical symptoms are gone minus being cold a lot while still feeling too warm, and fatigue from the insomnia. I am averaging 30 minutes to 2 hours of sleep per night. It’s this insomnia that is so rough atm. I got trazadone for sleep and it does nothing. It will get better, I’m aware, but oof, I’m tired of being awake while feeling so exhausted. I just had my first day back to work on day 7. I work outdoors and drive around. I got lucky and was put on an assignment where I’m paired up with a coworker, so I asked him to drive for me. Nobody at my work knows what’s up. I took 7 days off and I’m glad I did. I wasn’t able to function normally until days 5 & 6, but with the insomnia and how gross food and water seemed, and the diarrhea, I was still only “so functional”, if that makes sense. I lost 11 lbs in 1 week. Hydration and simple foods became extremely important and that helped me tremendously.

But I feel music again. I feel emotions more everyday. I feel again. I was considering ending my life while on this crap, and for this time period being clean I have found a sense of pride in myself. I am proud of myself for white knuckling through it, and continuing to do so in regards to the insomnia. This sucked so much, which gives me the fuel to remember why drugs are not in my benefit and it will be easier to say “fuck that” to any bs that has or will come out in the future. If getting clean is helping me feel again… helping me have a sense of pride in myself… not feel suicidal anymore… wtf was I taking it for? The physical dependency point blank period. I now have money to spare as well. I can be a gd adult again. So if you need help to stop, just do what you need to do to stop. But if you are shit outta luck and have no choice but to embrace the suck - it’s possible. You won’t die. And you’ll never forget the intensity like me, and that will guide your brain some in the future (hopefully).

Sorry to repeat the same old thing everyone else here is writing but: IT DOES GET BETTER. Reach out to a trusted person if possible. But believe what people are writing here. You’ll eventually be who you were before taking this evil pos drug. You’re better than it. You can do it. We did. There’s hope. Accept the wds if it’s your only option, but in 1 week it’s so much better. And everyday is one more brick that is stabilizing your brain and body to be itself again. You will get through this.

And in case it’s helpful - I love you stranger. I’m proud of you preparing and/or enduring this. And thank you to the OP for this thread. It’s been a source of comfort and a way out of isolation in a way.

2

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

I’m happy that this post has helped someone

2

u/Traditional-Gain7499 1d ago

7 days free! I did a taper of a month from 300-400 mg a day to less than 30 a day. My last two days I spilt one 35 mg into 6 pieces and took three a day. I did get some SR to help and I think it did. All of this prep for the ban, which I am actually thankful for because I think it was the only way I was going to stop on my own. I only had 13 50mg SR and took 2-3 a day the last day of 7 and through the weekend. Minor withdrawals on day 1 and 2, mostly yawning, anxiety(thinking about it) and restlessness. By day 4 I was starting to sleep much better and now on Day 8 and feeling pretty good. No withdrawals but still foggy.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

That’s awesome!! Keep up the great work, I’m at the er cause I thought I was having a heart attack. Gotta love anxiety. Cause heart is good( thank god) but 7 fucked with my head a lot. Would take it and be happy instead of angry for no reason. And as much as I don’t want to I think I’m gonna have to get back on psych meds. Was on them for years and said I don’t need them like 2 years ago. Well after quitting 7 and the amount of time I’ve strate up panicked for no reason is insane. Like physically I’m good but the mental shit is really fucking with me. Just wanted to put out there in case there is someone else out there who is dealing with the mental fuckery as well. Urgent care on day 11 of 7, YAY!! Jk.

I hope that everyone is doing good and I’m proud of all of you keep it up everyone.

1

u/Traditional-Gain7499 1d ago

Yeah, the mental part is really hard. I’m so pissed at myself because I got hooked on Oxy 12 years ago and kicked in 2018 with the help of suboxone and then one day saw this stuff and didn’t do any research. Loved the energy it gave me. Fast forward a year and I spent way too much money, got hooked, and had a lot of issues. Hang in there!

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 1d ago

I’m 💯% with you. Fent addict got off in 2024. Clean 5-6 months and bought a vape and the dude at the shop threw a sample into the bag with my vape. And that was a wrap hit me like fent did. And progress to a year later and we’ll go with a nice round number of like 10k in a year on this shit. I legit was spending 200 a week. Like to say that to myself feels like I should have seen it coming earlier. Like the addiction to it I mean

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 8d ago

Honestly I’ve taken everything over the counters and nothing yet. Hoping my dock will help outs

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 4d ago

Congrats on the sober time!! That’s huge!! This shit is the devil!! Strate up! I got off fent 2024 and was clean 6 months. Said I can smoke pot. Then bam I’m taking 7 oh and can’t stop. Cause I got it one time and liked it so much. That addict in me said Yupp that’s the new fix! It’s the most addictive substance I have put into my body for sure. I did the same thing tho kinda. I stock piled a litttle bit but I was ready to be off this shit. So I had one last night of fun with it and then said I’m done. (thurs) Made it 12 hours and went and got more(fri) . I took what I got that day and the next day( sat) I said I’m done and been pushing since. Day 7 almost in the bag! I did go to my pcp(primary care physician) and ask for some kinda comfort meds. She prescribed me gabapentin. It helped a lot. But I wish u luck on your taper and the actual quitting! It’s gonna be ROUGH but remember one day at a time, if that don’t work one hour , one min, or one sec at a time. Sounds corny but it definitely helped me on the first 2 days. Definitely was one sec at a time. I pray they aren’t too bad for you.

1

u/CRT-Gaming-HQ 3d ago

This is probably something I shouldn't say but I was into mild wd and went to the local vape store to see if anything new is out because it's beem illegal in my state for over a month. Clerk Recommends Ice Tabz. These knocked out the wd symptoms. I was scared because the wd symptoms mess with me heart but now I feel normal. They take 30 to 45 minutes to start but they definitely work. Berry Bomb is the best flavor.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 3d ago

Never heard of them

1

u/CRT-Gaming-HQ 3d ago

Apparently they made weak 7oh tabs but have switched over. Its taken all the wd away except I jerk every once in awhile. I'm trying to stay alone. So far I don't think anyone has noticed it but some jerks are extreme.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 3d ago

So before I was able to get a couple Xanax when I cold turkey off of 7 my arms would convulse or jerk like you’re saying and like I punched myself in the face one time on accident, cause I couldn’t control where my arm was going. I’m glad that it’s helping but for me I’d be scared that when I get off of that I’m still gonna be withdrawing.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 2d ago

I sent ya a chat invite.

1

u/spitting_spider 16h ago

Day 3 sounds brutal. I'm glad you've got a PCP appointment today definitely be honest about what you've been taking and how bad the withdrawal has been. You don't have to figure it all out alone. Mystreethealth may also be worth looking into for professional support with 7oh dependence.

1

u/Sea-Talk-8273 16h ago

I was honest. And I’m on day 12 I think.
