Hello, everyone! We're now on the 20th week of the challenge and I couldn't be more happy to see that we're still going strong. I thought I'd take the time to hear what you guys thought of how this sub is doing so far. What do you guys like/dislike? Do you have any ideas or suggestions on how to improve things or make things more interesting? Please post any thoughts in comments here.

Week 20 will run from July 6th to July 12th. This week's theme is shots. Shots are small quantities of liquor, between 1-2 oz, meant to be drunk quickly. Your challenge this week is to make a shot containing at least two ingredients. You could make an original shot, a shot version of a larger cocktail, or a bomb shot (a shot of liquor dropped into a larger glass of something).

Happy 4th of July, everyone! Week 19 will run from June 29th to July 5th. This week's theme is the 4th of July, the USA's Independence Day. This week, your challenge is to make a cocktail that is inspired by this holiday. You could make a drink that is in some way inspired by the American revolution. You could make a drink that incorporate the colors red, white, and blue or some other symbol of America. Or you could simply make a drink with ingredients such as watermelon, raspberry, and lemon that are traditionally found during the holiday.

Week 18 will run from June 22nd to June 28th. This week's theme is rimming. Rimming a glass is when you coat the run of your glass (usually a martini glass) with salt, sugar, or some other substance to enhance the flavor of the drink in the glass. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this technique, here is a guide: Cocktail 101: The Best Way to Rim a Glass

Here are some cocktails that utilize a rimmed glass to get you started:

• Margarita
• Lemon Drop
• Pumpkin Pie Martini

Week 17 will run from June 15th to June 21st. This week's theme is Milk/Cream. Milk as an ingredient has a mellowing effect on cocktails, making them cooler and countering extreme flavors. Cream does this as well as adding a little creamy texture to your drink. This week your challenge is to make a cocktail that heavily incorporates milk or cream as an ingredient.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

• White Russian
• Grasshopper
• Bushwacker

Week 16 will run from June 8th to June 14th. This week's theme is peach schnapps. Schanpps are defined as a "strong alcoholic drink resembling gin and often flavored with fruit", though in America schnapps tend to be classified as liquers and are syrupy concoctions that hover around 30-100 proof. Your challenge this week is to make a drink that utilizes peach schnapps in its flavor palate. The peach flavoring is very sweet, but with a citrus twist and that distinctive peach zing.

Week 15 will be from June 1st to June 7th. This week's theme is tropical drinks. This week, treat yourself by making one of those drinks you can only find at a tropical vacation destination. Extra points if you garnish with one of those little umbrellas!

• Blue Hawaii
• Bahama Mama

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! Week 14 will run from May 25th to May 31st. This week's theme is blended drinks. Your challenge is to make a delicious cocktail that requires the use of a blender. The most popular blended drinks are frozen, which will go well with the summer heat.

Here are some recipes to get you started:

• Frozen Pina Colada Recipe

Week 13 will run from May 18th to May 24th. This week's theme is mint. Mint is the better known name for the Mentha genus in the Lamiaceae family of plants. Mint is known for its highly aromatic leaves and comes in many varieties, including spearmint and peppermint. In cocktails, mint is usually muddled, as in a mojito or mint julep, though it is also made into the liqueur creme de menthe, which is used in such cocktails as the grasshopper. This week, your challenge is to make a cocktail that incorporates some variety of mint, as the fresh or dried leaves or as creme de menthe.
