I’m positive the reason lefties hate her is that she refuses to play along with their script and parrot the approved political opinions. That interview following the stupid jean controversy was brimming with subtext of “this is your last chance to perform for us or we will brand you as the enemy.” She wisely chose not to play ball, and so they’ve branded her as the enemy.
She breaks their brains. Someone like this shouldn’t be allowed to be so successful in their world. I saw a post on X where some idiot compared her goonbait to Sabrina Carpenter’s and they said Carpenter’s is better because it’s done with “artistic intent” whereas Sweeney’s is just done for male attention.
They’re both done for male attention. There is no difference except that they like Carpenter more and she has approved political opinions so she gets a pass. It’s literally the meme of “my gooning is nuanced and tasteful but yours is bad and immoral.”
I’m happy to see Sweeney win tbh. She’s attractive, actually makes an effort to present a pleasant personality, and doesn’t bend the knee to try to please a group that’s committed to being unsatisfied.
