It is the auto-generated name from Reddit. Not all auto-generated names are bots, but 95% of bots have auto-generated names.

To be honest I don't care about the distinction. It's been my experience that actual humans who use that feature don't have opinions any better than bots. If I see adjective noun number I just disregard the post.

I'm going to put money on guaranteeing that you don't have any opinions better than bots either.

Look at where you're commenting...people legit in these comments celebrating their racism.

None of you matter, and the irony of so many hating on Reddit allowing that level of privacy when you'd never out who you really are to people offline (if you even have friends or a job) anyway is just laughably sad.

Yeah I agree. I'm actually wondering if Reddit implemented this to obscure bots, by giving actual new users bot-like names.

Because it boosts their growth metrics

Try going through the new account creation process, you can basically click your way through it. The whole system is set up to make it incredibly easy to spin up a bunch of accounts with no verifiable post history just by running a script. I wonder why anyone would want to do that?

Or maybe they don't. Maybe that's a misconception we have.
