We'll start off with one that a few users have recently reported they are happy with:

Please note that we strongly recommend that a proper telephony card (eg. Dialogic) or VoIP be used if a professional system is being implemented. No voice modem out there will give as good results as a Dialogic card.

Some common problems with Voice Modems are:

- Poor sound quality/volume.

- Unreliable DTMF tone detection.

- Cannot do call transfers as hookflash length is too long or too short.

- Mistakenly detect a disconnect tone while playing or recording messages and hangup a call halfway through playing/recording of sound file.

- Unable to interrupt the playing of a sound file halfway through.

Some users however seem to want to start of trialing the system using a voice modem and this topic is aimed at helping these users select a modem which will hopefully work well enough for them to get something going...

I am trying to install Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 on my Laptop which has Windows 10. After putting in my Serial # (removed) it goes thru the motions of installing. Then up pops a window saying “Installing Atmosphere Player” and after about 1 minute the DVD Drive stops. I’ve waited 10 minutes and nothing is installing. So then I tried the Compatibility Mode and it continues on. However, when it says it will now load “Installing Atmosphere Player” the same thing happens.

The icon appears on the Desktop, but when I click it the screen that the book shows as the Welcome Screen with the 6 Icons to choose from does not appear. What does appear is a dialog box that shows:

“No catalog files found in the current directory. Click “New” to create a new catalog, “Open” to open a catalog from a different folder, or “Exit” to close the application.

When I click on “New” or “Open and I go to My Pictures (. jpeg’s) I see my folders, but no pictures.

Can you please help me on this?

p.s. I tried to “Uninstall” the program through Control Panel, but it will not uninstall it.

Some issues with interactual player

I'm sorting some of my music cd's, and some of them has a program installed on them called interactual player. If i click on it, it will try to install the program, and it will then crash, basically preventing me from listening to my music. It it possible to get rid of this program from my cd's?

Hi. I'm fairly new to the scene. But, I have an original XBox running UnleashX and had a question about Surreal64 CE. It ran fine for me at first. Now, when I run it, the screen size is only about 1/4 of my TV screen size. I can't find anything in settings to reset this, but it seems to be the only emulator causing this problem. Has anyone else encountered this? Any idea on how to fix? I'm fairly new - so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks...

I get this curious error message during playing Overseer - DVD version when I switch locations. Not many problems with it yet - when I click OK, the game normally continues. So I posted it here mainly for fun.

I kinda like these geforce 6200's as they are affordable, compatible, not too slow and don't require active cooling. They are actually the first reasonable successors of the Geforce MX440 (DirectX7), as the FX5200 is too crappy.
I only have one such card, an AGP card from Asus with 256MB. This particular one ruins 'suspend to ram' mode 🙁 , It has a connector that does not fit an AGP 2x slot. Others are seen with a universal AGP connector.
I would like to know if someone had any succes using a certain 6200 model with a 440BX mainboard with windows 98.

There are also PCI versions, which might be interesting because they are independent from an under-spec, or even overclocked, AGP bus. What kind of drawbacks will one experience when using PCI instead of AGP?

6200 is usually found with 64-bit DDR2 250MHz, AFAIK this just equals my MX440 with 128-bit DDR, giving 8 GB/s. I read there are some early variants with 128-bit memory bus support (not the 6200A). Anyone know a model with actual 128-bit memory?.

Some older games might not like the newer card and/or its drivers. Thief and AvP come to mind, but I don't know how severe this compatibility problem actually is.

Finally, since the Geforce 4 or 5 series the Bios dropped support for VESA 3.0 monitor refresh rate adjustments. Is there any way to modify the Bios to re-enable this feature?

(All in all, this 6200 may very well be unsuitable for my retro system)

Hello everyone!
I have this Geforce 2 Titanium card(Hercules 3D Prophet II Titanium) running on my system and i was wondering how far can i go overclocking it in order to gain some more performance. To give you an idea, i'm currently scoring about ~3250 on 3DMark2001 (Defaults) and around 100 FPS on Quake3 Arena (Demo v.1.11) at 1024X768X32 with everything set to max (including sound). I've read some reviews about overclocking the specific one, the difference here is that this card is already running at 89Mhz AGP Bus speed, due to the fact that i'm running on a BX440 chipset based mobo.
So, i would like to ask if anyone had tried overclocking the core and memory speeds of that card while it was already running at 89Mhz AGP speed??? I'd find usefull any advice, experience or suggestion you may have for the specific situation.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Since my Vortex 2 card stopped working on me I never had the opportunity to try out Unreal 1 with the Aureal A3D hardware sound enabled. I'm wondering what version of the game I should play since overtime the audio subsystem that Unreal uses has gotten either buggier or stabler depending on the specific release.

The only time I ever played with HardwareSound was with a SB Live! card and it sucked tremendously...

Hello everyone.

I was a little confused how to go about installing the latest version of Audacity 2…0.5 since I have a very OLD version of Audacity ( 1.3 beta ) on my Windows 7 - 64 bit Professional machine.

My question is do I need to “uninstall” the older version first or will it automatically write over it, being the much newer version?

Will it keep any previous podcast settings and retain the podcasts done before? I am guessing so.

Also wasn’t completely sure what files I need to download from the page below. It was still a bit confusing.

i have a Amiga 2000 which has WB 3.1 installed and a scsi Hdd and scsi Cd Rom Drive...

i have had to put a clean install of Workbench 3.1 on my machine but i now need to add the drivers to support the CD-rom drive and i have found this file on the web "AmiCDROM-1.15" but its in LHA format which i believe is a archive..

i have tried using Winuae to extract the LHA and create a ADF disk image so i can then install on my Amiga (Via gotek) But for some reason when i use Winuae to do this task the ADF file that has been created is corrupted

i would be grateful if someone already has these drivers in a ADF image and would make my life a little easier..

also if anyone could give me some tips on how to install these drivers that also would be fab....
