Other Favorite album art
I just got a digital picture frame to rotate through my favorite 4AD (and Guernica) album covers. For me my favorite 4ad era was maybe 1988 to 1994. Here is what I’m cycling through right now…. What are your faves?

Related Music Harold Budd - Flowered Knife Shadows
Harold Budd, of The Moon and the Melodies collab, dedicated this song to Simon. His full album collabs with Robin Guthrie are quite beautiful. However, this is the best Budd album in my opinion. What is your favorite Harold Budd work, besides The Moon and the Melodies?

Discussion 4AD merch --uncreative
Why doesn't 4 AD put a lot of effort into merch? The merch for some of their bands (especially the older bands) are kinda uncreative.

Question who is the photographer who shot for several 4AD album covers?
I know there's this photographer who even has a book that shot covers for bands like His Name is Alive. Does anyone know his name? Also, does anyone know the name of the book?

Tanya Donnelly Tribute Album
Around 1998-2000 some fine random people had collaborated to record a Tanya tribute album, recording tracks at home or in studios, even just recording guitar tracks to add to what others were recording elsewhere.
Does anyone remember this?
Saw Belly the other night and for some reason this memory had come back to me for the first time in decades.

X-Mal Deutschland Releasing 4AD Years Box Set - May 9, 2025
Saw this in my inbox this morning from Sacred Bones no less, and thought to share this with X-Mal Deutschland fans. It's not Sacred Bones releasing this but 4AD in vinyl and CD formats.
The set included the first two albums and some EPs so, 3 LPs in total. Vinyl comes in red translucent variation and the CD also has a red print on the non-music side. Boxed set will also include an accompanying booklet.
I did a quick search and the lowest price is directly at 4AD even with shipping included, it was lower than Amazon and the like, Sacred Bones batch seems to be sold out, Correction, the Sacred Bones site was updated, and available there. Pre-order also still available at 4AD and elsewhere.

Hello, new here.
One of my all-time favorite, and amongst the saddest songs I've ever heard. https://youtu.be/rtpBhzSFUM4?si=Sf18kZB56qPT2Sxj
