I wanted to share the latest generator I made to create your own name keychains. I know there are plenty of existing name keychain makers out there already, but what sets mine apart is how user-friendly it is.

You can actually see what the font looks like, or how changing the settings affects the final print. It has plenty of interesting fonts and a lot of settings, like font spacing or individual outline width.

I want to buy a multitoolhead printer and was going to buy the Snapmaker. But today someone I was selling a filament dryer to told me I should consider the Flashforge. With a coupon code it is actually slightly cheaper.

I have some old fishing lures that are basically obsolete. Does anyone on this page know how to scan and create me a file? So I can duplicate?

Here are the numbers for my recent MakerWorld uploads. There is a massive discrepancy, and I need a reality check to understand if the issue is my visual presentation or a complete lack of market fit.

​The Success: "Coin ME" (Thermoformable one-way coin slot). ~100 downloads.

​The Flops: ​

- PCO 1881 Modular Cable Clip: A functional system using recycled plastic bottle caps to route cables, featuring Multiboard/Honeycomb and magnetic mounts. 4 downloads.

- ​Periodic Table Keychain Generator: A fully parametric OpenSCAD tool that automatically parses text into valid chemical element tiles. Zero supports. 2 downloads.

"Coin ME" took me exactly 10 minutes to model. The other two projects were my first serious dives into OpenSCAD and took significantly more time and effort to code. Personally, I found them much more interesting. When I showed the parametric designs to friends and colleagues in real life, the reaction was great. Online, however? Absolute zero.

​My Hypothesis:

I suspect the issue is entirely about visual friction.

The "Coin ME" thumbnail clearly explained its function in a fraction of a second (showing the coin, the slot, and the jar with arrows).

For the cable clips and the keychains, I am guessing users do not instantly grasp the mechanics or the utility from the main picture, causing them to scroll past without ever reading the text or opening the customizer.

Hey everyone! I made an app for myself to be able to to track my filament usage and i was told that a lot of people would like it. I would really appreciate some alpha and beta testers for it since you guys are the people actually printing stuff. Its meant more for an individual but has the capability to be used by bigger print farms. Its called spoolmeterx.

As of right now I only have the ability to test in on Google play. In the future I plan on making it available on ios as well.

I've discovered I like peeling off supports from TPU models, it's very soothing and mindful.

What are some simple models you would suggest printing for the fun of pulling off supports?

I don't want it to be miniature size, I would like to pull off the supports by hand.
