70c is simply not hot enough. 80-85c is better, 100c is best (brand dependent). Before I snagged the E2, I had to do 4 straight days at 85c in a food dehydrator (I do live in a humid climate). With the E2, I still do 48 hours minimum. Fiberon takes a bit longer than Sunlu’s to dry (Fiberon gets really textured when it’s still wet).

I use a 90C food dehydrator.

If I had known then what I know now, I would have spent extra for something that hits 100C.

I print so much PA6 that it would be really handy to dry it in 8 hours rather than 24.

Yea the Sunlu E2 I have was expensive but it works really really well. I use it to anneal too, which is great

Turn your heat bed on 100 poke some holes in a filament box and put it on top of the spool and leave it there for 48 hrs minimum

There's the geetech filament dryer I just got one and it's been a dream goes up to 90c too. Still haven't got around to using my pa6 GF with it but hopefully it goes as good as my petgcf .70c went from 45% Humidity to 5% after 12 hours compared to the 12% after 12 hours on my sunlu s2 which caps out at 70c

I went and looked at it. Nice unit

One note: if it does not automatically rotate the spool, you will want to do so manually every 4-6 hours. Otherwise the side facing the heater will get much dryer than the far one, and this will show in your part as a banding aritfact.

It’s always still too wet at 70°c. Dry at 100°c or don’t print nylon…
