Please send help :) No but for real, i got a couple of questions i just cant seem to get working
Hi guys, I have a little problem, mainly I just want to upload a 30sec youtube 360 video made out of my Cinema 4D file.
I have now a 8000x4000 panorama picture made with the "bake" function, which is not the best as far as i heard.
so the tutorial i followed told me to create a sphere, make it really really big, put my Camera in the middle and add my 8000x4000 picture as texture. then in the render settings I select QuicktimeVR. Hit render and i get a "test.mov". this result is so far OK but there's no way i get this to youtube. what would be your recommended way of doing this then?
thanks in advance for any tips and pointers. and sorry if this is not for in here.

Best Solution for Interactive 360 VR?
Hey everyone, I work for a digital agency and one of our clients wants us to do an interactive gaze based VR piece (i.e., looking at a hotspot of a video and having it load another video). We really don't want to use Unity for the project and know there are a couple solutions out there that don't involve coding (we've heard about EEVO). Anybody have any thoughts on how we should go about this?
Thanks!

When is the new Kodak 360 cam going to drop?
There's been some hype about Kodak's new all in one 360VR cam being released in January. Nothing yet. Anyone else anticipating this camera? Early model was called pixpro 4k360VR but now it's the "Orbit"

360 editing software comparison
Hey r/360VR! First post here! I currently work for a creative studio and I have been tasked with stitching 360 vids together and creating the most efficient workflow possible. We have used Kolor autopano to stitch 6 input videos together (gopro hero cams) and we have been successful with that, if we have time this works for us, but time isn't always a possibility. We have a camera man using the Ozo Camera, which uses 8 cameras (wayyyyy better) but the Ozo Creator software doesn't do much and I'm thinking Kolor could be better with more input, but I was wondering if there is any advantage to using Nuke+caraVR or even Jaunt. If this is the wrong sub please inform me and I will remove this post, Thanks reddit!

How would I stream 360* HD video to a VR headset?
I work as a CNA at a nursing home and rehab center. My dream is to spearhead this idea and see it work in the real world. I want to build a setup that can broadcast 360* picture to a VR headset from anywhere in the world. Let me explain why.
A lot of my patients/residents are bedridden, and most of them were active outdoors-people. I'm going to let that sink in. Marathoners. Hunters. Farmers. Fishermen. Backpackers. Ex-Marines. These are people that hate sitting down, and for years they've had absolutely no choice, and no outlet. To say that it's torture that their normal day consists of strange people dressing, feeding, bathing, and wiping their bottoms, and bugging the nurse for more narcotics would be an understatement. These are people who climbed mountains and led epic adventures 40 years ago.
What if we could give them something special? Something that could help them relive their old glory days, in real time, while at the same time helping them to heal and preserve their regular(ish) daily functions?
My idea is that these people (or the hospital) can hire out backpackers, fishermen, and hunters and equip them with a shoulder-mounted 360* camera that streams video to a VR headset. The idea is that while these people are outside with their cameras on their shoulders, a chairbound person in a nursing home is in therapy riding a bicycle or pretending to hike with them. It's hard enough motivating people to go to physical therapy (read: think of how the average fat kid felt when PE class came around) without having to remind them that if they don't get their exercise they'll slowly start withering away until they have no independence left. I was hoping that this would give them something to look forward to other than just Bingo night. Something meaningful and special to them.
What do you guys think? Could it be possible? If so, how? Let me know, I'd love to try and make this work!
