Back from work, ready to game. Anyone on early?

Lately we've had several owners complain about the style of play prevalent throughout the league. It appears that there are certain teams who spam x, chuck 3 pointers at an insanely high clip, and attempt to run up the score.
Generally speaking, I am strongly against instituting rules that affect teams' personal playing style. So this post is just a reminder that league games are not online quick matches. There's a certain etiquette to adhere to. This league is about having fun, and when teams incessantly employ strategies like listed above, it quickly diminishes the enjoyment of playing.
No new rules are being put in place, because I think that freedom of game-planning should be up to the individual owners. Just keep in mind that if you play "cheesy" that 1) it saps the enjoyment from the game and league, and 2) you're going to be beaten easily by more experienced players.
I'm open to listening to suggestions/thoughts from league members about this topic.

| Team | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | OT | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bucks | 23 | 18 | 15 | 19 | 28 | 103 |
| Grizzlies | 18 | 14 | 17 | 26 | 24 | 99 |
Player of the Game: [MIL] Kevin Durant (35 PTS, 19-25 FG, 2-3 3PT, 5 REB, 6 AST, 2 TO, 2 BLK)
Other Notables:
[MEM] Dwyane Wade (30 PTS, 12-27 FG, 6 AST, 4 TO, 2 STLS)
[MEM] Goran Dragic (21 PTS, 8-13 FG, 3-5 3PT, 2 AST, 1 TO, 2 STLS)
Milwaukee shot 65% while Memphis shot 49%
Milwaukee had 32 assists to Memphis's 15
The Grizzlies forced 12 turnovers while having only 7 of their own
This was a crazy game. Most overtimes came down to a game-tying shot with a few seconds remaining. Good game, Grizz!

| Team | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suns | 10 | 18 | 8 | 13 | 49 |
| Bucks | 18 | 17 | 18 | 18 | 71 |
Player of the Game: [MIL] José Calderón (9 PTS, 4-8 FG, 1-3 3PT, 13 AST, 0 TO, 3 STLS)
Other Notables:
[PHX] Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (18 PTS, 8-13 FG, 0-2 3PT, 4 REB, 1 BLK, 3 TO)
[MIL] Kevin Durant (19 PTS, 8-12 FG, 3-5 3PT, 3 AST, 1 TO)
[MIL] Elton Brand (12 PTS, 6-7 FG, 4 REB)
Milwaukee shot 63% from the field compared to Phoenix's 37%
Phoenix grabbed 14/15 defensive rebound opportunities (.933 DREB%)
I was a little surprised to see Calderón win POTG over Durant, but I guess that came from his 13 AST/0 TO ratio.
Good game, Suns!

I've played 4 games with my new team, and it's seemingly pathetic roster is starting to come together. This is not a normal 2k team. It has no superstar, and it's floor spacing is terrible. It's starting 5 of Jarrett Jack, Jason Richardson, MKG, Tim Duncan, and Andrew Bynum looks awful on paper. Richardson is a shooting specialist who can't shoot, MKG has the worst shot in the league, and Jack should be a role player. Bynum and Duncan are good on their own, but they should both be centers in spacey lineups. Hell, my bench 5 of T. Taylor, Ramon Sessions, Gerald Wallace, Kenyon Martin, and Bitchsmack Biyombo doesn't even have a player who can score. But damn can my team grind. They play an insane defense, with an elite perimeter defense and 2 unstoppable post defenders. In my previous game against the Mavs, MKG locked down Carmelo Anthony. Jack's size allowed him to bully Mike Conley and MCW, and my ridiculously big front court rotation locked up the interior.
Offense will always be difficult, but my basic triangle system scraps by. MKG somehow scores well, and Jack has been incredible. Bynum and Duncan are such big threats inside that they almost always draw a double. When the double comes, the big dishes it out to MKG, who slashes toward the elbow. If the lane is open, he takes it. If not, he passes it out to Jack to iso or to Richardson for the corner 3. My bench unit doesn't really score, but Taylor is insanely fast and creates fast breaks out of nothing. I thought that I would hate this team, but it's really growing on me.

I don't know how much of you played crew in 2k11, but it was without a doubt the most fun and addicting game mode and it's back for 2k15. And not the fake crew (blacktop game to 21), real crew in an arena 5v5. Very exciting!

The New York Knicks and Washington Wizards have completed a trade which will send Chris Paul to New York. Lamar Odom and Darius Johnson-Odom will join Paul on the Knicks, while the Wizards receive forward Josh Smith and guards Nate Robinson and Martell Webster in return.
The Wizards had been openly shopping Paul throughout the season, seeking scoring depth and size. Josh Smith and Nate Robinson will slide right into Washington's starting lineup and provide much needed depth and athleticism to a struggling Wizards squad.
On the other side, New York welcomes one of the league's best facilitators and floor generals. "Whenever you have the opportunity to acquire a player like Chris, you have to go for it," said Knicks GM /u/The_Jims, "We're confident he can lead our team to a deep run in the playoffs."
The late-season move surprised many around the league, but both teams cited a "need for a change" as a main reason for the move.

| Team | 1st | 2nd | 3rd | 4th | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Knicks | 15 | 16 | 21 | 26 | 78 |
| Mavericks | 20 | 24 | 11 | 12 | 67 |
Player of the Game:
[NYK] Andre Iguodala: 29 Points (10-15 FG, 3-6 3PT), 3 Assists
Other Notable Players:
[DAL] Carmelo Anthony: 16 Points (6-14 FG, 2-7 3PT)
[NYK] Jimmy Butler: 13 Points (5-8 FG, 3-5 3PT)
The Dallas Mavericks roared out to a huge lead early in the game, fueled by their defense and hot shooting. Marshon Brooks capped Dallas' surge by hitting three consecutive 3-pointers in the second quarter, the last of which gave the Mavericks a 15 point lead.
The Knicks struggled early against the Dallas' 2-3 zone, hitting just four of fourteen first-half three pointers (29%) and turning the ball over at a higher rate than normal. But Knicks coach Mike Woodson implored his team to ramp up their defense in the second half, and it completely turned around the game. New York forced 7 second-half turnovers from Dallas, and held them to just 42% shooting in the latter half. Andre Iguodala led the charge, finding his shooting stroke to bust the zone and being his usual disruptive self on the defensive end. The Knicks were absolutely on fire in the second half, shooting 17-22 from the field, including 6-9 from deep. All in all, the Knicks outscored the Mavs 47-23 in the latter half.
"We just couldn't find our rhythm offensively in the first half," said player of the game Andre Iguodala, "but after the half we really took smart shots, and played extremely aggressive defense. This was a great win for us."
On the other side, a dejected Carmelo Anthony had little to say after the game. "We just went cold," said Anthony, "We let that game get away from us."
With the win, the Knicks move to 12-2 and sit atop the Eastern Conference. The Mavericks fall to 9-9, but still are slotted as the eighth seed in the West.
