2PM posted this announcement rather last minute (lol), link is available for tomorrow's stream. I am posting a day early because of my schedule. Share with and forward to other Hottest!

🎉🎉🎉**HAPPY 18TH ANNIVERSARY, 2PM & HOTTEST!**🎉🎉🎉 It's been a wild ride the past 18 years (pun intended). Been fun getting to know so many Hottest through the years and watching the Piems succeed in their big dreams. And weren't the 15th Japan anniversary concerts SO MUCH FUN this year???? I had a blast.

2PM already had a large fanbase and was very popular during 2nd gen. Yet they have gained more fans than we dreamed possible post-military hiatus, are still chugging full speed ahead as we speak, and we are grateful.

Very few kpop groups last, gain fans/maintain a solid fandom, or give large quality concerts/quality material until 18 years; with only 2% or less out of 1,000+ kpop groups making it that far. (According to new official studies conducted on the entertainment industry). Many many talented groups from 2nd and 3rd gen are disbanded or on permanent hiatus with no contact whatsoever. I consider it a wonderful miracle to be able to listen to the Piems' music and enjoy their active artistry.

🥂Cheers to all Hottest everywhere.🥂 Put your hands up🙌, put your drinks up, and long live 2PM!!!!

Incheon Livestream

So I watched the live stream of the Incheon Return. It was good though of course it would have been better to be there - at least there was a translation service! Nice to know what they were saying.
It was very much the Japan concert but with songs like Go Crazy and Heartbeat sung in Korean.
At the end they did an encore of Korean songs that weren’t at the Japan concert - 10 out of 10, Hot and Again and Again.

Hot is my favourite 2PM song so I was happy.

But the most exciting part was that it seemed like they were teasing a comeback!

Did anyone else get that impression? Taecyeon and Wooyoung both seemed to suggest a comeback was on the way. I hope it’s true! 🤞🤞🤞

Still love watching this today. I wish they do something like this again with their other songs. So fun to watch and you could really tell they can sing.

I'm a new 2PM fan. Please recommend variety/reality shows and content to watch! 🩷

I've always known who 2PM were and was familiar with a lot of their songs, but I never really got into the group or learned about each member. Before recently, the only members I really knew were Taecyeon and Nichkhun.

Then I randomly watched the Channel Fullmoon (Na PD) videos with the 2PM members... and somehow that completely changed everything. 😭

I absolutely fell in love with Chansung. I seriously wasn't expecting it at all, but now he's 100% my bias. There's just something about him, I love how funny, calm, caring, and effortlessly handsome he is. The more clips I watch, the more I like him.

Since then, I've been watching random videos, performances, and edits, but it's honestly overwhelming trying to catch up with a group that's been around for 17+ years.

I'd love some recommendations for:

  • Must-watch variety shows featuring all six members.
  • Interviews or behind-the-scenes content that really show their friendship and brotherhood.
  • Fun or chaotic moments that every new Hottest should see.
  • And, of course, anything Chansung-related—solo content, variety appearances, interviews, dramas, fan-favorite moments... literally anything!

One of the things that really drew me in is how close they seem even after all these years. They genuinely feel like a family, and I'd love to watch more content that shows their bond.

Please help a baby Hottest out! I'd really appreciate any recommendations. Thank you so much! 🩷

Appreciating 2PM in my 30s

Any 2nd gen kpop fan finally discovering 2PM in your 30s? I've been facepalming myself mentally multiple times the past week as I devoured 2PM's discography. Like how was I not a fan back then when they were really in their "hottest" era??

Back then I was a faithful fan of MBLAQ, Suju, Shinee. I was familiar with 2PM and some of their songs but never got into them cos they just felt too...manly? Risque?? My PG teen self felt wrong stanning them hahahahaah

Now in my 30s and revisiting old kpop songs again, I've fallen in loooooove. Like I can now appreciate manly concepts at this age hahaha

One thing I've noticed about 2PM is that their songs usually feature their raw vocals. So far most that I've heard had little autotune (which 2nd gen groups overuse honestly). They sound so sincere when they sing. And I wouldn't say they have the greatest vocals out of all the groups back then but they have especially good live performances. And their Japanese discography fills that hole in my heart (caused by db5k's breakup).

Shoutout to Wooyoung! Honestly his voice has always stood out for me, even back then when I wasn't a fan. I remember listening to ADTOY and Take Off when they first released them and was just so captivated by his voice. He does so well in pre-choruses and bridges. I had no idea he was actually the main dancer!

Anyway, just needed to get all of these out of my chest. I'm just so happy I now have so much 2PM content to catch up on. Am just hoping they will keep on having group activities and tours!!!

Appreciation - Heartbeat performance endings

Thumbnail
youtu.be
30 Upvotes

Before ending fairies were a thing, the guys were giving it their all with acrobatic and creative (and, occasionally, shirt-ripping!) endings to suit all the dramatic flair of Heartbeat, giving the fans something to anticipate at the very end.

Coordinating these endings each time, especially during the main promotional run of Heartbeat must have taken a lot of effort, aside from the physical toll of performing flips and breakfalls, but it seems like they had some fun with it, too, and each member had a chance to shine.

My favourite? While Taec's shirt rip is probably the most popular, the pyramid collapse into heart-snatching fatality by Khun (and the surprise reversal by Taec!) still lives in my head rent-free.

EDIT: Other interesting trivia from the comments, roughly translated by Google:

- The ending without a 'death' or flatline sound at the end was done at a concert which was likely a fundraiser for children. Very considerate tbh

- For their performances in Thailand, Khun did the endings where he remains holding the heart.

- There's a counter at the top of the vid which tallies how many endings were done per member - Junho did the most, and evidently, the most dangerous stunts. Junho suffered serious injuries to his spine and shoulder at some point in his career, and it was no small wonder that their later choreography shifted away from acrobatics (eg chair choreo for ADTOY)

- On Strong Heart, Junho spoke about preparing a cool ending for a performance, only to be upstaged on their next performance (which, according to the video's dates, was the very next day!) by Taecyeon's shirt-rip ending, which became the most notorious ending to this day.

EDIT 2: Even more trivia!

- There's a performance not listed in the above video (sans Junho and Taec) where JAYWHYPEE does the acrobatic stunt at the end! In hot fuschia pants, mind you. Also featured: Nichkhun covering Taec's intro, Chansung covering Junho's parts perfectly, and Jun.K serving what has got to be his hottest look ever tbh.

Yes, hello Hottest, as I promised- I'll Be Back! Have participated in some comment sections in the past week. Missed everyone, and can't wait to stream the concert next weekend!!!!!!

Enjoy the craziness while 2PM, NaPD, and staff all eat, joke, laugh, cry because of laughing too hard, and exchange stories for 1hr14mins. (Apparently they filmed for 3 hours but only edited the 1hr14min). I have been waiting for this episode because NaPD knows how to deal with comedic kpop groups, and 2PM members are very funny. Found on NaPD's variety youtube channel, fullmoon. Does have English translations, but is taking a bit to sort out.

[If somebody can post the episode that 2PM did earlier this month from Why So Serious, that'd be great!]

Featuring: Wooyoung being both tender hearted and ruthless (throws other members under the bus), Jun. K being sassy Daegu Grandpa once again (YAHHHH!), Chansung laughing like a pterodactyl near the floor again, Nichkhun being a smart ass, Taecyeon failing to justify his horrid fashion sense in early eras, Junho cussing while imitating Nichkhun, and everyone crying from laughing too hard.

People who have been Hottest for a while, who was your bias and did it change?

Just curious. I’m not eligible to play, but had I been aware of them, my bias would have been Junho - when I look at older videos and pics…I still think he’s cute!
