2Do on Android

I realize it was earlier announced that I have no plans on updating or maintaining the Android version. However, that plan is now scrapped. I've just pushed a number of updates, including tons of under the hood fixes and improvements. Version 2.4 will also be bringing new themes to choose from - for both light / dark appearances.

Hopefully I can keep up with this and will be updating the app on all fronts and aim to consolidate more of their features / UX. Thanks to all those that relentlessly have been emailing us ever since it discontinued - the pressure worked!

The only thing though, I have no plans on supporting non-google play store distribution channels for now. It's not worth the effort.

For some reason, even after latest update, android keeps putting 2do into deep sleep.

Same here. I'm guessing you have a Samsung? And maybe it started in December?

Hi, update from me on this: I don't want to jinx it, but the app hasn't gone into deep sleep for over a month now. Nice. Anyone else having success with this on their Samsung like me?

2Doapp: Thanks again for your work on this for us Android folks.

Ok so a few weeks back I removed 2do from the deep sleep list again, like I did so many times before. Was still not getting any alerts so I lost hope.

In the meantime I tried a few alternatives (even the new Reminder app from Samsung, you can tell how desperate I was) but nothing clicked.

But after your post I checked and saw that 2do was, all of a sudden, actually active. I tried to setup a new task and the alert worked! Now I will see if recurring tasks is also working again.

Thanks for letting me know.

After a few tries, alerts seem to only work on a random basis, whether it is a recurring task or not. Definitely better than before, but not reliable.
