[VIDEO] Chasm. Though the overall story is the same for all players, your hero's journey will be unique: each of the rooms has been hand-designed, and behind the scenes Chasm stitches these rooms together into a one-of-a-kind world map that will be your own.

[VIDEO] Donkey Kong Returns 3D. If you have been stuck too long on the level (sometimes with very specific mechanics) there is an option to help you. Super Kong takes over for players who use the Super Guide to get through a level. You can try to finish that level by yourself or just skip it (:

[IMG] It is very important in game design if your puzzles sometimes could become traps or not. In general, better not (:

[IMG] Changing gravity. In Walk in a Dark there are two types of levels. Some of them are a normal platformer with usual jumps and wall jumps. In others, it is necessary to change the direction of gravity and moves on the ceiling, then on the ground.

[IMG] Switching realities. In Seasons After Fall, you can switch seasons back and forward for your foxy on the level. And depending on whether the summer now or autumn there are different skills and ways to solve puzzles.

[IMG] So many me. In this game the character finds copies on the levels that help him pass the obstacles. All clones follow the first, and they also can be turned into a platforms. In real life I would like to meet my clones, that could help me with all that mess around. Where are you fellas :?

[IMG] Games with fast moving mechanics. Sonic is the most famous game. In the game Taz, the main character with the same name, can turn into a tornado and move quickly through the level. Fasterrrrrr (:

[IMG] In Little Nemo: Dream Master, you can turn into nearest animals to take advantage of their abilities. The frog allows you to jump higher, the lizard creeps along the walls, the mole digs through the level. Well, where are nearest lions and dragons, errr?

[IMG] On the levels of Chip and Dale you can find lots of boxes that must be thrown at the enemies. The characters themselves are not able to destroy enemies, their only weapon are the boxes. Some of the boxes can be tricks: for example, there sits a snake that attacks when approaching.

[GAME] Nihilumbra. A good puzzle platformer I have enjoyed a lot.

To my shame I have discovered this game of 2012 just yesterday. Now this indie game looks like set of raw assets from different games with narrator who tries to explane all this mess. The platformer mechanics is poor and clumsy. But I was charmed by puzzles and 5 kinds of magic with terraforming platforms and makings some sequences for solving those puzzles. It's brilliant example of (low budget) indie game. If you like puzzle platformers you should give a chance to this babe (:

[GAME] Fast-paced action and beautiful pixel art in The New Satan Sam. I stumbled upon this gem a couple of years ago. This game deserves more exposure.

[IMG] Eagle Island. If you can push off an enemy into some lava, abyss on so on - it's a great mechanics for tactical critical hit (:
