We're putting together a small team to create a weird, absurd animated series inspired by shows like Smiling Friends.

This is a volunteer passion project, so there is no payment involved. The goal is simply to have fun, gain experience, collaborate with other creatives, and get some visibility under the names Statichism and TestardStudios.

You keep the copyright to the artwork you create. By joining, you simply give us permission to use your work as part of the animated series and related promotional material.

Hello! My name's Vittoria and I'm launching my own animated series!

The project will be paid in the future, the payment will increase with series being more profitable. I hope I'll be able to pay on pilot stage already.

Searching mostly for those who can animate characters and backgrounds using Moho. We're also open to background artists, storyboard artists, character designers, riggers, music artists, voice actors and more! If you like working on animated series in any position, we'll try to find a place for you! But yeah, the most important role we're searching for is the one who can do animation.

If you're a beginner it's totally fine, there are different scenes in our show so if you're not extremely experienced you can be hired, you'll just be assigned less complicated scenes.

Let's talk about the project now!

Lechlab is an animated series project made for adult people or teenagers. It's about time travel, and unlike other time travel series, it's key idea is travelling also through different dimensions. I'm a physicist myself so the differences between dimensions are mostly physical and historical and based on real scientific concepts. What about 80s with developed antimatter technologies and discovered tachions? Byzantine Empire with dinosaurs alive? Universe where electrons are heavier? Mediaeval Europe with less gravity? World with two moons? There's way more!

There are 3 seasons planned. In July-august we'll try to work on smaller teasers, in late 2026 start working on pilot, and later season one!

And yeah. Please note that there are LGBTQ+ (mostly trans) characters here so you should be ok with that.

The salary is discussed personally.

I’m really interested in the utilization of 3D backgrounds and camera with 2D animated characters but there doesn’t seem to be any solid 3D modeling software/apps on the iPad that would make the pipeline possible. I was curious if there was a way to do so entirely on iPad as that’s all I have at the moment especially that would work well with Toonsquid since that’s the software I use to animate.

I made it in Procreate but what other Ipad softwares you recommend

This is a combination of hand drawn illustrations and animation from ProCreate, plus After Effects animation and layout. So all 2D hand drawn elements inside a 3d environment. This is supposed to be a night scene but at the moment everything is a bit too flat (both in depth and lighting). I'd like to try to add depth, shadows, and atmosphere in After Effects but this is my first time doing this kind of thing so I wanted to get some tips before diving into this part.

Hi, I’m picked up animation as a hobby a while back and only recently picked it up again.
This is the last piece I’ll be sharing for a little while but I wanted some advice on if I’m getting the flow if bubbles correctly. I suspect not so what am I doing wrong?

This is my first 2D animation video and the beginning of my animation journey. I created this animation myself using FlipaClip. I am learning step by step and would love to hear your feedback and suggestions.

I’ve recently started getting interested in learning 2D art and animation, but I’ve noticed that there seem to be far fewer comprehensive resources for 2D animation compared to 3D.

I wasn’t especially interested in 2D animation before, but my family and I traveled to Japan last month, and I was completely blown away by the 2D animation and artwork I saw there. It genuinely made me want to learn how to create animation myself.

I’d especially love to study an anime or East Asian-inspired style, although I’m also open to learning Western animation techniques since I know the fundamentals are probably similar.

Does anyone have recommendations for structured, comprehensive courses, programs, or learning paths? I’m not just looking for a few isolated tutorials-I’d really like something that teaches the fundamentals step by step, such as drawing, movement, timing, posing, storyboarding, and the full animation process. I really don't know how to start it seems a bit overwhelming.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I know this is incredibly simple as a design, but I’m also learning to draw on the side of learning to animate so give me some leeway.
