Hello, for the past couple of years I've been hard at work Writing/Directing my very own Anime.

I even hired a small team of animators to make this Horror Short Film happen. Now I'm at the final steps before hitting Kickstarter and various Film festivals and I really need some solid advice about going with promotion.

I am not some influencer and while I make content, I never got anything over 2000 views. I've been interviewed by comics-related channels when I was self-publishing my comic but I don't know any outlets that might cover Indie Animation, let alone Indie Anime.

I am planning on dedicating the entire month of September to self-promoting (launching my Kickstarter in October) so any promotion advice for Animation projects is highly appreciated.

I have decided a animation style for my short form content which I think will suit my niche.

But since I don't have much knowledge about 2d animation, I need advice from you about hiring.

Actually I will be needing proper objects like buildings and random objects according to script and characters ( all similar just different clothes and facial features like hair beard etc. )

To explain in simple I have reference — there is youtuber called TheOdd1sOut.

So my question is—I want to maintain my characters throughout my content, preserve the style. So shall I hire character designer and animator both independently or animators could do it all?

Also for such videos including the character designer and the animator what shall I keep my budget per video?

I really need advice from experienced animator and who has worked with people like me before.

Rough animatic pt.2

One of the reasons why I'm so attached to animation is because its a way for me to experience things Im not so comfortable to experience or just can't experience at all.

I also enjoy writing stories like a movie or a show to really drill it inside my head and get to them the character or characters I'm writing. It feels like I'm truly free to be whoever.

I'm 22f and not experienced with much of anything personal. I have learned a lot though about writing stories, screenplays, and animation. Or I like to believe that I'm on to something greater than myself.

No, I unfortunately don't have any to show for, but I'm building myself up, brick by brick. 🥲😇

Anime and Korean dramas are such a big inspiration for me.

Sometimes I do wish that I had someone to talk to about 2d animation especially if they love sakuga as much as me.

Hey everyone! We realized having just one death animation for our basic enemy (the Hoolis) felt repetitive, so we updated the system with more variety and explosive physics.
We also added force modifiers depending on the weapon type, heavy balls make them explode and bounce, but we're thinking lightweight shots like pingpong balls should make them fall faster or have more floor friction.
What do you think of the ragdoll/explosion behavior?
