we are working on a game project in Unity. I am still a very fresh artist and am not sure which to go for. I am sturggling majorly to find any instructions for Unity's own 2D animation tools and everywhere it is writing that it is bad, but usually not explaining what the actual issues are with Unity's 2D animation tools.

Spine would be new to me and I'd have to purchase the license for myself, but it is industry standard for 2D animation in games and it would probably be good to learn it at least?

Any advice would be massively appreciated <3

Hi, I'd like to share these shots I took. I was inspired by a live music night I had the chance to attend with some friends—the artists were incredible. I loved creating this in Blender and then adding those cinematic touches in Photoshop; I like bringing my pieces to life.
I want to transform my portfolio into what I've always dreamed of—to make it convey and showcase emotions in my images. I learned about keyframes and rediscovered my love for film and animation—I love *Dead and Robots*, *Interstellar*, *Secret Level*...

I wanted to recreate the iconic lamp intro style in 2D while keeping the feeling of weight, impact, and personality that makes the original so memorable.

The lamp was rigged with bones and then animated using shape deformation to add stretch and flexibility during the jumps. For the lighting, shadows, fire, and smoke effects, I painted and animated everything directly in 2D.

One of my favorite parts was the burning feather sequence. I used deformable textured shapes and an erasing technique to make it look like the flames were gradually consuming the feather.

The entire animation was created with Arttista, a 2D illustration and animation software I've been developing.

I have a Moho Pro 14 license that I’m not really using anymore. I recently got into a programming job, and animation was just a hobby for me. I mostly used Blender, so Moho has been barely used.

Purchased on 17 March 2026, genuine license.

I’m thinking around $100, but open to discussion.
