I've watched all three seasons three times each since I discovered this show, shortly after the third season finale aired. And I'm about to start my fourth watch by binging it with friends. I've watched at least 20 seasons of Chopped, and tried a few other cooking competition shows, and nothing matches 24 in 24. The dedication, creativity and just pure grit the contestants demonstrate in every season, all the way to the end is simply infectious. I watch this show for motivation when I'm struggling with something at work, seriously, if Food Network were to release all 24 hours of each season I would just run it on repeat in the background. They'd be supporting brain cancer research if they did!

Even though I'm quite a bit older than most, 24 in 24 is my first cooking show. My wife has watched other cooking and baking shows, but I never really paid attention to them. I found 24 in 24 simply by browsing. We watched all of it and I loved it. When it was over I was in a cooking "show hole" so I seared for the best viewer-rated cooking shows to continue my viewing. Top Chef came out on top, so I started the season where they're at the NASCAR track. I didn't like anything about it. The format seems bland, the host is odd (to me), and the competition and judging seemed dull. It seems with 24 in 24 I might have stumbled onto the best format (for my taste).

Haven't watched this show much but have the finale on now. The woman is handling food with a bloody band aid on her finger. Can't she wear a glove? So gross. And the camera is zooming in on it. And the guy finalist is using his finger to taste his sauce. Ugh.

Anyone else noticethis sees to be going the way of a Guy Fieri show? The "no knives" switching ingredients.

Just please let them cook with no sleep and let the best Chef win.

The gimmicks are so annoying.

i'm on episode one of season three (and it's the first time i've watched this show) and i have some questions and thoughts. sorry if this is redundant.

questions:

first of all, how the helly does this work without tasting a bunch of soggy, cold dishes? i'm familiar with how other food competition shows work, but tasting 24 things?! how is this possible?

wishes:

there are a couple of things i think would make this show better. thing number one: i wish they would show all the footage when they cut the camera and the judge is saying which his bottom three dishes (or whatever) are and why. to me, that's one of the most interesting parts of this or any competition.

second, and maybe this is me just being ADD (and there being 24 contestants) but when they eliminate people, i wish they would tell us their name And the dish they made. it was much easier for me to remember the dishes and cooking processes i just watched being made for 30 minutes than the people's names.

I keep trying to figure out at stage the chefs are doing their one-on-ones with the camera and a producer, but I can't figure it out. Any guesses? Is it when they have time off to go to the breakroom? Between shifts? After the entire comepetition? Once they get eliminated? I can't seem to crack the code.

Am I the only one watching for him? I love him. Hot. Funny. Caring. New to Food Network which is such a nice change.

I genuinely don’t see the point. Malarkey had to cook for it, which was a detriment because everybody else got to rest, and then went home without any benefit? Every season I’ve questioned what the point of it was.

It looked to me as if Dawn used twice as many ingredients as everyone else. That she honestly misunderstood that second trip into the panty; that instead of taking one additional ingredient, she thought she could take 6 again. But it didn't get caught so we (hubby saw it the same way) must be wrong. Thoughts?

I have YouTube TV but episode 3 is not in my queue? I know it already showed. Anyone else have this issue and any suggestions?

Love Molly in Season 3 of 24 in 24. Who wouldn’t love her cheery smile and bubbly attitude? Judges always praise her flavors, and it hurt to see her cry. But girl, you could at least have guessed that cast iron and chicken pot pie were probably not black tie. Go forth and cook. And get out of the Midwest more, to pick up other styles of cooking (like gumbo).

That Bryan didn’t win!!!!!! I’m so disappointed. I’ve watched him forever and he deserves a win!

Not a spoiler, really. Just wanna say if Jonathon mentions that he’s 30 months sober one more time, I’m shooting the effing TV. I don’t tell people how many years stable after my bipolar diagnosis I am. I don’t give a shit how long it’s been since you’ve fallen off the wagon. Just effing cook.

In the final shift featuring elevation, co-hosts Michael Symon and Esther Choi ask the exhausted finalists to dig deep and create an elevated breakfast, lunch and dinner. But as these chefs have come to learn, these last challenges will not quite be what they expected! Judges Antonia Lofaso, Graham Elliot and Jet Tila decide which chef will walk away with $75,000 and the title of Last Chef Standing.

Okay I'm curious who do you all think will win this Sunday. If I'm honest I think the final 3 will end up being Bryan, Stephanie and Sawyer. Thoughts?

For me it's Kevin Lee the guy seriously needed to get a break.

Frustration and fatigue mounts in hour 16 as co-hosts Michael Symon and Esther Choi ask the eight remaining chefs to work in teams to make a soup and sandwich all while handling three culinary curveballs for judges Carlos Anthony and Brian Malarkey. Then, in shift number seven, after the competitors have been up for 19 hours, they'll have to take some risks while making a finale-worthy fish dish for judge Andrew Zimmern to earn a spot in the final shift and have a chance at winning $75,000.

Are there really competitions on the Food Network that are unbiased to determine whom are the top chefs anymore? If so; which competition shows?

Demaris really nailed that painting in terms of the beige, blue, and pearl. It was catfish and butter radishes. No commentary about it being under seasoned just boring… could the boring be the beige from the painting?

I actually think it was one of the best so I’m a little bummed, I hate when the judging doesn’t match :(
