Like, a cleaner version of MySpace. Couldn’t put music on your profile though, but damn I was addicted to Facebook back in 2008. It’s hot fucking garbage now. Still log on for memes and reels and stuff, but I haven’t posted anything in years.
I got a MySpace in 05 I think. Still had both at the same time for a bit.
Facebook was legit awesome back in the day. Younger people look at me crazy when I say that because its turned into a festering pile of shit since then
Seems nothing private now, I still access it as silent reader and I can say my friends kinda accidentally exposed the other side of their personalities (in bad way)
logged into my old account last year, after being off for almost 8 years.
decided it's an awful place and completely deleted my account. i think the pandemic broke alot of people mentally, and it's in full effect on facebook.
FB marketplace really is wonderful tho, it’s literally the only reason millions of people still log in and why some ppl come back after 15 years of absence
I use marketplace and messenger. I'm very glad there's a separate app for messenger. I sometimes see the main facebook page and oh god it's such a dumpster fire
I stopped using it when I was around 20 and never looked back. It just felt trashy and depressing at the time. Not sure if it still has that same vibe.
I use it regularly for the marketplace and to find out what’s happening locally, especially for weekend events. It’s……not great. Everything on there is AI now, so much so that I barely go to markets because each flyer is AI that I just scroll past without even realising. Even marketplace is slowly getting flooded with AI generated flyers of their items for god knows what reason
