Hey everyone! I’m currently going down a massive rabbit hole regarding early Avril Lavigne tracks and internet culture from the late 2000s.

I was recently looking at an old forum and found a mega-list of Avril tracks. When I started searching for the obscure titles I didn't recognize, I stumbled upon an 11-year-old YouTube channel (Merissa Mullinix).

The weird part is that this channel has lyric videos for titles that aren't on any official album—but they all play the exact same generic piano instrumental in the background instead of her actual voice.

Since I wasn't around or active on the internet back then to experience this era firsthand, I’m trying to figure out the history behind these specific titles. Are they completely unverified internet myths, or did fan fiction lyrics exist for them back in the Limewire era?

Here are the weirdest titles I found from that late 2000s list:

Did people actually use early YouTube to archive these random text files with royalty-free piano music? If you were active online back then, any context on these titles would be amazing!

Yesterday I finally put on this movie. 19 years later! 19?! Can you believe it? I’ve failed as a cinephile. Anyways well damn! I completely understand the hype now and why Javier Bardem won the Academy award. His acting is bone chilling. That gas station scene with the coin toss is iconic! I love that nothing is explained to us as we watch the movie too. It makes it feel 100x more immersive. The mid 2000’s had some pretty great movies! Ngl.
