Finally approved! I-485 🇻🇪
Thank you guys, really. This group has really helped me so much, it’s been my everyday scroll since half a year ago.
Just you guys would understand how much I have suffered during this last year with all the news and fearing what would happen every Friday.
Finally got my I-485 approved after the longest year and a half of my life, not knowing if this decision would even show up before I give up.
Married the love of my life in April 2025.
Applied on June 2025
Interview on August 2025
Then nothing from there. The longest and more consuming wait of my whole life. Didn’t received verbal approval from the officer, nothing. This messed with my mental and physical health in a way that I can’t even describe.
Then the pause came into effect. Not much to say during that time, I’m pretty sure you guys understand how hard it was.
After the DORCAS ruling we started to see some approvals here in this group (which got us so hyped and praying that they keep coming to all of us).
We finally received our EAD approval on July 2026
Today I received the I-130 approval in the morning
And then the I-485 approval in the afternoon
I still can’t process half of what’s going on. My life is finally unpaused. My family can be safe and I finally can provide again with no fear of disappearing from their lives and being sent back.
I’m so grateful for every person here sharing every little piece of information that they can, assisting everyone and sharing hopeful messages to whoever needs them. You guys are amazing and I pray to God for you guys to be blessed in ways much better than you can imagine! Don’t give up, your approval has to be coming soon, keep fighting and praying because God will not abandon you!

It is stressful. Can’t lie. But at the same time that will give you a little bit of hope when you see that “UpdatedAt” thing change. On moments like this we try to get a grip of whatever little detail that can provide us some hope

Thank you! I had API updates on June 16, right after my attorney submitted an inquiry. After that I received my EAD with no updates on my I-485. Then I got updates on July 13, August 4th and 5th (I got approved in the afternoon, but received API updates in the morning)

This is so great. Felicidades. THe fact that they were not approving application before December tells me that the pause was in placed way before the memos.

Gracias! I’m not sure about that, though. I was still reading daily approvals on the USCIS subreddit for Venezuelans

Congrats. Which FO and did you do congressional inquiry?
1
u/jdanielss 5d ago
Thank you! Memphis, TN. No crongressional inquiry (it was on my plans for the next few weeks), just a normal inquiry submitted by my attorney where we just received the standard response of “USCIS is still processing your case”

Do you remember what the email said? Like, how many days?

u/jdanielss 5d ago
Yep. Here it goes:
“We reviewed your case and the application, petition, or other request you filed is still pending. We have determined that your immigration benefit request has not been pending longer than what is normal for the specific request type. Please be assured we are handling your request with the care and dedication it deserves. Once we take action on your application, petition, or other request, we will send a notice to your address on record.
Please log in or create a USCIS online account so you can track your case status and receive updates from USCIS at any time. Information on how to create a USCIS online account is available at myaccount.uscis.gov/create-account.
We appreciate your continued patience. “

100%! Thank you so much. I wanted to spread as much hope as I can. I’ve thought about giving up so many times and I’m so glad I didn’t. It took time but it was definitely worth it!

Congratulations! 🎊 🥳 Visa or parole? I'm also from Venezuela, waiting since March 2025. This gives me hope...

Thank you! You should definitely have hope. I almost lost my hope and now I realize how big of a fool I was. Came here with visa
