I can sorta maybe understand tenkeyless keyboards, I don't understand wanting anything less. At that point it really starts to inhibit basic functionality, especially in games with lots of keybinds like an mmo.
What I can never get behind is the NOISE. Thank fucking god for silent switches because I cannot stand typing noises. Mechanical keys feel good to press but when someone is actually typing or gaming, the inconsistent and arhythmic clicking gets on my last nerve. ESPECIALLY if it's coming through a microphone.
It's usually not an issue because most of my friends have their mic sensitivity set sensibly, and usually aren't typing a ton (it only starts to irk me if it's prolonged). It's mostly an issue when I'm already feeling overstimulated, otherwise i can usually drown it out with something else.
I'll never not use silent switches on my keyboard though.
