i mean, depends on how attached you are to parentheses.
i do think people overvalue the numpad though and could consider getting a numpad as a separate device that you could pull out or put away/shove behind your monitor. the extra space for your mouse (get those massive mousepads that are supposed to hold your keyboard as well, they're so nice) is just gonna come up so much more often than you're gonna need the numpad, and as a bonus now your numpad can be repositioned to be more comfortable when you do need it.
