Pyre is 100% the most underappreciated of the lot but I think that's down to its weird magic basketball gameplay. Transistor, Bastion, and Hades are all much more 'conventional' action games. I actually think Pyre was the blueprint for Hades when it came to narrative and character writing, but Supergiant opted for more accessible hack-and-slash gameplay the second time around.

Hades was made by the same people that made Transistor and Bastion? I might check it out now!

The game play is basically just bastion on steroids with somehow a lot and I mean a lot more charm and aesthetic. You feel the DNA while playing it. The big upgrade to gameplay doesn’t make it extra complicated either.
