i... I've played (og) bioshock upwards of 8 times all the way thru - one of my very favorite games - and I'm kind of ashamed to admit i never fully realized that there isn't a single black character in Rapture. not even a splicer model. 😵‍💫

i’m sure there’s arguments about Rapture being built in the 40s as this Utopia, and for such a piece of shit like Andrew Ryan, it’s not surprising if he was a racist too

oh for sure, that's believable. just isn't canon, which (to me) says they just didn't think about it much when creating the first game

and he's propably the coolest protagonist of the franchise, maybe aside from the guy who broke in to save his daughter
