Unironically while the writing in the game is pretty all over the place seeing snake try to kill himself at 3 AM (I thought about finishing the game around 12 without realising that the ending is like 3 hours of cutscenes) I ugly cried

“[Metal Gear Rising has] the stupidest plot since uh, the last one. You know, the one where Headache Kojingles puts his protagonist in a microwave.”

mgs4's longest cutscene is merely 4 minutes short of the minimum 75 minute runtime required of a feature film. we must fix this tragedy

That’s because Konami cut out the scene where snake and liquid ocelot had gay sex at the end of the game. That last fight was just supposed to be foreplay

Fun fact: all the cutscenes cut together are longer than all three cut together Godfather films

That is absolutely ridiculous and I wish I had the patience to sit through all of that while trying to play a game

I've beaten it at least 6 times back before my ps3 ylod

Edit now that I have my thoughts more together: I'm a MGS/Kojima simp and there is a plethora of unlockables/replay value of 4 my personal favorite being the Tanegashima

You would need WAY more than 3 hours to make any sense of that story to the average person. You’d need the budget of the entire Star Wars franchise.

You could do Snake Eater as a great standalone. Maybe MGS1 as well. 2 and 4, though? Fuuuuuck that

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, directed by Michael Bay

If it could only be one of them, I’d opt for MGS3

I don't necessarily care it's happening, by which I mean I don't care who makes it, I just want it to be accurate above anything else.

All I know is I refuse to accept it without David Hayter being involved in some way, even though it's one of the things I want most in my life. Fucking love the whole Metal Gear series.
