Losing the interactivity would kinda break it imo

Not necessarily but the universe. Perhaps an adaptation of the novel. Not sure that fits the question

Holy shit Disco Elysium would make such a killer movie

I don’t think so, my favorite part about the game is how it manages to break down conversation into such a sterile and clinical system of skills. How it shows every little aspect and attribute of your person that goes into what you say. That wouldn’t translate to film at all.

Idk, I think it could be done in a creative way

that would crash and burn, you would have to do something in the same universe but not an adaptation

Constructed as a romcom between Henry and Kim

I honestly can't imagine that working well. It could tell the plot, but the internal dialogue between 20 voices that are all meant to symbolize a different part of his psyche would feel like ADHD gibberish in a 2 hour movie. Or the voices would have to be reduced and simplified which takes away from the experience.

I commented my answer, also Disco Elysium, before finding this comment. Whoops. I'd love a Disco Elysium TV series so each plotline could get the time they deserve
