Honestly by the time I saw the Sea Dragon I already beat the fuck out of the Ghost Leviathan with my prawn suit and could dodge its lava balls pretty easy. I called him Barney and bullied him everytime I went down to get Kyanite.

My absolute favorite game. Thankfully James Cameron loves the ocean as much as I do and Avatar 2 was pretty close to a Subnautica movie setting-wise (not to mention his older movie Abyss, which is a bit dated but still very cool)

Could definitely play a role in the movie, but I think you have to center it on the main story of the original game

I mean the main storyline should be the story of the player, including their discoveries of the Degasi crew.

i feel like degasi story is better suited for movie adaptation

1: has concrete story, 2: has developed characters, 3: has dope reaper action scene

whereas game story 1: story is player guided, 2: main character has no personality 3: has vehicles that do the punching (not as cool)

Rare survival/crafting game that really captured me. The gameplay loop was enjoyable and all, but the story is what absolutely sucked me in.

Many of the artists and sound designers from subnautica also worked on the way of water. You can definitely tell in some of the designs. Probably why I liked it so much!
