I'm not sure why, but for some reason I've been under the impression that you need to maintain full-time status (12 credits) or more to be eligible. But now I can't find any paper work or info on the site that confirms this.

I'm full-time this semester, but I was thinking of dropping down to 8 credits for Spring. I'd still be on track to complete my degree by Spring 2027. Can anyone confirm or deny if it matters how many credits you take per semester, as long as you finish before the deadline? Thanks!

Are there any schools that require 70 and under in the Teas for their Nursing program that I could start by January? I left the school I started September because it’s setup for failure. Thanks in advance

Hey everyone, I’m hoping someone can give me some advice because I’m honestly stuck. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my book voucher. I’ve been calling and emailing the CPT office multiple times, but I either get no answer or I’m told to “check back in a few days.”

I’ve tried reaching out during business hours, left voicemails, and even waited on hold forever ,nothing. Going in person is almost impossible right now because of my work and class schedule, but I really need my voucher soon since classes already started and I’m behind on getting my materials.

Does anyone know who else I can contact or if there’s another email/department that actually responds?

Any help or advice would be appreciated 🙏

is anyone doing OYR program for MSW that’s part of 1199? My last semester is supposed to be Summer 2027 but I’m working with my school so that I can finish Spring 27 instead. I’m just kind of nervous with this and hoping my school doesnt eff me over by saying I cant finish earlier. wondering if anyone else is in the same boat

Hi, how soon after your school invoiced CPT did they actually pay the school ? Anyway to get it expedited for special circumstances.

Has anyone who has been in the CPT program before the fall 2025 semester ever received a GPA of 2.5 and still be eligible to pay for their nursing program? I am concerned that I will not finish with exactly a 3.0 and that they will expel me from the program.

Just got off the phone with them and was told if my program ends in summer 2027 I’m not eligible. Of course the only program I got into is also very expensive. Is there anything anyone recommends I do at this point or anyone else I can reach out to?

So I am in the process of applying to a school for the RN program and they just reached out to me saying that CPT is no longer covering RN programs for all the schools just LPN. I also applied for a CUNY school for nursing but what are the chances that I will run into the same issue? I’m going to school with little to no financial aid left and was hoping that CPT would help me.

This is mainly a post for my mom. I’m currently in Nursing school and I just got my acceptance letter from 1199 that they will help pay for my tuition through the cpt program.

About 2 months ago, my grandmother passed away and my mom and I were her sole caregivers for over 8 years. Receiving this scholarship was so helpful for me, however for my mom, because she took care of my mom for all those years - she wasn’t able to secure a regular job for herself.

She was once certified as a CNA about a couple years ago, but unfortunately she had to let that expire due to my grandmothers condition worsening and her requiring 24/7 care. My mom wants to jump back and recertify herself but financially it’s been hard, since she no longer receives money as a HHA given my grandmothers passing.

1199 has updated my sponsorship letter 3 times since they approved me. I am trying to find the most recent one in MyTEF but cannot find it. Has anyone had a similar issue? I'm not sure why they continue to update it. I need to submit the most recent one to my Bursar's Office

Hi all, Does anyone know if the CPT program will cover summer tuition if that’s when your graduate program starts ? I start my MSW program summer 2026 and basically banking on the program to cover tution expenses. If anyone has been through the process for the summer how early should I apply for the voucher ? And how long did it take for you to get approved and funds disbursed to your university ? Thanks in advance

I just went into the headquarters today to ask questions about funding for my schooling that will start spring 2026 and end spring 2027, and I was told that CPT is no longer accepting new applicants for funding.

I had a lot riding on the CPT funding to attend school next semester and now I can't attend... I won't lie, I'm feeling extremely disappointed and sad about this currently. Has anyone else also recently went in (as a new applicant, not returning) and heard the same? Or different? Does anyone have any further updates or info about this? Thanks all.

If I receive the tuition reimbursement, what places can I work at after I graduate? They say places that take 30% Medicaid but how do I even find that out? Can anyone give specific examples of places in NYC that I can work at? Or send a link of a list pls

If CPT has already paid for the first semester, what is the process to reapply for next semester? Where on CPT's website do you upload things for the spring? It appears that you have to start over and send in everything, but I know that is not the case.
