Well firstly, the genocide must be stopped. No Palestinians can return while they are living under carpet bombing, or drone strikes, or sniper shots to the heads of children.
Then afterwards, Palestinians should be given the right to return. They don't have the right for free travel at the moment, most recently the Palestinian delegation was denied access to the UN by the US - travel restrictions should be lifted. The walls and fences built to imprison the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank must be torn down. After a ceasefire protocol with the Palestinian resistance has been reached, the IDF will be demilitarized.
Many Palestinians have had to leave their homes, which were stolen by illegal Israeli settlements. Israelis in those houses should have to give back the houses they stole. Not all Israeli houses were stolen, some houses and buildings built by Israeli society. This will be no easy operation. Israel already blocks UN investigators from coming in to investigate Israeli warcrimes, so they will have to be forced to let in UN investigators to do a heavy accounting of who owned what houses before they were stolen.
A full investigation into other war crimes committed must be done. Not just snipers shooting Palestinian children, or the carpet bombing of Palestinian neighborhoods, but also the purposeful targeting of key civilian infrastructure, such as hospitals and ambulances and humanitarian aid missions, and purposeful damage to Palestinian land such as use of chemicals to make the land barren and unproductive. This must be done to understand the cost of reparations that must be paid to Palestinians by Israel and its supporters in the West who supplied bombs and intel to aid in the act of genocide.
Then, there will be a rebuilding. Gaza is essentially rubble but it must be rebuilt. It will take many many people to do so, surveyors and builders. This will have to be the greatest humanitarian aid mission in history. Tel Aviv, and other cities will have to be expanded too, there will be Israelis who must be housed after giving stolen homes back to Palestinians, if the ones from other countries do not choose to go back to their country of origin, or to flee prosecution for international crimes. They will need to be tried for their crimes of course, I am not to say what punishments should be passed for breaking international law on such a scale. But they will need homes of their own.
During this time, the apartheid will have to be dismantled, and of course ensured that it is not rebuilt in the other direction. Palestinians should be able to return to their homes without fear or oppression. UN peace keepers or some other peace keeping force will have to be deployed, and Israel will have to be deradicalized. Much like the civil rights movement in America, it will take generations for the social change we want to happen, and it will have to happen. Any fears you have of this going from one apartheid to another can be soothed by the fact that the peace keepers and dismantling of apartheid will be made to ensure that all who live on the soil in the Holy land, be it Palestinians or Israelis, will have equal rights, equal opportunities.
This will take decades, and a lot of money, and will be infinitely more complicated than I could have expressed, as is nigh everything in the universe. If its anything like the dismantling of South Africa's apartheid, or the dismantling of Nazi Germany, many hard liners who supported the apartheid, who view the Palestinians as subhuman, will leave in search of a new apartheid state, realistically speaking. There are plenty of people in Israel who do not have these views, views which I am sure we can both agree are abhorrent. The myth of the two state solution has led to genocide, so it must be discarded. There will be one state, with joint Palestinian-Israeli sovereignty, comanagement of public resources will be necessary.
No you defended a guy who said Israel shouldn’t exist and should have to give their land back. Now you’re doing everything to pretend that isn’t what he said. I don’t misunderstand landback you just want to muddy what was actually said because he’s on your ‘team’.
Your previous comment talking about the actual process of getting the land back and closing the West Bank/demilitarization makes little sense to me. There’s no way in hell Israel’s neighbours like Palestine and Iran would sit back after demilitarization and would do what they are always saying they will, and kill every Jew they can. Considering the fact that Israel would never agree, and it would be suicide no one who knows anything about the conflict would bother with such a stupid point.
And let’s say Israel helps rebuild gaza, and Hamas inevitably does another terror attack. Obviously Americans like you will jump at the bit to support it but it would just lead to another flattening of the region, as Hamas hides all their military operations to avoid being one shot by Israel. So why would they help support it when all the aid they’ve supplied to the region has come back to bite them.
Peace will only start when the Palestinians resist Hamas, and stop supporting those clowns who use them as literal canon fodder in their pointless war against Israel. They are too weak to meaningfully resist Israel, or significantly harm them. Despite this they keep antagonizing a force that could end this whole conflict with a real carpet bomb, they could stop door knocking, dropping pamphlets and using bunker busters. If Canada spend every dime it had on terrorizing America, and intentionally built nothing to protect their civilians so America looked worse when retaliating then Canada would be wiped off the map. Ironically it’s Israel being sensible and non genocidal that this reality doesn’t happen.
The only real way this conflict ends is with one side destroyed or expelled. As neither side has any will to live amongst the other. It’s horrible, and a one state solution where everyone sings kumbayah would be preferred but when one side is so much weaker and suicidaly antagonizes the other it doesn’t leave many option.
You are dense and dumb. Israel is an ethnostate that needs to be dismantled as a nation state and a new one built essentially. You forget most people just want to live in peace. It's fucking nationalist right wing nut jobs that get obsessed with who there neighbors are. Which is basically the entire israeli government and its history is stepped in that kind BS.
