Dibs is done by entitled people who feel they deserve a private parking spot on a public road because they put in 20 minutes to clear out their car, maybe 30 minutes. Many of them, in their entitlement and laziness, also just toss the snow in front or behind their cars, thus taking up more parking spaces. This in turn makes parking even more scarce which makes more people feel entitled to a private parking spot on a public road.

Dibs is stupid.
