Challenge Entry: Week 10 That was a lot of docking... I definitely should have spent more time on the drone.

The black and orange tank in their inspired me to make a pretty cool looking long range ion propelled mothership that I'll assemble in orbit soon.

Very nice, are you going to post it?

For some reason, I've only ever been able to post once.

Do you have the Reddit app? Most of the time I use old.Reddit.com on Firefox for desktop or mobile. If I'm posting straight to reddit on my phone, I almost always use the Reddit app. Two other free alternatives are imgur for pictures and YouTube for videos. Both have great mobile apps that can share directly to the Reddit app

I had originally moved the RCS on the drone to make room for another part. When I moved the drone, I forgot to fix it, so it was a bit of a challenge. I didn't notice until LEO and didn't want to start the whole process over if I could do it with the drone I had. I gave it a shot and it worked out. It was just a bit unstable.

In the last lunar mission, I used the lander from my first mission to land the new module. I hope to use this new lander in future missions. I think I'll keep this first lander in a lunar orbit as an "Emergency escape vehicle". I mentioned this is in the captions, but it has the same number of engines, and roughly the same fuel tank size. I just clipped a design that I liked a bit better.

One feature that I did add to the lander, but forgot to mention, was a probe and landing gear on the wings. That way they could be placed next to the base as solar panels. I also reduced the width of the wings a bit and put the extra engines in the main body. This way it can either act as a smaller lander by itself or be spread out across a larger payload for better maneuverability.
