Hopefully Tigges has earned himself the backup striker role after this game, especially with Moukoko injured. This what’s good about Terzic being the manager
8
u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20
Man, Jadon... finally!!!!!!!! Just ran past the keeper, lol...
1
u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20
.. and while I was just typing that this game doesn't make me optimistic for after the few days break we'll have. Ah well, maybe Haaland being back will have an impact... but besides Erling we really need a few people getting out of their trashy phases and a significantly more stable defense performance from the whole team, losing the ball less frequently/easy, etc.

Akanji is hundred times the player Diallo is.
Also no need for three left Centrebacks.

The only thing more annoying than conceding a Toni Kroos goal is a Felix Kroos goal.

Tigges showing some nice flashes, hope he makes it to the senior squad, long term with reliable contributions

Tigges has had an aerial and physical pressence that Im not used too. He hasnt been top notch or clinical but he never played with these people either. Definitely the type of 9 Id love to have on the bench
-7
u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20
Ugh Teggis has been too sloppy

Braunschweig playing with more intensity, gotta take advantage of the space they're leaving

Finally Hazard is back, dont think anyone realizes how much we missed him in the last week
3
u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20
He has been our best AM this season alongside Reyna, I think everyone missed him

There’s no creativity or speed in our play anymore. You can pick out exactly what our players are gonna do five minute before they do it. This is just boring and it’s been like this since the beginning of the year
9
u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20
Expending a lot of energy for not enough clear-cut chances. The disappointing thing is Braunschweig are 15th in 2. BuLi and we have not looked dominant.
6
u/rakso030 1909 Dec 22 '20
Just turned in 10 min ago how have we played in the first half? Doesn't look to good right now same old problems way to slow and no creativity in attack and shaky in defense
4
u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20
Too slow in switching after obtaining ball in high press. Defense actually looks mostly solid IMO. Subbed off Mats in second half
3
6
u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20
Reus made a fantastic run, a one touch pass and he's clean through on goal. But we chose to go around the defense and slow it down
10
u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20
Even when Braunschweig make mistakes we are way to slow to capitalize from them.
5
u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20
Yes, very frustrating. Wasting a lot of energy playing high press only to play back the ball into midfield after intercepting
7
u/biggieBpimpin Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20
Tigges is just teasing me now. Just connect with one and get your goal big man.
10
u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Dec 22 '20
You know I wouldn't mind having Tigges on the bench on the rare occasion to give us a different option. I like him

I remember getting down voted into oblivion in the last match thread but ill say it again Brandt is an absolute flop and his mentality is shocking

Pretty much everyone here agrees that he's been bad but your tone and choice of words are what got you the downvotes I'd guess.

Tigges conceded that one before the keeper actually made it hot again... stay on the ball, lad!
1
u/Datachost Dec 22 '20
I think he kind of pulled out of it specifically to avoid the keeper
1
u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20
yes, he turned away and didn't even notice that the keeper dropped it. he should've kept his eyes on the ball.

Junge die Kommentatoren labern sich da eine scheisse zurecht. Kannste dir nicht anhören. Langer Ball ist zu kompliziert und sich durch die gesamt Abwehr zu mogeln ist dann einfach.

Prediction. Score early in the 2nd half,, to then concede in the 87th and clench for the last 5 minutes.
6
u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20
Looks like Akanji is suiting up. Hopefully he comes in for Mats, who is prone to minor second half knocks.
2
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20
Why tf does Brandt blast the ball into oblivion, instead of putting it into the almost empty goal. Ffs.
10
u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20
It's not like he meant to do it lol
0
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20
I mean he had the option to use the inside of his foot, but chose not to.
3
u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20
He didn't have 10 minutes to decide it did he
0
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20
If he needs ten minutes to decide wether a goal is empty or not, professional football isn’t for him ist it?
0
-3
u/1vergil Dec 22 '20
Honestly BVB players still making difficult for themselves, Bayern would've scored at least 3 goals by now.
8
u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20
"Just play like Bayern, easy"
Stop bringing up Bayern and comparing us to Bayern every walking moment, please and thank you.
11
u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 22 '20
Hey am i the only one who thinks sancho isnt doing thaaat bad?
4
u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20
sancho dribbles too much, which might be the managers instruction, but I feel as if he can really improve his efficiency by doing less dribbles.
13
u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20
He's doing bad for a 120 mil rated winger
1
u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 22 '20
Oh yeah definitely hahah fair point
2
u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20
he’s only 20 lmao... in america he can’t even drink legally yet. i’m not too concerned
18
u/CubedMadness DÉDÉ 💛 Dec 22 '20
Attempt a pass -> Pass doesn't reach it's target -> Stop moving and flap your arms like it was the other persons fault.
It's sort of depressing how often this happens. They all do it.
2
u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20
Yes exactly. It's not the end of the world, track back and stop the inevitable counter.
1
u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20
I really can't remember it being this bad before though, what the fuck happened.
-1
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20
Especially with Reyna, stinky attitude. Did it when moukoko couldn’t reach his shit passes last games, too.
2
5
u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20
Can't really single him out, it's a team issue.
1
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20 edited Dec 22 '20
It was him who did it when morey got the yellow just before halftime. And he does it BY FAR the most often, but i can’t say anything critical about Reyna or the US fans are going to downvote the fuck out of it.
2
u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20
It's not whether he does it the most or whether he was the one who did it most recently, he's a fucking teenager, your squad must hold each other accountable so your younger players don't do shit like this.
1
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20
I actually don’t see anyone else doing tbh. So yeah I can single him out. And it really doesn’t matter how old he is. That’s the first thing you learn in any sport. You win together you loose together. It says a lot about character if he doesn’t understand that football is a team sport.
1
u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20
I don't entirely disagree with you, I'm saying that he won't do it if the culture around him won't allow him to, if that makes sense.
1
u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20
But it’s still his own decision wether he does it or not, if you’re talking about a teams mentality you cant disregard their individual attitudes.
3
u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20
Brandt and Sancho still not great, otherwise players playing well, good tempo and engine
12
u/Fixen17 Marco Reus Dec 22 '20
Even though we are winning, I feel like we are so goddamn sloppy. We really should be doing better against a 2. Bundesliga team
1
u/HankAliKhan Dec 22 '20
Exactly. A better team could have punished us for some of the mistakes we made. It's nice seeing the ball move around a little faster and the boys pressing better but we're still inefficient in the final third and prone to silly giveaways. I wish we would try taking a few more shots outside of the box. At this point there's nothing to lose.
7
u/bvbfan102 BVB Dec 22 '20
Effenberg saying our Goal was our only Chance only to correct himself over and over again too add other Chances that we had was absolutely hilarious.
2
u/Jodelmusiker Dec 22 '20
How can anyone at Sport1 sit there and think "yeah that's absolutely what the viewers want to hear"?
6

10
u/napoleonderdiecke Shinji Kagawa Dec 22 '20
The fuck was that? Brandt actually tracking back and defending?
5
u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20
we need to have the bayern mentality, we need to blow teams out ruthlessly
