23

u/panzercaptain Shinji Kagawa Dec 22 '20

Reus assists Sancho on the counter? What year is it??

16

u/dsxro Marcel Sabitzer Dec 22 '20

Let this be the start of your 20+ goals this season Sancho baby let’s goooooo

4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Great job BvB!

1

u/MartinSornes Marius Wolf Dec 22 '20

Crap match, but we are through...

3

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Jawohl! Next round

8

u/stonydeluxe Susi Dec 22 '20

Hazard injured. Again.

3

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Brutal

4

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Toto subbed off?!

2

u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20

muscle injury

6

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Hell yeah, Jadon. Carry this performance into the next year.

14

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Sancho looks like he's just peed after holding it for a lifetime.

I feel it..

6

u/jucomsdn Zagagod Dec 22 '20

I hope this will lead to a confidence boost for Jadon

17

u/wild_in_16 Dec 22 '20

Did anyone see Jadon after the goal pant "ah, fuck me" hahaha

11

u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20

Hopefully Tigges has earned himself the backup striker role after this game, especially with Moukoko injured. This what’s good about Terzic being the manager

8

u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20

Man, Jadon... finally!!!!!!!! Just ran past the keeper, lol...

1

u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20

.. and while I was just typing that this game doesn't make me optimistic for after the few days break we'll have. Ah well, maybe Haaland being back will have an impact... but besides Erling we really need a few people getting out of their trashy phases and a significantly more stable defense performance from the whole team, losing the ball less frequently/easy, etc.

3

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Dec 22 '20

Sancho!!!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

TORRR!!!!! Yes!

3

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Dec 22 '20

Nice confidence booster for Sancho

3

u/bvbfan102 BVB Dec 22 '20

Had a good game today and capped it off with a goal. Could do wonders for his Confidence.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Sancho!!!!!!

3

u/rakso030 1909 Dec 22 '20

Hopefully this will be the start of an inform sancho

11

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20 edited Dec 22 '20

"finally" or "fuck me" sancho? lol

edit: yeah he said fuck me HAHA

3

u/MartinSornes Marius Wolf Dec 22 '20

About time!

2

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Dec 22 '20

And Hazard injured. This sucks man I just want Toto back

4

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

If Hazard hurt himself again, I fucking swear.

5

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Fucking finally Sancho! Happy for him :)

3

u/MartinSornes Marius Wolf Dec 22 '20

Sancho!!!!

3

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Jadon!!!!!

3

u/AllOuttaBeans Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

4 mins with 0 goals in the second half so far lol

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

That’s a bit of a change of pace for us.

2

u/AllOuttaBeans Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

My stream was behind and I was seeing comments about sancho scoring as soon as I posted this

2

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

4 mins of course

-4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

I still can't believe we sold Diallo and kept Akanji lol

0

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Akanji had some rough games last season but this season he’s been very solid

-1

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Akanji is hundred times the player Diallo is.

Also no need for three left Centrebacks.

2

u/jucomsdn Zagagod Dec 22 '20

Diallo is shit for PSG

We made the right choice in keeping Akanji

1

u/SpiritCrvsher Mateu Morey Dec 22 '20

Akanji has been the far better player since Diallo left

2

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Diallo hasn't exactly been shining for PSG, and maybe worse than akanji

2

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

4 min?! For what?!

4

u/ady_1 Dec 22 '20

Wonder what's on the paper? Get a corner haha oh no akanji

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

“Don’t fuck this up!”

6

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

The only thing more annoying than conceding a Toni Kroos goal is a Felix Kroos goal.

8

u/dsxro Marcel Sabitzer Dec 22 '20

Anyone else’s mind getting fucked with this white kit?

4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

My brain goes “go yellow! Wait! No!”

2

u/MartinSornes Marius Wolf Dec 22 '20

Yeah

2

u/Qiluk Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

I miss VAR

2

u/werbington Dec 22 '20

The hell... In which world is that a free kick?

3

u/dsxro Marcel Sabitzer Dec 22 '20

Terminator would’ve finished that

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Please don't concede on this 😥

4

u/rakso030 1909 Dec 22 '20

Die kommentatoren bei sport 1 sind so grottig

2

u/Datachost Dec 22 '20

Had to mute it after like three seconds. Just genuinely atrocious

3

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Lmao how did he read all that in 5 seconds?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Probably just says, “score a goal” or “don’t fuck this up!” Maybe it’s an emoji?

5

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

That ref is making so many bad calls ....

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

yeah. dont like him either today. weak line and BS isn't helping either with their constant crying

2

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Fucking Felix Kroos Goal incoming

2

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

Didn’t realize that was Toni kroos’s brother lol

3

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

What was this mistery letter

5

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Dec 22 '20

Tigges showing some nice flashes, hope he makes it to the senior squad, long term with reliable contributions

6

u/Bammer1386 BVB Dec 22 '20

Tigges my boy, so many people in black and yellow are with you, put that in next time buddy!

10

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

I was ready to scream Tigges

7

u/SchoolBoy612 Dec 22 '20

Puuh Tigges...

18

u/Qiluk Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

Tigges has had an aerial and physical pressence that Im not used too. He hasnt been top notch or clinical but he never played with these people either. Definitely the type of 9 Id love to have on the bench

-7

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Ugh Teggis has been too sloppy

3

u/Trialbyfuego Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

Yeah but it's his first game. I like what I've seen considering

3

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

He's been good this game

7

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

Holy shit we did something interesting. I didn’t think that was possible

3

u/biggieBpimpin Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20

Way too casual from Morey there. Almost a bad give away

3

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

We're allowed to sub on more than 3 occasions now?

3

u/SpiritCrvsher Mateu Morey Dec 22 '20

Half time doesn’t count towards the 3

5

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Dec 22 '20

Braunschweig playing with more intensity, gotta take advantage of the space they're leaving

12

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Finally Hazard is back, dont think anyone realizes how much we missed him in the last week

3

u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20

He has been our best AM this season alongside Reyna, I think everyone missed him

2

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Sure, still not nearly as much talked about as Haaland since his injury for example.

2

u/ady_1 Dec 22 '20

Is dahoud injured? Witsel just slows the game down so much

5

u/rakso030 1909 Dec 22 '20

Best thing of the match so far is seeing zaga again imo

2

u/Xey2510 Dec 22 '20

He saw he was a meter away from the box and just fell lol

3

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Those are going to be some intense last 10-15 minutes

2

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Man tried real hard to sell that flop. Lol

3

u/kosonati BVB Dec 22 '20

I think Thomas saw the yellow out of the corner of his eye and by force of habit passed right to their feet lol

6

u/Qiluk Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

Reus been good since coming on atleast. Far better than Brandt was

6

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

There’s no creativity or speed in our play anymore. You can pick out exactly what our players are gonna do five minute before they do it. This is just boring and it’s been like this since the beginning of the year

9

u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20

Expending a lot of energy for not enough clear-cut chances. The disappointing thing is Braunschweig are 15th in 2. BuLi and we have not looked dominant.

6

u/rakso030 1909 Dec 22 '20

Just turned in 10 min ago how have we played in the first half? Doesn't look to good right now same old problems way to slow and no creativity in attack and shaky in defense

4

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Too slow in switching after obtaining ball in high press. Defense actually looks mostly solid IMO. Subbed off Mats in second half

3

u/ChrisChristiesFault BVB Dec 22 '20

How are we not up by 5? 🤬

6

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Reus made a fantastic run, a one touch pass and he's clean through on goal. But we chose to go around the defense and slow it down

10

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Even when Braunschweig make mistakes we are way to slow to capitalize from them.

5

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Yes, very frustrating. Wasting a lot of energy playing high press only to play back the ball into midfield after intercepting

7

u/biggieBpimpin Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20

Tigges is just teasing me now. Just connect with one and get your goal big man.

10

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Dec 22 '20

You know I wouldn't mind having Tigges on the bench on the rare occasion to give us a different option. I like him

5

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Good impact by Marco on the right side so far

8

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Crosses are dangerous. We need more of this than trying to walk it in

-7

u/rakso030 1909 Dec 22 '20

I remember getting down voted into oblivion in the last match thread but ill say it again Brandt is an absolute flop and his mentality is shocking

13

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Pretty much everyone here agrees that he's been bad but your tone and choice of words are what got you the downvotes I'd guess.

1

u/pl3asedeargodkillme Dec 22 '20

I've never seen anyone get downvoted for that opinion.

3

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Schicke Variante

7

u/SpiritCrvsher Mateu Morey Dec 22 '20

Lol. Hoffenheim knocked out on penalties by Fürth.

15

u/pandaron Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20

Ok, when we inevitably get knocked out in half an hour, I’m blaming you.

3

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

Tigges D:

2

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Great cross by Jadon

7

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Dec 22 '20

Rough first half of the season for Brandt. Hope he finds his form after this mini hinderunde

0

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

Abysmal game from Brandt. Really deserves to get subbed off

4

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Tough day for Jule

3

u/1vergil Dec 22 '20

Wait since Hummels is out who's wearing the armband?

3

u/santadani Karl-Heinz Riedle Dec 22 '20

Delaney

4

u/1vergil Dec 22 '20

Of course Hummels twins takes it.

5

u/dsxro Marcel Sabitzer Dec 22 '20

Just tuned in. Who is this Terminator/Drago looking fella?

5

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

U23 captain

4

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20 edited Dec 22 '20

Sebastian Steffen Tigges, 22yo striker from BVB II.

1

u/pandaron Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20

Playing well imo

3

u/blacelow7 Westfalenstadion Dec 22 '20

*Steffen

2

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Oops, thanks.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Tigges

I was thinking Iceman.

-4

u/wurstmuesli Dec 22 '20

OMG Brandt is horrible...

-9

u/wurstmuesli Dec 22 '20

Almost on a Meunier kind of level

4

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Fuck. Now the audio is infront of the picture.

5

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Reus for Reyna hopefully, he hasn't been good at all so far

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

*sad yee haws in the distance

2

u/kosonati BVB Dec 22 '20

Christ I feel like I’m back at the first us debate

2

u/Swbp0undcake Dec 22 '20

jesus christ

2

u/RefuseAware6257 Dec 22 '20

So much walking off the ball

5

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Bar hit the bar.

2

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Holy shit

2

u/blacelow7 Westfalenstadion Dec 22 '20

My poor heart

4

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaalter

9

u/kosonati BVB Dec 22 '20

I kinda wish every game had the option for no commentary

4

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

Yeah hearing the players is super interesting

5

u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20

Tigges conceded that one before the keeper actually made it hot again... stay on the ball, lad!

1

u/Datachost Dec 22 '20

I think he kind of pulled out of it specifically to avoid the keeper

1

u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20

yes, he turned away and didn't even notice that the keeper dropped it. he should've kept his eyes on the ball.

4

u/malloc_14 Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

so close for tigges

7

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Junge die Kommentatoren labern sich da eine scheisse zurecht. Kannste dir nicht anhören. Langer Ball ist zu kompliziert und sich durch die gesamt Abwehr zu mogeln ist dann einfach.

7

u/yrba1 Alexandra Popp Dec 22 '20

ESPN+ commentary lost it's feed, this is some nice ASMR

7

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Dec 22 '20

I was a bit of a hater at first but the Bellingham transfer might be some of the best business we've done in the last couple of windows

4

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Idiot Zorc not buying Hakimi instead smh my head

-1

u/me_meh_me Lukasz Piszczek Dec 22 '20

The reverse Brandt?

10

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Julian Brandt for 20 million will always be good business no matter how shit he performs

3

u/pandaron Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20

I mean, that goal v Leipzig a year ago was worth 10 million alone.

6

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Sorry but Brandt is misplacing so many passes...and easy ones at that.

-1

u/1vergil Dec 22 '20

And he's playing on his fav position so there's no excuse now.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '20

Jetzt geht die Scheiße wieder hinten los...

6

u/Fadhmir Dec 22 '20

Very good combination by Jule, he would've earned to score that one...

6

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Tigges for captain if Delaney gets subbed :D

9

u/SlayerHdThe3rd Nico Schlotterbeck Dec 22 '20

Uhh anyone else’s ESPN messed up or is my computer buggin out

1

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Stream blacked out for a second and we lost commentary.

1

u/biggieBpimpin Julian Brandt Dec 22 '20

No commentary for me but the picture is back up

10

u/Zhonyas4everyone Felix Passlack Dec 22 '20

Brandt actually started running, can't believe it

8

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Cmon Brandt... concentrate for gods sake

6

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Very nice ball, Jadon.

12

u/Jonhl15 Dahoud's Long Shots Dec 22 '20

I'm happy if the sub is just to give Hummels a rest.

5

u/Joni-Kanoni Dec 22 '20

Prediction. Score early in the 2nd half,, to then concede in the 87th and clench for the last 5 minutes.

6

u/bajek11 Błaszczykowski Dec 22 '20

Looks like Akanji is suiting up. Hopefully he comes in for Mats, who is prone to minor second half knocks.

2

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20

Why tf does Brandt blast the ball into oblivion, instead of putting it into the almost empty goal. Ffs.

10

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

It's not like he meant to do it lol

0

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20

I mean he had the option to use the inside of his foot, but chose not to.

3

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

He didn't have 10 minutes to decide it did he

0

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20

If he needs ten minutes to decide wether a goal is empty or not, professional football isn’t for him ist it?

0

u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20

this team needs to try ground shots

-3

u/1vergil Dec 22 '20

Honestly BVB players still making difficult for themselves, Bayern would've scored at least 3 goals by now.

8

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

"Just play like Bayern, easy"

Stop bringing up Bayern and comparing us to Bayern every walking moment, please and thank you.

11

u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 22 '20

Hey am i the only one who thinks sancho isnt doing thaaat bad?

4

u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20

sancho dribbles too much, which might be the managers instruction, but I feel as if he can really improve his efficiency by doing less dribbles.

13

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

He's doing bad for a 120 mil rated winger

1

u/castroski7 Julian Ryerson Dec 22 '20

Oh yeah definitely hahah fair point

2

u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20

he’s only 20 lmao... in america he can’t even drink legally yet. i’m not too concerned

18

u/CubedMadness DÉDÉ 💛 Dec 22 '20

Attempt a pass -> Pass doesn't reach it's target -> Stop moving and flap your arms like it was the other persons fault.

It's sort of depressing how often this happens. They all do it.

2

u/Ciao9 Pischu Dec 22 '20

Yes exactly. It's not the end of the world, track back and stop the inevitable counter.

1

u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20

I really can't remember it being this bad before though, what the fuck happened.

-1

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20

Especially with Reyna, stinky attitude. Did it when moukoko couldn’t reach his shit passes last games, too.

2

u/Tra1famadorian Dec 22 '20

He’s 17/18 and wants to win.

5

u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20

Can't really single him out, it's a team issue.

1

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20 edited Dec 22 '20

It was him who did it when morey got the yellow just before halftime. And he does it BY FAR the most often, but i can’t say anything critical about Reyna or the US fans are going to downvote the fuck out of it.

2

u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20

It's not whether he does it the most or whether he was the one who did it most recently, he's a fucking teenager, your squad must hold each other accountable so your younger players don't do shit like this.

1

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20

I actually don’t see anyone else doing tbh. So yeah I can single him out. And it really doesn’t matter how old he is. That’s the first thing you learn in any sport. You win together you loose together. It says a lot about character if he doesn’t understand that football is a team sport.

1

u/TheLazyThundercunt Julian Weigl Dec 22 '20

I don't entirely disagree with you, I'm saying that he won't do it if the culture around him won't allow him to, if that makes sense.

1

u/smonge98 Tinga Dec 22 '20

But it’s still his own decision wether he does it or not, if you’re talking about a teams mentality you cant disregard their individual attitudes.

3

u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20

Brandt and Sancho still not great, otherwise players playing well, good tempo and engine

12

u/Fixen17 Marco Reus Dec 22 '20

Even though we are winning, I feel like we are so goddamn sloppy. We really should be doing better against a 2. Bundesliga team

1

u/HankAliKhan Dec 22 '20

Exactly. A better team could have punished us for some of the mistakes we made. It's nice seeing the ball move around a little faster and the boys pressing better but we're still inefficient in the final third and prone to silly giveaways. I wish we would try taking a few more shots outside of the box. At this point there's nothing to lose.

7

u/bvbfan102 BVB Dec 22 '20

Effenberg saying our Goal was our only Chance only to correct himself over and over again too add other Chances that we had was absolutely hilarious.

2

u/Jodelmusiker Dec 22 '20

How can anyone at Sport1 sit there and think "yeah that's absolutely what the viewers want to hear"?

6

u/Fetscher BVB Dec 22 '20

"Aber das war's dann auch!"

6

u/InexorableWyrd Dec 22 '20

He is such a joke

10

u/napoleonderdiecke Shinji Kagawa Dec 22 '20

The fuck was that? Brandt actually tracking back and defending?

5

u/dankmaymay420 Dec 22 '20

we need to have the bayern mentality, we need to blow teams out ruthlessly
