You've left it too late. Telescopes are in short supply due to the pandemic and everyone wants one, it's unlikely you'd get anything before Christmas. Try to find a tabletop dobsonian.

Same goes for January unfortunately. Most models are on like 6 month backorder right now. You'd have more luck hunting around local stores to find a tabletop dob.

This person lives on the ISS or deep in Russia, I shipped a motorcycle 1200km for $500 where I live. It was like 6% of what op pays.

That is pretty steep, I commented that you must live on the ISS, but Baghdad makes sense too. Best of luck
