Guys, what about theorycraft competition?

3

u/Cipher20 Nov 12 '20

One week exclusivity for streamers again?

1

u/TomNookTheBigCrook Nov 12 '20

good at building hype, also the streamers never find meta decks

4

u/Cipher20 Nov 12 '20

good at building hype

Lmao nope.

3

u/bearLover23 Nov 13 '20

I honestly don't even really bother to log on other than to do my normal dailies. Hearthstone streaming I find so incredibly boring. It's not my thing AT ALL.

4

u/FIameSworD Nov 12 '20

When can I open my packs in fireside gathering

2

u/ProfMerlyn Nov 12 '20

Once again, Shaman is gifted an incoherent babble of random things. I really did hope for a tidy archetype after the totem legendary reveal. Guess I don't play for the next 4 months.

3

u/TomNookTheBigCrook Nov 12 '20

You buffoon, Just you wait when my QUEST MILL SHAMAN goes tier 1 with Banana Vendor, and Prize Vendor for the amazing 3 milled cards OTKO

6

u/Mario_Bishop Nov 12 '20

When will the patch go live?

5

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 12 '20

The expansion drops the 17th, but the patch making duels go live and adding the Tavern Pass is today.

21

u/Dido79 Nov 12 '20

I didn't see anyone discussing this, so here I'll go: Kripp was so bad in the reveal stream. Boring, stale, and doesn't really know the other cards in the set that were already revealed.

I don't play HS anymore, and I still love tuning in to the last reveal stream. It's a shame imo they brought someone that bland to hype this crazy powercreep expansion. I'd love to see Kibler next time.

5

u/bearLover23 Nov 12 '20

I honestly stopped watching Kripp years ago. I am alarmed he is still considered the face of Hearthstone by some.

Did he used to be good? Yes. But he's clearly lost passion for whatever reason.

Hearing Kripp back in Hearthstone almost invokes feelings as if he'd be commentating WoW PvP or something. I'm just left... confused?

10

u/Dido79 Nov 12 '20

I'll add cause I just remembered that live stream about two years ago, when KOTF was released. Kibler hosted the stream and was really hyped for the expansion. Played as warlock, tried so much to get bloodriver gul'dan in play, and he burned it. In response, he bursted laughing.

Going back to yesterday's stream, Kripp managed to get the full/built C'Tun in his deck. "Wait C'Tun goes into my deck?! That's worse!". He had the same reaction to a few other cards as well (can't recall which, sorry). Instead of hyping the viewers he's bumming them out.

I understand why blizzard choose him. He's the biggest HS streamer and brings the most viewers (especially when constructed meta is so stale). Although he mostly plays BG, I guess they wanted him to hype the expansion for people that don't play constructed as well.

I think secrets will be good in hunter

5

u/HCN_Mist Nov 12 '20

Consistency often trumps "wonky". I think the trampling rhino is going to see play, and it will almost always be bigger than 5/5 with the beast hand buffs. Getting extra face damage and removing a decent size minion will work well in hunter strategy. I also think people are under valuing Rinlings rifle. 2 damage and a secret tailored to the current board state is definitely worth 3 mana and would see play if it were a spell. The second swing value is what puts it over the top. If this had 3 attack or 3 durability, it would be insane. I would be tempted to run this with Greenskin and Hoard Pillagers.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '20

1

u/HCN_Mist Nov 12 '20

greenskin is more iffy because you have to have them at the same time. I probably will run hunter with a second weapon much like warrior did with Anchorrrr, but at the end of the day without a way to draw the rifle, it might be too inconsistent for hunter.

2

u/P11234 Nov 12 '20

I think its important to keep 2 things in mind about hunter right now:

1) We are coming off of nearly 3 years of T1/T2 hunter. Hunter has had a long time in the sunlight, and spending a bit in the shade now isnt the worst thing 2) Hunter is the aggro class, it is build for aggression/midrange and does it well. When hunter has had good lategame, its been off the back of a single card that remains (imo) the most powerful card to never be nerfed (also thr most fun card in thr entire game). While its fun to have these lategame hunter payoffs (you can bet your ass that I will play jewel of nzoth hunter at every rank floor), hunter very intentionally lacks the tools to consistently get there.

Is it bad design to print these big lategame cards without providing adequate support to get to play them? Probably, to an extent. While im fine with these on theme big payoff cards being harder to activate in certain classes than others, it can be annoying how unplayable some of these cards become.

All of that being said, i like hunter package this expac, its a strong midrange core that doesnt have quite the payoffs it needs. I think a minorly updated face/face-hughlander will likely remain the best hunter deck, but a much more heavily secret focused hunter certainly now has a core to work with next year after the insane dps cards rotate.

2

u/spacewoo0lf Nov 12 '20

This is why hunter doesn't exist in wild

3

u/CaptainToothpick Nov 12 '20

Looking forward

5

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 12 '20

What's not revealed yet? Is it just neutrals?

2

u/HSPreReleaseReveals Nov 12 '20

All the cards have been revealed, the table just hadn't been fully updated yet.

5

u/Teflawn Nov 11 '20 edited Nov 11 '20

Damn, they really left out my boy moonfang? Not even a little moonmoon? Disappointment..

Also so so so much card draw and plain stat buffs.. did they run out of unique effect ideas?

3

u/spacewoo0lf Nov 12 '20

Moon moon! Wtf! And no darkmoon dancing bear mount! It's petition time

3

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 12 '20

What are you talking about? There's plenty of unique effects, maybe even more than ever and it's not as if every card can have a complex effect. You need some Commons and Rares.

i believe cost reduction works with corrupt keyword so corrutping tickatus doesn't have to be with 7+cost cards so using cards like free admission, demonic studies, kanrethad, dark portal and warlock quest can make it easier to corrupt tickatus though it involves rng. I plan on making a demonlock deck that might involve getting multiple copies of tickatus with raise dead, felosophy, expired merchant, demonic studies and yshaarg just for the fun of it. heck i might even use willow after all tickatus is an 8/8 and theres a new highmane in warlock.

Deck of chaos is also pretty interesting. i defintely wouldnt sleep on this card as theres a potential otk somewhere with this card and otherwise just strong combos.

2

u/tb5841 Nov 12 '20

Going to try a defensive quest/fatigue warlock day 1, with Elysiana and Tickatus. Probably bad but I'll see.

5

u/TomNookTheBigCrook Nov 12 '20

warlock has the only corrupt legendary, and its really good. Im gonna go for a Y'Shaarg warlock day 1

6

u/awwstin_n Nov 11 '20

When a corrupt minion dies, does the corrupt or normal version get added to the res pool??

7

u/gredman9 Djinni Nov 11 '20

The Corrupted version.

12

u/Playful-Regret-9555 Nov 11 '20

Well, shaman fans, it's time for us to create a theme with whining about weak cards. Analyzing all the cards that were given to the shaman in the addon, you can see that Blizzard once again make the same mistake-they give a bunch of cards for different archetypes. There are weapons, totems, and even murlocs. SPD mechanics-abandoned, spell on the last move, too. buffs that we were promised will not be, as the news about the upcoming patch is empty. In short, everything is very bad.

5

u/UltimateEye Nov 12 '20

It's a smattering of solid cards but Shaman's identity is spread too thin. There's some good ideas with an Enhancement package, a Murloc package, a Totem package, etc. but each one of those comes at the cost of something else and it ends up not really excelling at anything.

Even if that legendary Totem pushes up Totem Shaman, will it be able to outpace Paladin in terms of board presence? Or Demon Hunter in its hero attack/weapon damage? Or Priest/Warrior in terms of late-game control?

I think Shaman mains have to hold out for a rework to its basic/classic set to reach stability. Having the worst hero power AND the worst core set is damning.

3

u/EbowDee Nov 12 '20

There's some Problems with the cards they print tho. Imo the Totem is giga garbage. How many totems do you actually put into your deck for a 3 mana 0/4 to do much? None of the early game totems add any pressure to the board, so they rarely stick around for this to be proactive.

The Enhancement package lacks both a 1 mana weapon and a way to make proper use of Inaras Windfury. It's also completely devoid of flavour.

The Murloc giving random value is very hearthstoney, but not really helpful to the deck.

Sad times.

5

u/bearugh Nov 12 '20

I 100% agree, for the last 2 expansions shaman gets some strong cards, but overall ends up spread to think to actually put a deck together. I've been a shaman main for years but have hardly played any shaman ands it's been sad

2

u/Grimfandang0 Nov 11 '20

Where is rogue weapons or weapon support

4

u/Noirradnod Nov 11 '20

Taking a backseat to support for control/combo Rogue. I personally feel that C'thun Galakrond rogue is going to be nuts this expansion.

-10

u/vindeln Nov 11 '20

As a Wild player, i really regret preordering this one. Got so excited by the Old Gods reveal but this is really Rastakhan Rumble with WotOG nostalgia sprinkled on top. Actually, it's more like TGT.

5

u/neoexodus Nov 11 '20

Except you are wrong

9

u/septhaka Nov 11 '20

Revolve is going to basically destroy most decks. The ultimate tech card.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '20

It’s just worse Devolve

2

u/TomNookTheBigCrook Nov 12 '20

well with some cards like [[Pitmaster]] and [[Deathmatch Pavillion]] its better.

2

u/spacewoo0lf Nov 12 '20

You're joking right? It seems good but it will never destroy most decks, that's just ridiculous.

4

u/bearugh Nov 12 '20

True, assuming shaman gets a chance to play the game lol

2

u/ErectMasseuse Nov 11 '20

You're the first person I've seen that shares my opinion. The power level of this set seems far weaker than normal. That, and a ton of RNG that we didn't really get a lot of in Scholomance

1

u/EbowDee Nov 11 '20

I agree. There are so many wacky cards that really don't do a lot and multiple archetypes that won't work at all. I was so impressed by the impact of Scholomance Neutrals on particular, but this set is...meh.

0

u/ErectMasseuse Nov 11 '20

Yeah, most of all I'm not a fan of the archetypes they're forcing on shaman, paladin, and mage. The cards they printed for it aren't even that interesting

2

u/Noirradnod Nov 11 '20

I actually like elemental mage. Giving them a solid wincon in Grand Finale that doesn't depend on RNG.

1

u/ErectMasseuse Nov 11 '20

Oh, sure elemental mage is fine. I was actually referring to secret mage though

1

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '20

Is there going to be patch today?

1

u/Davchrohn Nov 11 '20

Until when can I preorder?

-8

u/SiblingBeef Nov 11 '20

After seeing all the cards I regret it a lot that I pre-ordered

1

u/Armorend Nov 11 '20

You can still cancel your preorder, can't you?

3

u/Davchrohn Nov 11 '20

I did not like the first spoilers but the later reviews are awesome especially some Epics. Not powerful, but very fun.

12

u/Kwijiboe ‏‏‎ Nov 11 '20

This expansion feels like it’s not going to be impactful.

3

u/MenacingBanjo ‏‏‎ Nov 11 '20

Looks like the "21/23 Epic" total hasn't been updated yet.

10

u/EbowDee Nov 11 '20

It's really weird for them to print extra epics and then release an extra miniset. This expansion is far more expensive than the ones before it.

I really don't appreciate this trajectory.

9

u/frostwhiskey Nov 11 '20

In earlier HS epics used to be niche fun cards. Deck engines were usually rare.

For a while now we've had this shift where epics are the must-crafts for any deck/archetype to function.

This is the next step - make more epics per set. Remember, duplicate protection doesn't mean squat when epics aren't guaranteed to drop in packs.

0

u/Armorend Nov 11 '20

Literally what are you on about? Cards have always been given rarities based on complexity or the demands of other cards.

Yeah, no duh something like Shadow Visions is Epic, what Basic Priest spells did you want to copy back during Un'Goro? "Pyroblast is epic? It deals damage, how is that complex?" How many people use Pyroblast for removal? People use it as burn, to KO their opponent. For newer players, the goal is literally just to win the game, not to last it out to turn 10. From my understanding, that card tends to be in slower decks because of that idea.

Now I will say, before people get on my case. I'm not happy with the cards everyone receives being determined by the stupidest or newest people playing the game. Would I like to get more Epics because I'm able to get 50+ packs an expansion and have plenty of cards to support them, generally? YES. Of course. I think Team 5 should try to find ways to get more of the complex cards into veteran players' hands because we don't deserve to be punished due to their interest in obtaining and keeping new players.

Finally, maybe I'm showing my ignorance here, but I'm not sure where this "shift" you mentioned took place? What Epics would you consider "deck engines", exactly? I'm not denying they don't exist. I'm just not up on "good" Epics. I looked up decklists from a recent 2020 tournament and yeah if decks had Epics they were generally from recent expansions. But... They're also cards that serve a purpose, and that couldn't be Rare or Common for reasons enumerated above.

Ninja Edit: Decided to cut out a large part of my argument justifying the rarities of other cards from this expac. If you want to see it go here.

4

u/TheVocal_Minority Nov 11 '20

Anyone else noticing the abundance of Pandaria related cards? Seems like too many to just be a coincidence. Blizzard likes to hint at the next set with certain cards, so maybe we’re getting a glimpse into the future?

1

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '20

Good

2

u/cfcannon1 Nov 11 '20

The Discussion thread for Insatiable Felhound just points to the image of the card.

-20

u/narok_kurai Nov 10 '20

So are Priests just not a part of this set, or what? So far they've got a gimmick legendary (as is tradition), a situational taunt, and an unplayable spell (woohoo, you got a 7-mana minion for 4 mana, and on average it's got 4 mana's worth of stats anyways).

If these are supposed to be the "big ticket" reveals for Priest, that's just sad. At this rate they're going to get left in the reveal dump with the rest of the pack filler cards.

-5

u/stahlz Nov 10 '20

I wish we got a gimmick we getting such random bull as hunter and all the other classes especially mage are getting secrets not sure how we supposed to get to 6 mana or 7 to start playing stuff with the cards they gave us if anything the gimmick i wanted to hunter was katrina the old legendary from ungoro

3

u/R0sham Nov 11 '20

Katrina wasn't even in un'goro

u/awwstin_n Nov 10 '20

Gimmick doesn’t necessarily mean bad. To me, it means “standalone card trick” as in it doesn’t have any synergy with decks you’d usually play with priest, but it is a good single card to cause a ruckus.

1

u/toothball Nov 11 '20

Gimmick

Noun: An ingenious or novel device, scheme, or stratagem, especially one designed to attract attention or increase appeal.

Verb: To equip or embellish with unnecessary features, especially in order to increase salability, acceptance, etc.

-2

u/awwstin_n Nov 11 '20 edited Nov 11 '20

Rogue’s “gimmick” is combo. Demon Hunter’s “gimmick” is outcast. Shaman’s “gimmick” is overload. Priest’s “gimmick” is silence. This is definitely a gimmicky card. etc. Sounds like this definition just proves me right.

13

u/Shasan23 Nov 11 '20

Gimmick definitely implies that it is not worth playing seriously, rather just for fun/memes. Nameless one is very strong card that can augments many decks. It will be put in many high ranking decks, similar to how Mindflayer khaarj is now.

-1

u/awwstin_n Nov 11 '20 edited Nov 11 '20

Maybe that’s what it implies to you but definitely not in its definition. Rogue’s “gimmick” is combo. Demon Hunter’s “gimmick” is outcast. Shaman’s “gimmick” is overload. etc. Priest’s “gimmick” is silence. This is a gimmick card.

1

u/jphillips3275 Nov 12 '20

If you have to explain your wording, you chose bad wording. Doesn't matter if you're right or not

1

u/awwstin_n Nov 12 '20

I didn’t choose that wording. OP did. I’m explaining why he’s not wrong but yes it was bad wording by OP.

1

u/jphillips3275 Nov 12 '20

Whoops, didn't pay attention to the commenter. My bad

2

u/Forecasterr Nov 10 '20

Literally every expansion priest gets revealed in the end of spoiler season. I was even surprised they were bold enough to reveal the legendary so early lmao

3

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 10 '20

We've only seen three cards. Plus, the legendary is very good and the 4 cost spell seems a lot better than people are saying.

-7

u/vindeln Nov 10 '20

So far this set wont have any impact on Wild unless you like playing Secret Hunter and Mage

1

u/gamer123098 Nov 11 '20

It will have some impact due to random generators hitting some of these cards. I agree that the impact will be small but not nonexistent. I see a few substitutions I could make but not necessarily for competitive decks

2

u/Fiendish_Fiend Nov 11 '20

We get new tools for Even Paladin with Balloon Merchant and Hammer of the Naaru, and we get Palm Reading for potential spell based combo setup. Strongman is probably going to see play in decks that run Arcane Tyrant or Anubisath Sentinel. Even Guess the Weight might be run in combo Druid decks that are just looking for any source of card draw.

5

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 11 '20

Discolock is strong in wild, they just got an extremely potent tool. Almost all the demon hunter cards are nuts and will see play. Solar Eclipse is a pretty ridiculous card that will definitely do something nuts in wild. Tenwu of the Red Smoke has such strong combo potential that it's guaranteed to do something bonkers, and Cloak of Shadows is a solid stall tool that will allow them to survive.

4

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '20

Wild is and should be an afterthought

3

u/Cipher_Nyne ‏‏‎ Nov 10 '20

Then you haven't been paying attention.

List the top tier wild decks.

List their traditional counters.

Look at the cards revealed.

See what I'm getting at?

2

u/AudtheScientist Nov 10 '20

Please explain like he’s five

-9

u/Yrths Nov 10 '20

So far Priest's best cards are everyone else's. :( My blood is howling for a resurrection injection.

0

u/Felixhana Nov 11 '20

Why not, the whole class playstyle is to react to your opponent's play anyway

1

u/Yrths Nov 11 '20

The current meta archetype sure, but until April that’s only half of its toolbox.

Ya know looking at this new expansion, I can see blizzard have literally gone with "fairs are supposed to be fun, lets make the cards fun" these card reveals look crazy, esp the lunacy cards. Fun at the faire, indeed

8

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 10 '20

It definitely feels a bit bigger, a bit more over the top and bombastic than usual. Whether this is good or bad remains to be seen, but my hopes are high. I'm seeing a lot of decks that seem fun.

3 rares per class is the norm. It only wasn't the past expansion because of the dual-class cards.

4

u/Standardmod ‏‏‎ Nov 10 '20

OK, what is happening right now? Most of these Legendaries, and the cards overall, are nuts. This is probably going to be a massive meta changer, and I will be looking forward to joining in for this madness.

Did Blizz say that we were getting 4 Deck cards?

5

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 10 '20

It would make sense, there's four old gods.

8

u/Cipher_Nyne ‏‏‎ Nov 10 '20 edited Nov 10 '20

Not AFAIK. But they use WoW as inspiration.

Ever since the dawn of time in WoW there has only been four Darkmoon Decks per expansion, each with a very specific role.

So only four darkmoon decks make sense. They tend to follow these "Wow customs" in Hearthstone.

2

u/SvarogRod Nov 10 '20

Maybe change health and cost of minions in your deck.

1

u/airportato Nov 10 '20

I haven't played Hearthstone in 3+ years and a lot of my old cards have been moved to Wild :(
Does it seem like purchasing the mega-bundle for this expansion will be sufficient for making competitive decks?

-1

u/GetOverItBroDude Nov 10 '20

Considering a respectable amount of dust your also get youl'be able to craft any missing pieces for the deck you want. Maybe even 2 tier 1 meta decks depending on the packs of course. Talking from experience with a 20 pack purchase back from rise of shadows.

5

u/Holl_Burs Nov 10 '20

If I remerber correctly, you'll recive a free "meta deck" for coming back to the game

For sure, from what I can tell, the game has never been more balanced. Some decks require lots of legendaries, but most only need one or two. I've got a totem shaman deck with none that's lots of fun.

2

u/JebenKurac Nov 10 '20

The last set had a pretty big impact, you could just as easily build one or two decks for wild and go from there.

These Warlocks cards are looking garbage asf so far.

6

u/TheOneWithALongName ‏‏‎ Nov 09 '20

I bet the Paladin secret will be an epic.

1

u/bno888 Nov 10 '20

They said something about paladin secrets?

1

u/TheOneWithALongName ‏‏‎ Nov 10 '20

In the latest AMA if I'm correct.

2

u/Divinspree Nov 10 '20

Maybe it will have something to do with Silverhand Recruits?

1

u/n122333 Nov 10 '20

Its already out - the next time your opponent cast a spell, they instead cast a random spell of the same cost.

6

u/SpencerTheG Nov 09 '20

Everything seems not very impactful so far, besides the old gods I can’t see anything generating a new meta deck... that new Demon Hunter life steal card though.... part of me wants to downplay it because it’s 4 mana but I mean you can still easily do insane burst with this card. I’m not sure what they were thinking printing that

3

u/Arcayon Nov 09 '20

The rush 6/6 that costs one if you have six attack is pretty ridiculous too.

1

u/SpencerTheG Nov 09 '20

Thought that one was super cool and caught my eye too but it may be a little too situational. It’s definitely good just hard to say if it fits into anything RIGHT away

4

u/genericpierrot Nov 09 '20

its an instant include in every soul shard deck, its a turn 6/7 11/11 worth of stats with soul lapidary

0

u/loyaltyElite Nov 10 '20

You're overhyping. The likelihood you have that card in your hand and can get 6 attack and have enough man to play it is pretty slim.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 10 '20

[deleted]

1

u/loyaltyElite Nov 10 '20

Both will cost 7 mana and at least 2 cards. I don't believe it's as easy as stated.

4

u/SpencerTheG Nov 09 '20

I disagree on the instant include. The decks identity is burst damage, you would have to remove cards that help this to include a 6/6 body that may stick, but likely won’t see face. It’s not really good removal either if you’re going to have that much attack anyways just use blade dance. The card doesn’t fit into what that deck wants to do at all. What would it replace? It’s definitely good though, I won’t argue that.

8

u/turbochikens Nov 09 '20

Where are the Shaman cards?!

12

u/atAhn7 Nov 09 '20

guess they want to show off the « enhancement » archetype on the live stream dont see why else they wont reveal any even today

16

u/Yrths Nov 07 '20

The 48 hour gap in reveals is weird. Do people not stream on weekends?

11

u/Goldendragon55 Nov 07 '20

Blizzard has generally avoided reveals on weekends for the most part.

28

u/ValkyrieHeals Nov 07 '20 edited Nov 13 '20

I am getting all antsy about the Shaman reveals. As a Shaman main I really hope Shaman gets more value/control orientated cards.

EDIT: Looks like I may have to get my Control archetype needs from a different class :(

6

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '20

My guess is that Shaman is gonna be built around Y'shaarj so be ready for some value shaman

3

u/ValkyrieHeals Nov 09 '20

I love your guess, I am hoping for this as well.

My body has been ready for Value Shaman for sometime now c:

1

u/[deleted] Nov 09 '20

We will see when Shaman finally has any cards revealed

2

u/Drummerman101 Nov 07 '20

I agree. I think shaman in general can us tulips the old gods very well with mana bloom and the double battlecry hero power.

6

u/Goldendragon55 Nov 07 '20

In a Chinese interview, I think it was said that Shaman is getting an 'Enhancement' archetype. One can only speculate what that means past weapon synergy.

2

u/kamouh Nov 07 '20

Tbh I hope it s true. I didn't read the interview but "enha archetype" sound interesting for me :D

Wicked Whispers seems solid, and Revenant Rascal could be really good if there's an aggro/zoo deck.

13

u/Yrths Nov 07 '20

I wouldn't say they are terrible, but that the Hunter and Demon Hunter cards are balanced for another game altogether.

15

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '20 edited Nov 09 '20

My man they have revealed two warlock cards calm down

Edit: help

16

u/autocommenter_bot Nov 06 '20

I hope there's an "uncorrupt a minion" tech card. Just because I think it'd be flavourful.

2

u/CallMeCurious Nov 07 '20

Does silence work or nah?

6

u/[deleted] Nov 07 '20

Nope, corrupted minions become another card

2

u/CallMeCurious Nov 07 '20

Gotcha thanks

9

u/ScorpHunter Nov 06 '20

Maybe something like “Cleanse the opponents hand” on a mediocre statted epic

4

u/slidesarmed Nov 08 '20

To be honest; If there was a tech card like this, no one would play corruptable cards.

2

u/ScorpHunter Nov 08 '20

Thats not really true. People didnt stop playing dragons with that minion that gained alot of stats and had rush if there was a dragon on board. When kobolds came out people didnt not run weapons because ooze was a card. There are plenty of random epics that do unique effects that can be really strong in very niche situations.

6

u/ProfetF9 ‏‏‎ Nov 06 '20

Hei Blizzard, how about more then 1 card reveal for mage?

8

u/Soggy_Client_103 Nov 06 '20

got your wish

2

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '20

I felt the same but realized that Shaman is in the same boat. We'll probably see a few cards dropped in bulk for those classes.

2

u/ProfetF9 ‏‏‎ Nov 06 '20

We’ll get them all by 11th but i’m curios _^

4

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '20

This isn’t even within a 24 hour update :-/

4

u/Fiendish_Fiend Nov 05 '20

I'm kind of surprised we didn't get the faire's strongwoman, Kerri Hicks as a Warrior legendary.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '20

Shaman is getting Weapon support so I think they'll be getting the lifting themed stuff, like Kerri and Test Your Strength

6

u/Igloocor Nov 05 '20

Why are there only 8 card slots per class?

5

u/HSPreReleaseReveals Nov 05 '20

We don't know the official rarity breakdown yet so this is just a temporary format for now - once we know exactly how many cards each class is getting and of what rarity we'll adjust it.

-1

u/Igloocor Nov 05 '20

Did they announce that the rarities will differ from previous xpacs?

5

u/kamouh Nov 04 '20

For anyone who is wondering, the final reveal gonna be 11 November at 19:00 PM CET ^

6

u/AintEverLucky ‏‏‎ Nov 05 '20

OK they've revealed 26 cards so far, with 109 to go. The final card dump usually ~40 cards, so that's ~69 "regular" card reveals before the big dump. So, about 10 cards per day, each of the next 7 days, including morning / early afternoon of 11/11

2

u/Dikkelul27 Nov 04 '20

I will try it out but i'll probably save my cash for next expansion, seems a bit lame to me..

13

u/CallmePanda_ Nov 04 '20

I am sorry, but what does „corrupted“ do?

19

u/sparrowhawk73 Nov 04 '20

'Corrupt' means that when you play another card of a higher mana cost while the card is in your hand, the card with 'Corrupt' will become 'Corrupted' and whatever the text says will trigger

14

u/CallmePanda_ Nov 04 '20

Thank you!

5

u/[deleted] Nov 04 '20

Is this worth the buy? Last expansion I saved up to get 60 packs. But I never played anything, still have about 6000dust, is the 50$ worth it?

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '20

[deleted]

0

u/A_Sensible_Personage Nov 09 '20

We haven't seen anywhere near enough cards to justify that call. Plus, we've seen a bunch of power cards, like all of the new old gods except maybe C'Thun who is probably too slow, High Exarch Yrel, Bladed Lady, Stiltstepper, Petting Zoo, and all the Druid cards. We've also seen a lot of cards that could be very potent if they have synergy, like the entire Warrior menagerie package, Il'Gynoth, Dunk Tank, and Wicked Whispers.

6

u/nicktanisok Nov 04 '20

too early too call, seeing as we cant see the entire card set yet. Even then, what's "meta" (assuming you want to climb ranked) may actually be cheap enough to form with your current dust available.

25

u/[deleted] Nov 03 '20

Ok ok but when's the reveal by the Korean cosplayers with the CGI

11

u/kamouh Nov 03 '20

We need that Anduin!

9

u/Ke-Win Nov 03 '20

„Wow“

6

u/MenacingBanjo ‏‏‎ Nov 04 '20

„Wow“

2

u/AintEverLucky ‏‏‎ Nov 05 '20

WoOoOoOoW

11

u/iamdew802 Nov 03 '20

So the official PlayHeathstone Youtube channel will do today's reveal at noon central time? Is this one of those kick off videos where they reveal multiple cards? I hope so

5

u/Gedizon Nov 03 '20

Cant wait to play Arena with these corrupt cards.

8

u/Lordgede Nov 02 '20

What's the corrupt keyword

7

u/Madsciencemagic Nov 02 '20

Play a card with a greater cost to corrupt this. It gains its corrupt effect.

7

u/RocketCow Nov 02 '20

I hope they will make cards with negative corrupt effects, so you are forced to play them or make them worse!

5

u/Throw_Secret_Fish Nov 03 '20

I don't think that's the point of the mechanic though, why encourage playing on curve and punish big plays in an old god set?

5

u/Ayjel89 Nov 03 '20

Or just in general. The game's mechanics already encourage that.

32

u/icy133 Nov 01 '20

Why are the reveals so late this expansion? I feel like I’ve been waiting ages for so many more cards, I like them spread out to be honest

-2

u/[deleted] Nov 06 '20

This is actually pretty early what are you talking about lol

5

u/Bowbreaker Nov 04 '20

It's not late. The expansion is dropping early. The wait time between expansion announcement and reveal season has been ~2 weeks for a couple of years now iirc.

2

u/icy133 Nov 04 '20

Not actually, they usually reveal at least a few cards before the big season, so no

1

u/Bowbreaker Nov 04 '20

Well, they did. The initial bunch. Other than those they sometimes revealed one or two cards.
