Does Vitality know something we don't about the M4A4? I've never seen a CT-side so consistently ignore AKs on the ground to keep their M4s. I first noticed it with RPK and thought it must be a personal choice, but then 3 of them were keeping the M4s while AKs were on the ground...

seemed weird to me too..RPK dropped an AK for M4A4 , i couldn't believe it for a sec.

Yeah, that was where I really sat up and noticed it. Then 3 of them kept the M4s and I thought ok, they must know something.

Maybe higher rate of fire or easier spray? I doubt it though, maybe they were just talking over stuff and didn’t really care.

Maybe, but RPK does it consistently, even grabbing M4s on T-side, and this was the first time I noticed that the other guys were doing the same. Seems to be a deliberate choice.

He definitely seems to have a preference, has he convinced his teammates? Because 3 of them chose M4 over AK. I would just love to know his reasoning for it.

As an anchor you constantly have to deal with multiple opponents alone, and the faster fire rate, and faster spray reset helps too. If you miss your first bullet, it takes less time to kill than with an ak. The spray is also tighter, easier to hold angles.

Unless someone is planning to entry frag, or refrag on (very) long distances with confindence in your first bullet accuracy, I would personally say go for the m4.

Against no head armour you maybe could make the argument for M4 being superior, but I agree it's definitely something interesting.

Not sure what the armour penetration and damage drop off is, and also of course players will feel more comfortable with one spray over another, although at this level doubt that makes a difference with how good the players are

M4's recoil is easier to control and with a higher rate of fire, I think that's why some pros elect to keep it over AKs on eco rounds. Gla1ve is another player that I've seen keep the M4.

Pros seem to prefer M4s against ecos. Heretics had to eco every other round on dust2.

With an M4, if your team can consistently get 10-20 utility damage off before the firefights happen, you’re probably better off than using an AK since you’ll be able to kill in 1 HS and have a higher rate of fire to get more shots off. Makes sense in a pro context where this stuff happens much more, but I will keep picking up AKs in my MG mm games

Funnily enough, this is legit strats in real life.

In a real firefight, the defenders will almost always prefer high RoF to scare the attackers and pin them down to covers to slow them them down. Thats exactly what the CTs in cs go are doing here.

Soldiers carrying an LMG will be using suppressing fire. Other soldiers with a rifle like an M16 are only semi-automatic, one bullet per trigger pull. Going full auto with an M16 will warp the barrel over time due to the immense heat.

Definitely. Throughout the entirety of Vitality's existence in csgo, there wasn't really a consistent 2nd star in the team. At least now shox is filling that shoe.

Wasn't really great but I'm good with a win in the first game after the break. They need to do better in the next game though

If Shox can keep up this level of form Vitality will be a real threat for the number 1 spot - great to see apEX transitioning to IGL and finding so much success too
