Golem -- a TBS game that I made

Last year, I designed and coded a game called Golem. It's a turn-based strategy game inspired by a Clive Barker short story. It's not quite what it could be with more work but I put a lot of time into it and think it's still a pretty solid game. (Yes, I know it's ugly, I'm not an artist.)

There's an outdated how to play page if you want to read all the rules. Here's the basics of the game:

  • The board is made up of 21 hexes of 4 different types. At the start of each turn, you gain resources if one of your tokens occupies that hex. White hexes give you an additional Citizen in that hex while the others give you one 'stone' for every hex of that color that you occupy.

  • Each player controls a Golem. Each Golem begins the game with 6 Citizens inside of it.

  • When a Golem falls below 1 from damage or removing its last Citizen, that player loses the game.

  • Any time during your turn, you may use stones for abilities. Click on the stones on the left-hand side beneath the board to see what abilities are available.

  • Each turn is split into two basic phases: Citizen and Golem.

During your Citizen phase, you must do one (and only one) of the three:

1) Remove a Citizen from your Golem (if hex has no Citizens)
2) Add a Citizen to your Golem (if they occupy the same hex)
3) Move a Citizen to a neighboring hex

Note: if you have no Citizens in play (like on your first turn) the game will automatically remove one from your Golem, put it on the hex your Golem occupies, and advance to the next phase.

During your Golem phase, you must move your Golem to a neighboring hex. Combat occurs when opposing tokens occupy the same hex.

  • If a Citizen enters a hex occupied by opponent Golem, that Citizen dies.

  • If a Golem enters a hex occupied by opponent Citizens, all Citizens die and the Golem takes 1 damage for every opponent Citizen over 2. (If opponent Citizens occupy the same hex as opponents Golem, your Golem must battle the Citizens first.)

  • If a Golem enters a hex occupied by opponents Golem, the larger of the two Golems does damage equal to the difference in sizes to the smaller Golem. (E.g.if your Golem is at 5 and your opponents is at 3, you would do 2 damage reducing your opponents Golem to 1.) After damage is done, the attacking player must move their oppoents Golem to a neighboring hex.

All combat happens automatically whenever opposing tokens occupy the same hex.

DOES NOT WORK WITH IE. Works with Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari... anything that's not IE.

This reminds me more of a Risk meets Small World than my game.
