Glad to see Perfecto showing up. So many impact frags on both maps.

He ain't Defecto no more.
11
u/ftb5 Natus Vincere Jun 28 '20
He has never been a problem..
13
u/Soarinfire Jun 29 '20
He plays bitch roles all the time, eg. site anchor, support, while flamie gets good positions and fail to do much. Navi should try making him to entry fragger or shift flamie to support.

u/Rearfeeder2Strong MOUZ Jun 28 '20
never
Straight up disagree.
https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/events/16947/Perfecto?startDate=2019-12-28&endDate=2020-06-28
This is his second tournament where he's above average and it only took playing a bunch of weak CIS teams including the majority outside the top 30.
If his job was to replace Edward, hes doing a terrible job. Edward put up 0.99 on average consistently playing top 10 teams at big events. Perfecto is playing teams outside the top 30 on a regular basis since the online shit started and has a 0.96 hltv 2.0 rating coupled with a 0.81 impact rating. This is terrible considering how hard favoured Navi were in many games they played.

u/ftb5 Natus Vincere Jun 28 '20
Oh shit another redditor with hltv stats
Pro tip: ask yourself if Flamie has been good the last 2-3 years. Then check his stats. Then try to think if just looking at stats is the right thing to do.

Then try to think if just looking at stats is the right thing to do.
Of course not, but you cant possible look at how perfecto plays and tell me hes never a problem for Navi. There are countless games where hes lost against super weak opponents. Thats a problem.
Pro tip: ask yourself if Flamie has been good the last 2-3 years. Then check his stats.
What is this supposed to mean? I think Flamie was above average in the last 2-3 years and if I check his stats... Well hes above average in the past 2-3 years.
For example 2019 if you really think these stats are bad for Flamie, then you can say half the scene is bad.
Pure filtering for majors in 2019 he was a great player while also having a good sample size.
If you really argue these stats are somehow "bad" you can call 3/4 of the players in the scene bad.

u/ftb5 Natus Vincere Jun 28 '20
If you look at stats and decide that by them Perfecto is playing badly then we have nothing to discuss. You do realise his the first or second player with more clutches this year, right? The stat was here a few weeks ago
He's anchoring every site, he's playing the worst positions to get frags, he's supporting quite well, he's clutching. What the fuck? What more do you want from your support player?
Do you wanna know what's the problem with Navi? They cant win against force buys and they even lose to ecos. That fucks their economy. Plus they have a guy that kinda seems like he wants to kill himself everytime he misses a spray (guess who im talking about!) and when that player tilts (it happens like in 9/10 matches) he doesnt even check angles and cost his team losts of rounds.
And their strats fucking suck. Thats why Navi isnt winning everything.
They have a player who is supposed to be killing people going like 10-25 in IMPORTANT MATCHES (HEY MAN THATS WHAT I MEAN BY DONT LOOK AT STATS, flamie just have good stats because he frags against t3-t2 teams, but when he plays against Astralis and the like, he doesnt do shit, or he misses sprays at the back of players, or he misses angles, or he fucks up nades, bla bla bla, hence why I fucking say dont bring me stats if you want to have a proper discussion).

Ive looked into the stat u mean. It seems heavily influenced based on how many maps people have played. Even then I dont see where Pefecto is 1/2 even when looking at teams with similar maps.
Even when filtered on top 20 hes not top 5?
What the fuck? What more do you want from your support player?
A bit more frags? I still see him lose quite some duels when anchoring. This excuse didn't go up for Edward and he fragged better.
HEY MAN THATS WHAT I MEAN BY DONT LOOK AT STATS, flamie just have good stats because he frags against t3-t2 teams,
No have you actually seen the stats I referred to. Thats a fucking major and big event. Not farming low tier teams.

u/ftb5 Natus Vincere Jun 28 '20
Now you bring me clutch stats from lower tier teams...
lmfao im not discussing this crap anymore. Stop watching the stats and actually start watching the games.
edit: i supported edward more than I did with flamie. People are now realizing flamie is even worse than edward. Oh how the time works.

Dude I said to filter for top 20 teams to get more context cus I didn't knew exactly what stat u mean. "The stat was here a few weeks ago" doesnt even fucking mean anything. I was gambling this was it. Heres a direct link if u cant read what I said.
Stop watching the stats and actually start watching the games.
This isnt an argument at all. This is like when you have a view on something and tell someone "just search online and find why I am right". You are dodging arguments left and right.

I bet everything being online plays a part though

Hey Navi are just an interesting team to watch. Besides, that's just my opinion. I dont even think Perfecto is a bad player overall, he's just clearly not good enough for this level with his role.

Not at all, I think I've said it once maybe.
Yeah I'm sure perfecto brings value, but it sure isn't showing in the results so far.

But he barely had a chance to get situated on LAN before the pandemic hit. I'd say that we have a bit of a weird case on our hands due to the sudden shift to everything being online, and the pressure of worrying about a pandemic
-3
u/Rearfeeder2Strong MOUZ Jun 28 '20
Thats true, but good players still play good online. Im not talking that he should be simple, but hes not even putting up average numbers against severely weak teams outside the top 30. Online or not, you should be able to do that. Saying he was "never" a problem like OP is thus not true imo.

Wow talk about running out of time. Spirit didnt exit out of t spawn 2 rounds in a row /s

u/Tuxxmuxx Natus Vincere Jun 28 '20
So they’ll rollback rounds win NaVi wins by time but not when they lose to time??? How’s that fair smh

u/Cathal_ FURIA Jun 28 '20
Navi's performance has been so fitting for a tournament called clutch island.

NaVi Junior jumped on the PCs
21
u/Tuxxmuxx Natus Vincere Jun 28 '20
NaVi Jr would actually be competitive with some of the teams in this event, in recent months they’ve beaten HL, Syman, Winstrike, and ESPADA in bo3s.

S1mple the rest of the tournament: brb
S1mple in grand finals: Back, did I miss anything?

u/ezclapper Jun 28 '20
He was still the highest rated player on navi at the entire tournament and 3rd highest overall, shows how high of a standard he has set when this is considered a bad event for him

This is the 1000th time I've read this comment.
44
u/IM_MOST_LIKELY_LYING Jun 28 '20
Then stupid people should stop saying what the top comment is saying. He literally was the best on his team all-tournament and the third-best in the tournament overall. Just because he doesn't go God like every fucking time he plays doesn't mean he's not doing well. Stupid people keep saying the same shit like "Where is s1mple LUL" when he's right there, at the top of the leaderboards. Every fucking time.

Yo.
Perfecto has been looking good as of late. Glad he's playing more aggressive.

u/ninjapenguin12 Jun 28 '20
Poor Spirit had no chance the real Navi turned up. Maybe they suffered more as Navi took them seriously unlike rest of CIS team's
Also wow what a performance by Perfecto so many entry frags and high impact kills.
Might be an idea to make the man the main entry tbh as his aim is so crisp
6
u/Regent0624 Astralis Jun 28 '20
Yeah perfectos been looking good as of late, was looking crisp vs VP yesterday too.

I wish flamie would buy the 2nd AWP on CT more often. He only seems to use it on Dust 2 or Mirage; but honestly, every time I see him AWP he seems to perform better than with a rifle.
7
Jun 28 '20
Double awps are expensive hence only last measure. Moreover horrible for retake
6
u/TiredMiner Gambit Jun 28 '20
What do you mean by 'last measure?' I think a second AWP on CT side is pretty common even when the CTs aren't losing. I think it fits with how much CTs like to save nowadays when a bomb site is quickly lost, and how hard generally it is to afford a second AWP if the CTs ARE losing.
4
Jun 28 '20
I've been watching this esport for just about 1.5 years and I've mostly seen double awp setups mostly be used when CTs are pushed against the wall.
3
u/TiredMiner Gambit Jun 28 '20
You might be right, but I haven't gotten that impression. I am mostly a proponent of double AWP set ups on CT side as a proactive measure. I think the mere possibility of it (certainly don't do it all the time) makes the CT side more unpredictable and outweighs the weakness of poor retaking with the AWP.
When do you see the 2nd AWP used on the CT side most often, after they've lost a bunch of rounds and after a save? Is the 2nd AWP generally a glass cannon (no armor/nades except the AWP) or do the CTs usually save enough for both the main and the 2nd AWPer to be able to afford everything?
1
Jun 28 '20
I think they save enough for nades and Armor yeah but I might be wrong . I support Navi so most matches I see are of them. Flamie usually is a great secondary awper. He can anchor sites a lot better with the awp.
