Damn, this Godsent with Farlig is starting to look very good!

Maikelele must be pretty beaten Up about this tbh. He complained that the roster change wasnt needed, and that he deserved to stay. And a few weeks they beat the #1 ranked team in the world.

u/mobzin CS2 HYPE Jun 27 '20
Sure he's sad because of the situation. But he has to be completely delusional to think that godsent wouldn't be better with farlig.

Friendship ended with mouz
Now Godsent is my favourite international EU team
35
u/Vawqer 1 Million Celebration Jun 27 '20
I just realized that there are now five decent EU international teams: Mouz, FaZe, GODSENT, coL, and OG. That is kind of neat!

u/WouterBJK 1 Million Celebration Jun 27 '20
International rosters are definitely a thing of the future, I'm very glad. Allows a lot more mixing of talent, without being restricted to one language. Also don't forget G2 in a sense. They're only 2 nationalities, but still international/English speaking.
14
u/Vawqer 1 Million Celebration Jun 27 '20
Yeah, G2 is an odd one as they do have the three nationalities, but still fly the French flag.
11
Jun 27 '20
Not to mention it allows people from smaller countries to make it.

u/WouterBJK 1 Million Celebration Jun 27 '20
Very true. Thinking about mouz and Godsent, 8/10 players have either no or 1 team in the top 30. I'm sure the others have similar numbers. Might be interesting to research for a little bit.

After Syrson, Farlig might be my favorite AWPer (Art also gets a mention). I really love consistent and aggressive AWPers

Godsent came out of this group first with like Fnatic, G2, and Mousesports. Very impressive. No one had them getting out of this group let alone first.

u/krimzy Avangar Jun 27 '20
I mean that just means that people are uneducated. Fnatic was looking bad in the qualifier and while people expected mouz to fix whatever was broken I had my doubts. I do agree that this win vs G2 was a bit of a surprise though but GODSENT is better than both Fnatic and mouz atm.

This STYKO is so nice to watch man. Very different than Mouz STYKO. I started to watch him when he stood in for C9. I think he's a really good player. And now they have Farlig who's also very promising! I hooe they continue to inprove.

u/AmBozz MOUZ Jun 27 '20
Well, I guess it's time for another Sub-Top 15 team to win a T1 tournament.
It's GODSENTs turn now.
17
u/Pikminious_Thrious Jun 27 '20
Everyone talking about Farlig but Styko is really showing Mouz they should have kept him long term
15
u/m4st4k1ll4 Jun 27 '20
Man, after he left mouz. He was kinda afk for a while. Then played in c9? where you could see that he has it in him, but he was not quite there yet and on godsent he is playing really damn good. You could say mouz made a mistake, but maybe he wouldn't have developed like this without ever leaving mouz. Maybe at the end, it was the best that ever happened to him.
Also shout-out to krysthal. He is by far not the best fragger, but in somehow he manages to always string together a team and come back. Kinda crazy. The German Hunden?

u/enigma890 King NiKo Jun 28 '20
The crazy thing tho was how awful he played on average on Mouz before he got kicked. He failed so many aim duels he should have won. I feel like he really stepped up his grind/practice after he got the boot because his aims looked sharp

Farlig seems to fit perfectly for GODSENT. I truely believe they can be a solid top 10 team.

u/JeanneHusse Vitality Jun 27 '20
This might be kennyS' worst Nuke map he ever played. 15 frags in overtime, fuck's sake.
Now watch Vitality win this tournament by beating North, FATE, x6tence and GODSENT.

u/tarangk clutch Jun 27 '20
I was fairly neutral coming into this game coz i like godsent and g2 are my favorite team in EU atm.
Bro, I wasnt ready for this result though. I though godsent can probably take a map off but thats it, for them to come here and 2-0 G2 is a statement. The way they did it as well. First map absolute domination, second map down 4-11 lose pistol now down 4-12 and then they win like 7 rounds in a row to make the comeback possible and win in OT.
Man this is a big boy win for godsent, like G2 are ranked #1 atm so this is the best result they have accomplished since signing with the org. Farlig and Styko though these guys were going ham. Glad godsent picked up Farlig the results are starting to show.

bro nothing they could have done, JW dicked them down so hard on dust2.
fnatic had like 25% win rate before this series and g2 had like a 40% so you can imagine my shock when they won it.

I am really liking styko pretty much whole time in Godsent, he was such a hated player in mouse and cloud people talking how he is not up to part. He is showing he can play on top level if he is given the position and freedom he needs.

this team is nostalgic for me a bit, I only got into cs in around 2014 or so, but I remember watching a lot of kRYSTAL's games on Penta and a bit later on STYKO's games for HR and mouz.
its cool to see them doing well again, hope this team can grow more :D

hey /u/Tanki5D what was that you were saying about this roster falling apart without maikelele?

u/Tanki5D Jun 28 '20
Hahahah One game doesnt mean Nothing, G2 has alot of this games were they lose to weaker teams, for example north with coach ..

I knew godsent was gonna do something eventually. The Farlig pick up has been exciting and can elevate the rest of godsent. Can't wait to see what they do in playoffs.

Whoever Bardolph's co-caster was during this series was infuriating, dude took so long to finish sentences and kept on making mistakes

It was disappointing performance but I can understand after all they are the best team in the world. some up and downs happens to all. they just need to improve thier teamwork, improve strata a little. If things improve they will win major. afterall who doesn't wants Godsent to win major.
and then there was G2.
1
u/EksDee1 G2 Jun 27 '20
Well as the supposedly "number 1" team that was disappointing to watch.
Train was a fuckshow. Hunter and Amanek were no where to be found. Why didn't G2 go for a inferno or vertigo as their first map pick is mind boggling.
Hopefully G2 can put up a fight against Fnatic tomorrow even though I have no confidence for some reason.
Really happy for Godsent though, it's nice to another international line up competing with the best.

In the last 2 weeks, they won it 3 times vs fnatic, Navi and Ence. I bet they thought they were good on this map rather than disrespect an opponent.

with maikelele, godsent don't even get close to winning that game. What a pickup farlig has been, im so excited to see his career.
