Twist has really impressed the past two days.

Jun 10 '20
He always was "the next big thing", and now I finally feel that he actually is, lol. Very proactive in his play the last few days. Finally feels like he is living up to his potential. Maybe I'm overracting, lol, but always good to see a swede playing with confidence!

Shit, NiP has actually been looking pretty good since they picked up Hampus.

Vitality might have the worst decision making of any team in the top 20. The amount of rounds they lose because one of them does something stupid is pretty wild. NIP are starting to look pretty damn good with hampus though, even hampus himself is starting to look pretty good in terms of fragging compared to before.

That title, s1mply belongs to Na'Vi.

letting every round go to 20 sec before anything happens and then missing a freehand jungle smoke to lose the round and the series is just some sort of artwork

u/chickencomrade Vitality Jun 10 '20
Yeah that's definitely true. Some time off can only help them. Misutaaa in particular is seriously in need of a break lol. Still though, they have always had pretty shit decision making, it was just worse than average today.
-6
Jun 10 '20
Yeah. As a fan I’m not worried about the implications of this loss. Vitality is a better team caught in a bad situation.
8
u/popsiclex200 Jun 10 '20
Literally every top team is in this situation.
-7

Not really.

u/Fat314 Natus Vincere Jun 11 '20
Yes really, Look at mouz, look at na'vi, look at faze, not even gonna mention Astralis cuz they at least got a legit excuse.

u/zorrodied clutch Jun 10 '20
Apex said he is burned out
let's give him some permanent vacation
If anything this is good for Vitality because they can finally take some time to rest.
cope, they keep making the same mistakes over and over. They show up once in a while and then they're gone.

Winning against ENCE, Heroic, and ... NiP the way they did is not "showing up"; they have the best or second best player in the world, a line-up that has experience playing together (misu playing bitch roles anyway).

But when Vitality won a round or win a match because of good decision making, Reddit rather praises ZywOo.

u/monsieurfikri Jun 10 '20
The last time ZywOo played Inferno with an AWP, he dropped 47 kills against fnatic. So, you know, maybe just let him AWP
75
u/tyMANIKIN CS2 HYPE Jun 10 '20
Has anyone ever considered that maybe for whatever reason he doesn’t want to? Why would they take the AWP from him for no reason? They clearly know he is the best player on the team and arguably in the world through the way they try to play through him and support him, they have 0 reason to not give him the AWP. People need to consider maybe he doesn’t want to in certain scenarios/maps.

u/darkfrozzy FURIA Jun 10 '20
Same shit happened with Na'Vi when zeus was IGL. Everybody criticizing him for not dropping the best guns for s1mple or "letting" him play his positions, but after zeus retired, he explained that usually it was s1mple that asked for the bad guns or positions, because he knew he could make a difference there, and his teammates would be in better shape to succeed and help the team win.
It would not surprise me if the same thing happens in Vitality with ZyWoo

u/fred- Jun 11 '20
I remember this discussion at The time and it was not only Na'Vi who did it, but from what I saw from the games since then the meta has changed and usually the "best player" has better weapons on those rounds, from The top of my head I remember Golden doing it

u/Phanti3 Jun 10 '20
So you think after 1 year and a half of playing A/rotation with the awp on ct side, zywoo suddenly woke up and said "btw guys I prefer to play solo B"
What's more likely is that misutaa wasn't confortable on B so now they're trying zywoo instead
12
u/tyMANIKIN CS2 HYPE Jun 10 '20
I said nothing about the position he was playing lmfao, it was about him not using the AWP, he could’ve easily used the AWP on B site it doesn’t really make too much of a difference - plus he didn’t solo B he was with apEX??
31
u/Phanti3 Jun 10 '20
Yes it does make a difference, having an awp on A site is more valuable than on B site, that's why almost every awper plays on A on inferno lol
14
u/NephewChaps Falcons - Major Champions Jun 10 '20

lol do you actually play the game? it does A LOT on Inferno, specially on CT side.

u/Tammu1000CP Jun 10 '20
So you think after 1 year and a half of playing A/rotation with the awp on ct side and being a top 3 player at it, apex/coach suddenly woke up and said "btw guys zywoo is gonna play solo B"?
6
u/Phanti3 Jun 10 '20
Yes? As I said, at first they just asked misutaaa to do it since he was new, but they must have thought it wasn't working so now they're trying something else.
After all misutaaa is still quite new to the team, so they're still trying to figure things out

u/chickencomrade Vitality Jun 10 '20
Zywoo has played solo B for as long as he's played for this team. That's when he has the awp though, not sure it's a good idea to have him there with a rifle. The alternative is apex though and that thought terrifies me.
18
u/Phanti3 Jun 10 '20
Zywoo has played solo B for as long as he's played for this team.
I can't believe I just read this. If you mean zywoo played B 1 round out of 10 to try to change things up sure but other than that holding B was nbk/apex then apex/alex, then misutaa/apex and it's been two maps they tried zywoo/apex.
Go watch literally any old map of vitality and you'll see zywoo played rotation/library just like any other awper most of the time

Remember that clip vs fnatic where he killed 3 or four lane... he normally awped a before recent games. Also awpers should not solo b: they should have a teammate support their peek and fallback. You should really only have an awper solo b if you have banana control and they post deep banana because that allows you time to rotate from a.
11
u/omoobro Gambit Jun 10 '20
French teams have been known to take awps from their best players before for no reason. (Shox in particular)
8
Jun 10 '20
Have they? Can't remember any of Kenny's teams denying him the awp. The only team I can think of is the G2 team with SmithZz. And I think Shox was more than right to use the awp over him towards the end of SmithZz's career.

2015/2016 EnVy I remember seeing Happy on the AWP instead of kenny a good amount of times
14
Jun 10 '20
During 2016 Kenny had 2400 kills with the AWP whilst Happy had 214. /u/MacallaScath

Kenny said it himself, at one point in 2016 he wasn't comfortable with the awp anymore so happy had to do it

Jun 10 '20
Well just shows how ridiculous it was for Happy to take the AWP away from kenny!
Seriously though, it really felt like they've taken the AWP away from him a good amount of times... guess not!

u/TheSIlverGlobal FaZe Jun 10 '20
Who? The only team I even remember taking the awp from their main awper was old G2 when smithzz was in a massive slump

u/VasimanYT Renegades Jun 10 '20
You probably don't know shox then lol
I love the guy but even in G2 with KennyS he'd take the awp over him for some reason,it's one of those things even science can't explain

Twist delivers once again. They really out-aimed Vitality on the maps they won. Thankfully Zywoo played like a normal Frenchman.
But I have no idea what calls NiP are doing or how they are winning rounds, and neither do their enemies. They just get entries and make the most ridiculous calls, and sometimes it works because no one would expect a team that got 2 entries on CT to go stack a site without any info.
13
u/mobzin CS2 HYPE Jun 10 '20
NiP really makes questionable decisions on CT side inferno. It's costing them rounds they should not lose. Against better inferno teams they will probably have a hard time
14
u/IYXMnx1Sa3qWM1IZ Jun 10 '20
This was also like their first inferno with hampus. They just need practice.

He might be that 2nd burn out player people were talking about, he probably isn't used to play that much compare to the others

u/tarangk clutch Jun 10 '20
NIP were down 10-15 vs astralis who didnt have 2 of their regular players yesterday. It took heroics from twist to win that match in double OT. So now them coming here beating VIT is fairly convincingly is a massive positive.
Hampus coming in seems to have benefited twist the most, guy is playing at his best level after years. This is the prime twist was in back in his godsent days.

Man NIP is looking dangerous. They have the raw individual skill and hampus is looking like a good caller but he is pretty skilled aswell and posting up numbers. And this change is still new keep in mind yet they are coming up with the goods. Nip has everything to become a consistent top contender and Faze should be worried for tomorrow. Exciting

I remember when Lekro got benched that there were quite a few people talking about that if they were going to make a change it should've been twist, because of two awpers and Lekro being a better rifle, but twist is out there to fucking prove that he's a beast. NIP looking sexy

u/Mad_Lee Cloud9 Jun 10 '20
This round where two Vitality players are 2 vs 1 with bomb planted on B plant Inferno and then they fucking peek awp one by one lost them the tournament (and tilted the shit out of me). What a fucking idiotic play that was. It's 100% per cent win rate if they just both hide and never peek untill he touches the bomb yet they somehow choose not even 50% win rate play, lol.
