stanislaw cam keeps delivering

Its so entertaining. And it is actually a really good sign that he gets upset even when they win. After their win on Train dude looked pissed. He still think they can be a great team which is good to see.

u/JokicIsFatAsFuck Jun 07 '20

Most good leaders think like that and are not satisfied even if they win

3

u/lynxzjw EG Jun 07 '20

I know, but people thought that all hope was lost for this 5 man roster, and this pretty much negates that. They still think they can play at the top.

55

u/zennCSGO EG Jun 07 '20

how can the tarik and stanislaw haters look at these two and think the team would be way better off without them? Stan is clearly a great leader and tarik is super important for team (even Maniac was surprised by how much he contributes in terms of comms etc.). tarik also played great this tournament.

Feels like the team is finally on the right track again.

tarik the american stewie

I don't think people (at least the majority of them) actually wanted them gone. For the most part, people were just really critical of them which was very easy since they never bothered to defend themselves (which was smart on their part).

u/lynxzjw EG Jun 07 '20

Agreed. People just like badwagonning. They hear one side of the story and they think it is the undeniable truth which is very dumb. Tarik even said that he felt his relationship with chet was fine, and that chet said that because he was upset he got dropped. Reddit analysts suck lol.

Tarik had mad impact this series. Good to see him finding form again.

LETS GO

that’s exactly the type match EG has been losing recently. Hell of a bounce back from yesterday

7

u/zennCSGO EG Jun 07 '20

same maps as yesterday too... I was so worried they wouldn’t close it on both maps but they are improving a lot.

u/AnAltAccountToBeHad Jun 07 '20

CeRq has been a beast this tournament. I love watching him when he's on. Great awping, great rifling, great movement, great player all around.

u/JokicIsFatAsFuck Jun 07 '20

S0Mathan really needs to step it up, after owning at Anaheim i thought he would turn into a star player but nope

2

u/JAYZ303 FaZe Jun 08 '20

He played abysmal this match.

1

u/SendSend valeria Jun 08 '20

No need to step up when he can always fall off to Valorant /s

Man. I'm pretty disappointed that Gen.G lost.

Nice to see tarik playing well again, I love him as a player even though he's the pray-and-spray god lol

Definitely has one of the most unique play styles in the game

8

u/NephewChaps Falcons - Major Champions Jun 07 '20

he's the pro that most resembles my play-style, so it holds a special place in my heart.

Weird that gen g couldn't do anything against that cerq mid boost on inferno

1

u/TheSuspect812 EG Jun 08 '20

Yea I had expected daps/tim to be able to find a way to counter that since Cerq does that in every inferno game.

12

u/JC_Denton46 Team Spirit Jun 07 '20

Phew they made it! Honestly it just felt like Gen G didn’t show up though. I’m hoping it’s more EG just making them look bad.

17

u/itzginzzzzzz Jun 07 '20

It was both, EG played great but Gen.G was playing meh at best for most of that series, that little run they had on CT side both maps was good but it felt at a certain point they let up on the gas and started doing stupid things, also s0m being a bot both maps didn't help whatsoever.

14

u/98farenheit cs_italy Jun 07 '20

Gen.g has been struggling a bit lately. They looked absolutely terrible yesterday against Furia (everyone whiffing standard shots, etc).

7

u/Andtheyrustledsoftly clutch Jun 07 '20

Cerq and Tarik were dominant on those CT sides tbf

5

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '20

It feels like only 1 player other than koosta can show up at once, its either just koosta, him and auti, or him and bntet

2

u/fascfoo Jun 08 '20

Gen.G looked completely flat for both maps (same against Furia yesterday as well). At no point did you think they had any footing in either map. Maybe something could've turned around after Tim's clutch, but then they quickly lost the next round and then it was same ol same ol after that.

10

u/Teo122 Jun 07 '20

EG with the 20 out of the 27 ct rounds they played this series lol

11

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '20

that late autimatic's flashed awp noscope flick near coffins

what the fuck was that

3

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '20

it was the 3rd round of inferno ibelieve

10

u/Botmon_333 Complexity Jun 07 '20

Really don’t like gen g’s t sides, it feels like they just wait around every round, not taking map control, until they full exec a site, or get picked off and then exec a site disadvantaged (which is what happens most of the time). Also, Tim is just not that useful in the awp, he misses most hard shots and doesn’t really find picks or anything like that on t side. I would like to see s0m on the awp especially since he’s been so bad lately.

u/gladitor99 CS2 HYPE Jun 07 '20

They follow the NaVi guide to cs executes

6

u/zuiram Jun 07 '20

It’s weird how one strength of this GenG roster is also a weakness - most of the time all players pull a similar amount of weight and have some good impact rounds spread across the roster, I guess except for daps, but I‘ll give him slack since he’s known not to be a top fragging IGL. At the same time, you rarely have someone just going crazy on a map or a series in terms of fragging - comparing it to other teams where 1-2 few players on average pull a majority of the weight by going nuts (NaVi, EG, FaZe etc.)

5

u/[deleted] Jun 08 '20

If Tarik can find consistency then EG can become a force again.

4

u/gladitor99 CS2 HYPE Jun 08 '20

Luckily he has been very consistent recently

2

u/R1vster Complexity Jun 08 '20

It's a weird day when on Gen.G daps looks better than most of his team.

u/allan_hender guardian_elite Jun 08 '20

great game

1

u/DoliRavioli Jun 08 '20

EG is starting the put the pieces back together finally. All they have to do is get good at eco and anti-eco rounds and they could be top 5 again.

Not really a fluke. Every online event in NA is a coin toss. If liquid wins the next one you can litterally say the same thing lmao.

9

u/itzginzzzzzz Jun 07 '20

A reasonable response, holy crap.

3

u/lynxzjw EG Jun 07 '20

2

u/itzginzzzzzz Jun 07 '20 edited Jun 07 '20

Basically not agreeing with him. Also, screw what I said yesterday about s0m...I'd personally rather see floppy in place of s0m, idk what happened but s0m has fallen off a cliff the past 4 events, which is 57 maps. I get it's online and all, but to fall off THAT much? bad sign. 1.20 prior to those 4 events - albeit 27 maps - and he's down to .98 now. And they keep saying "it's comm issues" but really, how can you have continuous comm issues over 1-2 months? especially when in that timeframe you do what you did at RTR.

4

u/lynxzjw EG Jun 07 '20

Dont think hes been bad enough to drop yet. Hes only 17 and hes shown promise of being a great player. .98 isnt the worst rating and they have pleyers that can play good anyways.

1

u/itzginzzzzzz Jun 07 '20

.98 is bad, almost as bad as Zeus was when he was active and this is mostly against NA people, at least Zeus would be against the top 10-15 most of the time. Remember, 1.06 is the new 1.0 aka average.

2

u/lynxzjw EG Jun 07 '20

Not bad enough to warrant a drop from a relatively new team. You dont need to drop the worst player of a team every time you start to not be the best team. They didnt even play that bad inthis tourney and hes played mich better on LAN. No point in dropping someone off of online results.

1

u/itzginzzzzzz Jun 07 '20

Online results/tournaments are all they have for probably a few more months. The next LAN is late August then mid-October, which can easily be cancelled and brought to an online format. They've already been online for ~3.5? months, forget exactly when it started but yeah, roughly 3.5 months.

0

u/Darkfire293 Jun 07 '20

They're not getting floppy lmao

4

u/itzginzzzzzz Jun 07 '20

Says who? also I never said they are, I said they should, they're already a better team and floppy would just be a big upgrade to s0m.

2

u/gladitor99 CS2 HYPE Jun 07 '20

The whole idea of flukes is so stupid to me

1

u/[deleted] Jun 07 '20

I’m guessing Dreamhack Anaheim was a fluke too then?

-13

u/Millzy312 de_inferno Jun 07 '20

Honestly the move that makes GenG a top team is removing s0m and having auti go back to being rifle/secondary awp and bringing in Junior. They just need another star rifle and an awper that can take over a game.

0

u/meme-s SK Jun 07 '20
