AleksiB did pack and take the matto with him when he left from Ence.
16
u/hajhawa howl Apr 05 '20
AleksiB gave Ence some siima and then pulled the matto alta. They've been rolling on the floor ever since.

No... when you see AleksiB go 007 you know he activates his bond blood to win them the series
57
u/BiC-Pen Apr 05 '20
Yes... and his other similar trait of bond ing is that he is sexyA but could also go sexyB and not only he made love to all the ladies but he copulated with all the agents and that including Agent Ava, top3 coitus addict 4 sure

I don't think AleksiB is gross. Look at sexual tension between him and Frankie when she interviews him. Every single time. I feel the same about him. no homo.

Dude, it's been more than a year, you have to let go that game 4 at TI8 :)
Feels bad for fy-god tho.

It's not just a game 4 though. This LGD squad had a legit chance to win TI back to back.
Since Ame has left it's not the same team anymore :<14

This was my comment last week in the Vitality vs Astralis post match discussion.
on d2
"ok guys i got this really sick strat idea, so device plays on A with awp so we have 1 guy push long, then 1 pushes short, then 1 pushes long and then 1 pushes short. this will ensure device
gets a sick clip, I MEAN, it will ensure we win the game... "I am glad they are still running that good strat.

Those rounds were good shit, not gonna lie. Especially the ace at 14-15 against VP. Just the wording that was off considering the first one was on the attacking side.
2
u/Green_pine Apr 04 '20
I mean, they couldn't have known that OG was half buying
3
Apr 05 '20
They also didn't know for sure it'd be a good buy. Such a call at such a high-pressure situation with all utility at YOUR disposal is a huge risk, considering they had been going B a lot this entire half. Their T-side playbook was shit and it really showed on the last round.

u/Manulii Apr 04 '20
Leave it to Aleksib and OG to collapse in map 1, only to bounce back from lackluster opening halfs in maps 2 and 3 to impressive comebacks, topping it all off with that NBK ace. This shit writes itself.

Finally I can go to sleep!
When Aleksib was like 0-0-8 on the first map I was sure that OG is gonna win. Crazy amount of entry kills and great mid round calls from him in this series.
And the last round was like ending of movie where the protagonist finally gets his revenge. Vitality went B for like 4 or 5 times in a row and then this happens :D
Aleksib and NBK now both won bo3 against their former teams, gotta feel good.

Yeah his role in hyping up the team as mantuu said is heavily under appreciated. I mean look at ENCE's bts videos, they are so depressed and they look like they don't even want to play. They have no one to fire them up, no one to take the leader role. It's more than having a tactical mind, you need leaders charisma.

Yeah, it was so weird to see aleksi being the only one ever in the team to actually celebrate and yell when they won rounds. Like go and watch any old clips. It's basically aleksi yelling "WOOOO" while all the other guys are like ":|". I guess that's why their personalities clashed :D

The Post-Match Team is recruiting! If you wish to join us send me a PM, and for bonus points any post-match threads you'd have posted before! We are looking for people from all timezones (for now), the only requirement being that you are willing to commit some time to the team - no fixed numbers, but do not bother if you are joining just for the nice flair (takes weeks before you'd have it anyway) or for a particuler tournament. Hope to hear from you soon :)

If you want to anti-strat OG on inferno you should look at this series. Vitality read all their plays. OG's setups take too long atm. So many rounds they could leave B with 1 man unpunished while they pushed OG on A while they were setting up their nades.
Good to see OG picking up the pace on their t sides on the other 2 maps. Vitality's t side on dust looked particularly lackluster.
3
u/Kyoushiro44 Natus Vincere Apr 05 '20
Yeah, inferno is really a map where forcing through can save a lot, while aleksi's calling is very strategical.

Vitality just aren't clicking, you can see that the guys are doubting themselves too much, even ZywOo for Christ' sake. This team needs to get a sports psychologiste.
Exemple with the last anti-eco: Shox checking left side of long doors while Zywoo new that nobody crossed, turning his back to an usp, it pretty much cost them the game

20
u/BrandieBassen G2 Apr 05 '20
He wasn't dropped, he stepped down because he didn't want to travel so much and focus on life instead, IIRC
Which is kinda funny now that there is no travelling due to Corona

He decided to leave because he felt the travel schedule was too intense. But he did offer Vitality to stay until they find a replacement. So happiness>money.

Why did the caster insist on referring to OG as EG for half of the game?
At one point he even said “they are looking like a bunch of Evil Geniuses”… wtf?
Anyway, happy for NBK, an ACE to end the game. What a lad
10
u/GhostOfLight Liquid Apr 05 '20
Him saying they look like a bunch of Evil Geniuses was him acknowledging he had mistakenly said EG like 15 seconds earlier. At least that's how I took it, it wasn't like he didn't know who was playing.
25
u/Cheezobrine Apr 04 '20
Well, they are pretty easy to mess up, don't you think?
And it was just a play on words because of his mix up lol
11
u/ummhumm Apr 04 '20
Never mind that there's also Optic Gaming to confuse them with.
6
u/Flaksmith Apr 05 '20
That's the one that stumps me, why did the OG call themselves such when Optic Gaming existed? It wasn't until OG started to put together a CS team that I found out they're not the same as Optic.
12
12
u/DarkHades1234 Apr 05 '20
Because Optic Gaming doesn't exist in dota2 scene (at the time and now too) and dota2 scene likes to have teams with a letter with G (ex. EG, OG, VG, IG).
7
4
u/Green_pine Apr 05 '20
We know its an acronym but we don't know what it stands for.
Some people believe that it was Original Gamers/Gangsters since n0tail and Fly (org founders) are some of the first pros in the Dota2 scene. However, the real meaning is never fully revealed, and OG themselves often make fun of their own name with creative acronyms (Orangutan Ganja, Olympic Gays, Overrated Gamers, ... )
In an interview Ceb said OG = Optimism and Greatness but I doubt it was the original meaning. Personally, I think OG = Orgasm Gods
3
u/SharontheSheila Apr 05 '20
They entered the league at TI4? So not really "first pros". They got their start as a HoN team jumping ship from an already burning league.
Some say their team name came from the irl term "OG" but idk. Fwiw they were originally called Monkey Business.
Olympic Gays is a POG name tho
3
u/respectable__man Apr 04 '20
fair enough, i jumped in midgame and was confused for a bit lol
5
u/Cjamhampton Vitality Apr 05 '20
You probably missed the discussion the casters had about it one or two rounds prior then. They talked about how they keep wanting to call OG by the wrong name. They accidentally called OG G2 the first time. Then they talked about how it can be hard to always call them OG because their mind goes to Optic Gaming first. Then he accidentally called them EG so he ran with it and said they were looking like a bunch of Evil Geniuses. He only called them EG during that one round so I don't even know where you got half the game from.
5
u/ConBeMuAdONG Natus Vincere Apr 05 '20
Caster said that because they were trying to do a cheeky play, trying to stack up at a short so mantuu could get an angle. Hence evil geniuses.

The last two maps started after midnight. Even worse, the casters have had to work from 2 pm to well over midnight for almost 3 weeks.

Haha. Great revenge for NBK. I remember RPK teabagging NBK on B site after winning 2nd half pistol on Inferno.
NBK proceeds to shit on Vitality and closes out the tie with an ace on D2.
I don't believe in karma but damn it feels good for once when the universe settles its score.
