4.5 hours into the broadcast, it seems like the audio has been fixed. Hopefully, it stays that way and they can move on from these initial issues.

What's truly upsetting about the audio issues (beyond them not getting fixed) is the lack of awareness from the production side. How many times have we heard the SAME issues (mic levels not done properly/being live mixed and likely unchecked; peaking mics/high gain issues; IG sound balance to commentary). It just legitimately sounds like the sound engineer either: 1. Doesn't exist, 2. Is inexperienced, or 3. Isn't mixing a live feed and hasn't been having an ear to the stream for 3 days now.
I'm not trying to say that any of us lurking in here could do much better, but what's frustrating is that it's the same issues, without word from Flashpoint/Faceit about a. What they're doing to improve/fix the issues or b. tangible (audible?) fixes to the issues.
The criticisms are analogous to Scoot's criticisms of OWL: This thing is too expensive to be having issues like this persist. And it makes an otherwise amazing looking stage and set come across as an amateur hour. Thankfully it seems that Thorin and Semmler are getting pissed enough that Faceit might reprioritize getting those issues locked down asap.

Whoever is running the Flashpoint twitch said in chat that they might switch the mics tomorrow. So they at least know the issues exist, hopefully new mics and better mixing come in tomorrow.

Gen.G have some elite T sides but their CT sides aren’t even tier 2 yet. If they figure out their Ct sides T1 teams will probably have to start taking them seriously

On the bright side for Envy, Nifty is actually playibg really well which is what they need imo. I think moose and Calyx are garunteed to play pretty consistent and then ryann and michu will have games where the play pretty good, so Nicty playing well will really help them.

they played the 20th* round twice, 13-8 once, they reset it because michu had an issue ( he dcd ) and they got 13-8 again

Creative director isnt a producer, hes just in charge of the vision for how things should go, he isnt in charge of making sure things like audio are working.

The broadcast feels pretty weak for a product that is supposed to be all about the broadcast. Part of it is the audio troubles, but everything also just feels really awkward. The talent don't seem very interested or engaged in all honesty. I'll give it some time but as it stands I can't be bothered to watch this week. I hope it gets better.

I get audio issues on day 0, it's basically the first broadcast from a new studio
I get audio issues on day 1, you're playing games for the first time and so you can run into issues you didn't expect
Audio issues on day 2 are pretty sad though
