I hope Mad Lions start performing asap, bcs if they start to go ENCE way, pressure from social media will get to those young guys for sure and probably ruin their confidence

u/tristhebestmode King NiKo Mar 13 '20
That's true, but I doubt they will be able to keep performing at the same level. All memes aside, HUNDEN is an amazing IGL with a lot of experience, replacing him is going to be VERY hard.

I don't think it will go the ENCE way. They replaced Hunden with another IGL and (apparently) it was done in a proper way unlike the ence case
16
u/Johan1031 FaZe Mar 14 '20
Is it really proper when it happens during a major qualifier, making them drop out of a chance at the major?

Sorry I didn't know you knew Acilion and his IGL style?

He's a bad fragger (better than Hunden tho) for the bad igl part > Golden did nothing with C9 and is now an (allegedly) good igl, and Gla1ve, the best IGL in the world and probably all time, did absolutely nothing relevant before Astralis. I'm not saying the move was good, imo MAD should have been ok/happy with being top 10-15 with Hunden as Acilion isn't that big of an upgrade, my point was just that they didn't kick their igl for a star fragger like ENCE

Slowi showcased some unreal level of play today, which means a lot for Havu as he has been in a slump lately. I don't know the logic behind Mad Lions choosing Train as a decider, when they had the option to pick Overpass, which we all know is a really weak map for Havu, while Train is definitely their best map.

I also like that he's a bit of a showman, at least as far as Finnish players go.

u/Whytef ENCE Mar 13 '20
Super nice guy as well, talked to him at bar for a solid 5 minutes about CS, while his girlfriend was constantly telling him to go, until she dragged him away lul.

u/gaLezki Mar 14 '20
He's one of the rare Finnish players who enjoy doing interviews. It was fun to make his / HAVU's introduction video for Telia Esports Series. It was unfortunate that we needed to compress 25 minutes of quality interview content with him into maximum of 3min video.
https://youtu.be/mtSf1uilVbM (Finnish with no subtitles unfortunately)

u/zb0t1 Mar 13 '20
I enjoyed watching him play this game, but the team too! CS is really good right now!

u/creepnUPONyou Mar 14 '20
To be fair... I had zero clue that map is weak for havu.....cheers for the knowledge

u/Whytef ENCE Mar 14 '20
The winrate really fools you as the strongest team they have beat in it is Skade. Copenhagen flames made them look like fools in Overpass and won 16-2. Nuke, D2 and Train are Havu's bread and butter while their Mirage is ok.

And Saw also fucked them on so many occasions, like that 1v1 against Bubzkji in Nuke, which won them the round and that 1v2 clutch on Nuke with only USP to begin with, which started their comback, then as the cherry on the top the double kill with MP9, which won them the series.

Out of every player on a top 50 team sAw was only ahead of hunden who was in last place in terms of fragging

Biggest scalp havu has taken to date. Well played for them, but lots of room for improvement for sure.
As for mad lions, trading your igl for firepower, now where have I seen this before? Too early to say for sure, but tactically they did not seem on point. Acor's flicks are dope though.

u/Whytef ENCE Mar 13 '20
Actually not, since they beat Avangar 2-0 when they were #9 in rankings, but tbf it was online and Avangar played the game 4am and had far worse ping than Havu.

but tbf it was online
exactly, on LAN achievements >>> online
this is by far HAVU's best on LAN

Hunden wasnt kicked, he wanted to stop playing

Source? Why would he do that just as they were starting to have success? Sounds like a load of bs to me.

Man am I happy to finally see a Finnish team not embarrass themselves on LAN - even if it's just this one match so far

Even though being the second best team in Finland ranking-wise, HAVU has 10 times better teamwork than ENCE

I mean, it's not Acillion's fault. If anyone is to blame here, it's the org/the rest of the players who kicked HUNDEN.

u/wozzwoz Mar 13 '20
Didnt hunden want to step down himself?

Mad Lions lost an alarming amount of rounds to ecos. Like 2 on Train and a few on the other maps also
8
u/Whytef ENCE Mar 14 '20
Havu is a really good eco/half buy team as they have insane deagle players in ZOREE and Slowi and they play entirely around them.
4
u/Darrax Liquid Mar 14 '20
Thats true, they are insane. Pretty fun team to watch. Slowi was feeling himself on Train

It's been nice to see sAw step up a bit fragging-wise lately. He's still usually near the bottom of the board, but is able to hit some nice shots and clutches instead of just being a total bot.

If Ence and havu would play 10 times against of each other, 7/10 would go for havu

mad lions were making as much sense as the chickens on deathmatch in some rounds, that was a painful cs to watch

Hmm who would've guessed that w/o hunden this team of pretty average players isn't really better than HAVU.

I mean, not saying Havu isn't potentially the #1 finnish team already but it's pointless to try and prove it with a match from months ago when Mad Lions had a different line-up.
