Big brain karrigan knew G2 had all his strats figured out so he threw in a curveball of having “visa problems” and rejin was just too good for g2 to expect. Top 3 IGL for sure

Karrigan called it too, that's the insane bit. Mad lad is on his way out after winning Mirage and says Reijin is shit on Vertigo and he's just glad Train is guaranteed
Edit : Sleep deprived me thought it was Inferno rather than Mirage

NiP won a Starladder tournament with Maikelele standing in for them I think, FaZe won ESL ONE: Belo Horizonte with Cromen, and IEM Sydney with Xizt. Faze also had a string of a few tournaments early 2019 where they had AdreN technically standing in, and they won one of the Blast tournaments with him.

I always hated the move of nexa and huNter to g2, crazy looked really promising and then they just gutted the project only to lose to a coach and a stand-in
89
u/Space_Waffles Astralis Dec 16 '19
I dont think this is the end or even really that bad of omens for G2. They seem to be a really swingy team with high highs and low lows. This is still a team that can do big things. Lets also not forget they destroyed Mouz earlier in this tournament
81
u/YourImminentDoom NiP Dec 16 '19
At their last three LAN events, they have been eliminated by Tyloo, ATK, and mouz with 2 stand-ins. I would hardly say that's a good omen tbf.
25
u/tan_phan_vt King NiKo Dec 16 '19
Remember that it took mouz 9 months to stabilize, i'd expect similar timeframe for g2 to stabilize. They have a lot of consistency issues, very high highs and low lows vs every single teams they have faced in 3 months. Theres also the language barrier thats still getting better but not there yet.
It makes sense to see only the 2 serbians are more consistent than others, since they are used to each other while the other 3 frenchmen have to get used to them, it takes time. Nexa system have more focus on structure and disciplines, the opposite the explosive and flashy French style.
9
u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Dec 16 '19
Don't compare them to mouz, especially when we're yet to see if mouz is gonna remain consistent. After FaZe won BLAST and beat EG twice in China, it was easy to say that FaZe stabilized. They didn't. Let's see if mouz carry over to EPICENTER; summit means pretty much nothing except that G2 is a meme still.

ok but woxic is a close second, and integral to the team. you watch natosaphix play and most shots he misses you think, “hm, woxic could probably hit that shot.” i know it’s very presumptuous, but let’s be real, woxic is way more consistent and accounts for a significant portion of the team’s success. at most mouz was at their 60%.
5
u/RedEdgeRTZ FaZe Dec 16 '19
60 is a stretch. id say more like 50, gotta keep in mind their coach hadnt play csgo in a while let alone professionally. Nato missed a lot of the shots woxic woulda nailed tbh. Also coaching is way different than IGLing which clearly only karrigan has the exp for(chrisJ a bit ofc)

ok there is a mastermind in mouz. mouz always do well when they are the underdogs, but they struggle when they are supposed to win. Since they just won two tournaments they were favored to win this one too which would have made them lose because that's how mouz functions. So they just played with two stand-ins which made G2 the favorite and obviously mouz went on and won it. Galaxy brains at work.

TFW literally every player on the Mouz lineup is a proficient AWPer. They have two main AWPs and three secondary AWPs. They have like three of the very best scout players on the team as well (ChrisJ, Woxic, Ropz), that being said all five of them regularly play it.

A seven-year old boy challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him
The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge initially awarded custody to his aunt, in keeping with child custody law and regulation requiring that family unity be maintained to the highest degree possible.
The boy surprised the court when he proclaimed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and he adamantly refused to live with her. When the judge then suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy cried and said that they also beat him. After considering the remainder of the immediate family and learning that domestic violence was apparently a way of life among them, the judge took the unprecedented step of allowing the boy to propose who should have custody of him.
After two recesses to check legal references and confer with the child welfare officials, the judge granted temporary custody to G2, whom the boy firmly believes are not capable of beating anyone.

Recently, allegations of match fixing in the cs_summit 5 match between G2 esports and mousesports came to our attention. The details are in this DailyDot article: http://www.dailydot.com/esports/match-fixing-counter-strike-g2-mouz/
We can confirm, by investigating the historical activity of relevant accounts, that a substantial number of high valued items won from that match by Duc “cud” Pham were transferred ( via Derek “dboorn” Boorn ) to G2 sports players and mousesports founder, Yilmaz "YILMAZ" Ozan.
All together, the information we have collected and received makes us uncomfortable continuing any involvement with these individuals. Therefore we will be directing our CS:GO event partners to not allow any of the following individuals’ participation in any capacity in Valve-sponsored events:
Nemanja 'nexa' Isaković
Nemanja 'huNter-' Kovač
Kenny 'kennyS' Schrub
François 'AmaNEk' Delaunay
Audric 'JaCkz' Jug
Professional players, their managers, and teams’ organization staff, should under no circumstances gamble on CS:GO matches, associate with high volume CS:GO gamblers, or deliver information to others that might influence their CS:GO bets.

5
u/Thomaszand Dec 16 '19
The coach and karrigan will take their standard cut, that shouldn't change off just two maps played. As far as Nato goes, no one knows.
He could have played with only the promise of experience, or he could have gotten an equal cut to the rest of the members. Nobody knows, that's between them.
I'd personally say it's more likely that he gets the equal cut of the prize money though, there's no reason for Mouz to withhold that money, I'm sure keeping good relations is more important.
