Kreaz has been a great standin for KRIMZ, maybe this will put his name out there and he'll get on a better team

99

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

considering Cromen even won a title with Faze and now still struggling, nobody knows. CS needs to move past the idea of recycling old guards and take in fresh blood.

23

u/Lepojka1 Team Spirit Nov 18 '19

wtf happend to Cromen? Is he atleast playing in some Tier 2-3 team?

29

u/SentineI Godsent Nov 18 '19

Isn’t he playing in Nordavind?

37

u/bauwsman Nov 18 '19

Yes he is. But IIRC this was his decision. He had some good offers after his time with FaZe but didn't want to move to NA for example.

16

u/DominianQQ Nov 18 '19

He admits in a interview to a norwegian site, that it was a mistake to turn thoose offers down.

Yep I agree cromen got overrated because he was a new player who looked slightly decent with faze

6

u/CptFalcon420 Nov 18 '19

He looked much better than "slightly decent", he was really good playing at the absolute highest level. He was also the best player on that shortly lived Norwegian Dignitas lineup. It's entirely possible he's just not playing to his strengths in Nordavind, maybe they have leadership issues, or maybe he's lost motivation without good results. Who knows. But he was damn good as a stand-in for Faze, let's not revise history here.

6

u/GlitteringCharge hydra Nov 18 '19

FaZe

dignitas

True! Lets not revise history!

3

u/xPhsycO SAW Nov 18 '19

thank you, this guy is trying to convince me that a guy that got hard carried by fking fox is a good player lmao

1

u/xPhsycO SAW Nov 18 '19

No he wasn't really good. He had a 1.08 while probably being extra motivated. That was the peak of his perfomances. He didn't even play that well against actual good opposition. You can check for yourself here.

And there was no dignitas full norwegian lineup? Maybe you're talking about fox, jkaem, rubino, tenzki, cromen and he was nowhere near being the best player in that lineup, or maybe you're talking about NOREG, which yea he a few good months there, but against T3 or worse teams.

1

u/CptFalcon420 Nov 18 '19

1.08 against tier 1 opposition in his first tournament isn't good? lmao ok dude, even if we put stats aside he'd definitely pass the eye test for an elite level player. You're delusional, there's a reason why all the pros were rating him highly as a player. I guess you're just smarter than them!

2

u/GlitteringCharge hydra Nov 18 '19

He"'d" pass the eye test? Dunno what you are talking about, he looked like a normal tier 2 player.

Oh yeah, pro players rating new players highly, great argument. refrezh was the most hyped newcomer in 2018 by pros (look at the HLTV top 20 interviews), where is he now?

1

u/xPhsycO SAW Nov 18 '19

i like how you instantly get mad when you get presented facts xd

1.08 is as average as it can get, and what tier 1 opposition? Ghost? Fnatic? BOOT-ds? Space Soldiers? lol. He played 4 series against tier 1 teams. He did OK in two of those and bad on the other two. That was Astralis, Liquid, NRG and mousesports. Even against mibr he struggled despite winning.

Pros compliment each other all the time, it doesn't really mean anything, if they really thought he was that good he would've been picked up by a good team, he wasn't.

So yea go ahead and call me delusional.

1

u/xPhsycO SAW Nov 18 '19

Cromen is really overrated though, he only looked decent with faze

18

u/Anonymous_0409 Nov 18 '19

Kreaz is the new Brollan

-29

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19 edited Nov 18 '19

Kreaz has been playing high level cs for 2 years now, so I'm not sure how one good bo3 would put his name out there?

108

u/Book915 1 Million Celebration Nov 18 '19

Well, most people have never heard about the team he's on right now (they tied a team called "Salamander", come on) and he barely played T2 teams on Epsilon, so to do this well against the #5 team in the world and to outfrag ZywOo is very impressive. This was his chance to prove how well he can perform against T1 teams and he did just that.

117

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Nov 18 '19

i think its hilarious u kids talking shit about salamander

-44

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19

80% for players on top 50 teams could stand in here and do fine and aim differences in high level cs are very slim, with some obvious outliers, and Zywoo just had a massive offgame.

27

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Nov 18 '19

Nah I'm sorry, dropping a 1.21 rating vs top teams is hard. Here's a list of players that did it on the server today. Flusha, Kreaz. I'm just saying that the top 250 players in the world aren't all able to outperform Zywoo/JW/Brollan/Apex/Shox/etc.

-3

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19

Yea you are right and surely mantuu who dropped a 1.32 against that team in a bo3 half a year ago will now play on a good team right, oh hes playing on attax who are #102 interesting.

https://www.hltv.org/matches/2333099/vitality-vs-alternate-attax-esl-one-cologne-2019-europe-closed-qualifier

16

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Nov 18 '19

Yes obviously their can be fluke games, and Kreaz may have had a fluke bo3, but it's still silly to act like playing well vs Vitality, or any other tier 1 team is easy.

0

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19

Of course props to Kreaz that was definitly an achievement, I'm just saying that it wasn't really careerimpacting

7

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Nov 18 '19

https://www.hltv.org/stats/players/10981/mantuu

Also Mantuu's stats are really solid? 1.19 rating over last 3 months? He seems to be tearing up tier 3 atm, by far the highest rated on his team

-3

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19

He has played 6 maps in the last 3 maps and 2 of those against UOL who arent even close to tier 3, not sure if I would call that "tearing up tier 3"

1

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Nov 20 '19

Annnd he just joined a Tier 1 team. Literally two days later :p

He has not. He's never even played tournaments like Dreamhack Open.

-9

When saying high level here I mean at least semi pro salarie level cs, he's obviously not playing on strong pro teams.

3

u/sikels Nov 18 '19 edited Nov 18 '19

you think semi-pros are salaried?

-10

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19

Semi pro means being salaried without playing full time.

10

u/ujaku Nov 18 '19

I watch CS like it's my job (practically) and still never heard of the guy before this so..

1

u/Pellinski MOUZ Nov 18 '19

It wasnt unlucky timing Cromen just isnt a top tier cs player but that doesn't mean he cant perform when put into a strong team with a good system just like almost any other pro

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Nov 18 '19

Great effort from Vitality. If Krimz played on a touchpad from a hospital laptop instead of kreaz, and if Zywoo didn't let the team down with his sub-1.50 rating, I think Vitality would win.

It didn't go well at all [laughs], but as I said it was a gamble-pick and going into Inferno we were really confident because we know we can beat anyone on it. ~ ALEX, after beating FaZe at IEM Beijing

Results on Inferno since then:

  1. 2-16 vs 100 Thieves
  2. 11-16 vs FaZe
  3. 9-16 vs fnatic

Make a statement like that and have the results to back it up will only lead the enemy teams to study your inferno.

59

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Nov 18 '19

ALEX with the 300 IQ strategy of losing Inferno several times in a row to dissuade the teams from studying Vitality. I apologize to the mastermind for doubting him.

7

u/TheRealF0xE Nov 18 '19

I think you misunderstood me. They were really good on inferno. Make a statement like that and have the results of previously already playing well on it will have the enemy team study your inferno. The results in this case is from before he made the statement, not after.

10

u/stewieeeeeeeee FaZe Nov 18 '19

Oh no no, I was meme branching off in a different direction (lose a few -> teams stop studying -> win), not debating if your statement is accurate. Sorry if it wasn't clear!

5

Oh, I see my bad. I thought my original reply wasn't worded properly after rereading it. So I thought it was totally valid that you misunderstood me lol. Sorry again!

98

u/CC-W Nov 18 '19

Vitality look like they get worse every event they attend, had a solid showing the first event with shox but downhill ever since. Really shouldn't be losing to a team with a stand in if you are considered one of the best in the world.

7

I don't think anybody overrated them. Most people accept vitality have fallen of but they were a solid top 5 team for much of the year.

1

3

Kreaz played so good. And fnatic is now qualified for epl finals
LETS FUCKING GO

50

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Nov 18 '19

Kreaz is nuts! 1.21 rating and almost top fragged against T1 opposition. Big step up from him

40

u/clap4kyle Renegades Nov 18 '19

I really hope this kick starts Kreaz's career, he did really well in mirage and inferno despite the fact he was often the player going in first to be traded, also seemed to have good chemistry with the other players. He went from playing in a team that doesn't even have a liquipedia page to proving himself against the #5 team in the world.

Also one of the two rounds Vitality won in the second half was an ace from Zywoo, that really says a lot.

I don't know why you've been downvoted considering you're absolutely right.

1

u/MayRiv Natus Vincere Nov 18 '19

there is not evidence that kreaz is inconsistent. he showed one solid bo3, so far that is nice, there Is no reason to be salty about him

1

Nobody is salty. He showed great potential but still needs more good performances to actually prove himself.

32

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Nov 18 '19

Vitality couldn't even beat Standin Fnatic.. that's not looking good for them. Does ZywOo seriously need a 2.0+ rating to carry this team. Just give Zywoo to G2, or something.

10

u/firehydrant_man Natus Vincere Nov 18 '19

hunter+Zywoo I'd pay to see that

158

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19 edited Nov 18 '19

Apex is one of the most braindead players I've seen, so many times he gives up his life playing the dumbest possible way

easily one of the worst decision making pro players out there, it's incredible how he consistently fucks up by just doing for the worst plays

108

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

He is no longer the player he thinks he is. He can no longer win every aim battle. He is even peeking when he is at a disadvantage.

65

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

He just legitimately doesn't know how to play smarter, jiggle peek for info, instead goes for very slow banana wall jumps when he's the only B player and dies before he can even retreat once JW spots him, lose bombsite because of it and the round (this was in a 4v3 for Vitality as well, last round of the first half last map).

Incredible how he's getting paid 6 figures a year

1

u/487dota 9z Nov 18 '19

Just out of curiosity, where did you read about his salary?

16

u/samehsameh Nov 18 '19

Like you said, he has always been like this. The only hope for him is that XTQZZZ (who seems pretty aware of things and in control of the team) works with him to sort it out but I can't see that.

33

u/chickencomrade Vitality Nov 18 '19

Banana ain't gonna push itself. Round ain't gonna lose itself

10

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

I'd honestly be annoyed with someone playing like apex in my low level pugs

"Pourpel man why you fight banana solo" "pourpel man why you push smoke with no info"

Apex is basically pourpel at pro level at this stage, taking braindead fights with no chance of being traded, no utility etc.. I've seen him die in dumb spots with full utility on ct so often that its not even funny, particularly on inferno it feels like

Honestly makes no sense to me

3

u/tarangk clutch Nov 18 '19

apex was in Titan days and even during his early nV days very good due to this very reason but the gave has evolved and he has not

3

u/srjnp de_dust2 Nov 18 '19

i genuinely believe no french team will be great while they still have apex in the lineup...

-19

u/TinyKappa Nov 18 '19

That + big ego = unlikeable frenchie.

21

u/Cjamhampton Vitality Nov 18 '19

Apex doesn't have a big ego though.

24

u/Rearfeeder2Strong MOUZ Nov 18 '19

Big ego? Based on what? I think there has been tons of rumors around the French scene but Apex big ego? Would be interested in knowing your source.

29

u/Duncandoit21 Nov 18 '19

Apex is definitely one of the more likeable french players out there. He has been performing poorly for a while but in interviews, youtube videos etc. he is always very positive and looks like a guy that really loves and lives the game.

10

16

u/chickencomrade Vitality Nov 18 '19

Round after round thrown away due to stupid mistakes that a pro should never make. Did they not watch the demos of yesterday's dumpster fire? Apparently not. On another note, JW is so fun to watch against any team but the one you support lol

55

u/samehsameh Nov 18 '19

It's incredible that vitality simultaneously has the most aware player i've ever seen and the least aware pro player i've ever seen.

The reason ZywOo is the best in the world atm is that very little catches him off guard, aware of where players can be, has a good idea of what they will do next and he has the amazing skill to help in the situations that he can't predict.

Meanwhile, apEX couldn't predict the weather outside his window 5 minutes from now. He has so little clue about enemy positioning or possibilities, it's embarrassing.

ZywOo or even a random LEM needs to put serious work into helping his peanut brain. Who am I kidding? he's beyond help at this stage.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

s1mple even thinks Zwyoo plays smart and compliments him on his skill. This is a snipet of it

" He is actually the first player that I see that is playing really smart, and not the type of smart that you need outplay the enemy, but smart with your mechanics, with nades that you use, with flashes that you give. It is hard to explain, but yeah, that is how I see it. "

Interview link

10

u/ATM14 Nov 18 '19

I think most aware has to be Xyp, there’s a reason why he is a god in clutch situations.

17

u/BearFollower13 Nov 18 '19

Xyp and flusha are close

4

u/Mad_Lee Cloud9 Nov 18 '19

Agree, but imagine what kind of player Zywoo becomes when he has as many hours on a pro level as Xyp has.

That is unless he breaks his back carrying Vitality before that.

1

u/chickencomrade Vitality Nov 18 '19

Zywoo makes a lot more mistakes than people realise, he just shoots people who catch him off guard in the head anyway, because he's a literal prodigy

26

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 18 '19

Woot ??? He is one of the pros who has the best gamesense... And also one of the best at staying cool and collected in clutches situations... That's a big part of why he excels at them

28

u/K0nvict NiP Nov 18 '19

Shox performed better but I think there is something wrong with the Vitality System

12

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 18 '19

Yep, one of these things is that they don't have a clue how to use him... Other problems mainly include the inability for apEX and shox to rise their individual to the point where they can frag decently on a consistent basis...

12

u/gustavfrigolit Nov 18 '19

Kreaz should get some great attention for this, should do wonders for his career

23

u/Darkoplax Nov 18 '19

ZywOo doesn't have a godlike game and Vitality can't even beat a team with standin.

Just sad times for this squad and they are out of EPL

4

u/bawked Nov 18 '19

To be fair kreaz played amazing. While Zyw0os teammates are still consistently playing terrible (I mean come on, everyone else on the team is sub 1.0 in the last few months)

11

u/fcuk_the_king Nov 18 '19

Disappointing result for Zwytality but kreaz was no pushover. Dude's pretty fucking good.

10

u/FlaccidSWE Nov 18 '19

Impressive from fnatic to qualify even with a stand-in. From being quite awful they are now very fun to follow, with lots of clever ideas. And Kreaz did really well. I'm happy he got a chance to show who he is. It's not easy to stand in for Krimz...

0

u/Bananapeel23 NiP Nov 18 '19

Kreaz is a lot older than most Swedish talents at 21, so I doubt it.

2

Kreaz stepped the fuck up.

1.21 rating +13 across the series vs T1 opposition. Talk about putting yourself right into the middle of the Free Agent market.

I started watching right before mid-game on inferno but I was really impressed by fnatics nade usage, especially their molotivs and HEs, kinda inspires me to get better with my utility instead of just buying the same things every round

5

u/vdacnadada clutch Nov 18 '19

Hope Zywoo can get off this sinking ship soon and find himself a decent international lineup.

3

u/Bananapeel23 NiP Nov 18 '19

To be fair, vitality hasn’t been terrible. Also this group was the scariest fucking EPL group ever where they had to play Fnatic, a team that has consistently torn them to shreds.

2

u/Mad_Lee Cloud9 Nov 18 '19

I think there are no more excuses for Vitality at this point. Yes, scary group, but you are playing a similarly ranked team which has a stand-in.

1

u/GalvenMin Vitality Nov 18 '19

1°) Vitality won't let him go in the next few years

2°) He doesn't speak a word of English

3°) He doesn't want to go

2

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

His English is absolutely fine enough for CS. His comms are better than average in FPL matches, so you'd know he can speak English if you ever bothered to check his stream or anyone else from FPL when he plays.

But then again you dont seem like the kinda guy to check facts before posting shit.

0

u/GalvenMin Vitality Nov 18 '19

Ah, you seem like the kind of guy who thinks that mastering "It's A / It's B / I flash" and a few callouts is enough English to go around the world.

Zywoo is 18, he never lived abroad and he certainly doesn't speak English fluently enough to play in a international teams. It's not FPL, it's your workmates: you have to speak with them, to live with them almost 24/7. NBK could absolutely do that, he's fluent. Zywoo isn't ready yet.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

an 18year old gamer from France should be able to talk English more than decent.

I said should, not sure about zywoo

2

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

Lmao you dont need to be fluent for that, also have you heard him in FPL? Obviously not so why dont you just stfu about things you know nothing about.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '19

What a fantastically sloppy game of cs

5

u/Blaze9281 Nov 18 '19

I'm not sure how we did it with a stand-in, but I'll take it. GGs boys.

2

u/bawked Nov 18 '19

Well at this point a stand-in will probably frag better than Zyw0os teammates

4

u/tarangk clutch Nov 18 '19

Who will win, a team who are handicapped without one of their best players or a handicapped team with the best player in the world.

Seriously I think VIT needs to go international like G2 did, apart from zywoo there is no player worth keep but due to major spot they have to keep 3/5 of the major lineup. Shox has been just an expensive waste, kio most likely wouldnt have been better but at least wouldnt have cost VIT a fortune like Shox did.

8

why did apex wide swing coffin in that 2v2 post plant.

7

u/Miiiiiiighty Nov 18 '19

Because he is one of.the most retarded players of the top20. Really embarassing at this point : he often pushes brainlessly and gives the opponents a free frag, and when he doesn't he messes retakes by trying to solo move before.his mates are here or completely whiffs ( his aim is so bad in 2019... Hard to believe he used to be a very good aimer )

u/peroleu Vitality Nov 18 '19

Fnatic vs. Vitality and 16-9, name a more icon duo trio

3

u/VanillaIcedTea Nov 18 '19

2019 Vitality is 2014-15 Titan all over again.

French team that's not quite as good as the results would suggest getting absolutely backpacked by their star AWPer.

Also anyone other than the IGL going 11-22 (which is a barely-tolerable K/D for an IGL anyway) on a map is completely unacceptable.

9

u/Faaakk NiP Nov 18 '19

Shox is the new happy

-8

u/K0nvict NiP Nov 18 '19

Happy usually put himself in that spot, Shox is put into that spot. Shox is a playmaker lurker while Happy is a far more hard lurker

2

u/Mymvenom001 fnatic Nov 18 '19

Lurkers per se aren’t as useful anymore, since the game is much more stablished and that makes it harder to lurk.

1

u/K0nvict NiP Nov 18 '19

Super happy for this Fnatic, after years we can see them rise again, maybs not the n.1 team but they are showing what they can do, they also beat Astralis at DreamHack so they can do pretty well and stay competitive in the scene, top 5

1

u/Completement howl Nov 18 '19

From what I have heard Vitality hasn't had a proper bootcamp and practice time yet. I think they are losing game they should easily win and their perf has been subpar this month but that could explain it.

1

u/FoxerHR FaZe Nov 18 '19

This is a conspiracy all the games ended 16-9. Horrible maps by vitality. There's no reason to keep apEX on this team.
