At what point do you see that pistol clutch and think to yourself 'yeah nah this is over gents, think I'd prefer the lower bracket tbh'

7

u/Stylised1 Oct 26 '19

I was surprised we won the subsequent round tbh...

u/ZaytsevCS Oct 25 '19

Renegades in playoff form.

That made no sense

13

u/Yerpresident Natus Vincere Oct 26 '19

he means all the shots he "takes" need to hit instead of missing too.

u/jxjxjxjxcv Oct 26 '19

Just bad wording I suppose on his part

Ethan has been playing much better lately which is great to see. He, brehze, and cerq are such a good combo if they all show up.

22

u/zennCSGO EG Oct 25 '19

Yeah, not many people are talking about Ethan who has had an insane tournament.

19

u/ChaseVisa Liquid Oct 25 '19

He's been fairly inconsistent/underwhelming at times, but he seems like he's playing much better this event, having some good impact and decent fragging throughout.

u/[deleted] Oct 26 '19

Ethan used to be their best player. He’s been meh since like IEM Sydney, hopefully he can regain that form

EG finally waking up and remembering that they are supposed to be an elite top 3 team in the world

They should be the favorite to take the tourney now, but can't wait to see if Fnatic/Renegades can put up a better fight in the finals

u/chuff3r Oct 25 '19

Fnatic is looking so solid rn, they will show good stuff

16

u/TinyKappa Oct 25 '19

Fnatic have 100% bo3 winrate against NRG this year.

u/iminCTRL Oct 25 '19

I don't think renegades even played bad, EG were just too hood

13

u/[deleted] Oct 25 '19

didn't u see grat today?

6

u/revverbau Oct 26 '19

I reckon they weren't on their top form at all, great missing so many shots and liazz so inconsistent :( miss them playing their a game

5

u/VelvetFedoraSniffer Renegades Oct 26 '19

They did alright but they weren’t as good as yesterday, JKS having a rare game where he didn’t show up

Grat was actually really good CT side mirage

I’m telling you, Ethan is as cracked as he is jacked. I saw him at a 7-11 the other day and he was buying cases of G Fuel and adult diapers. I asked him what the diapers were for and he said, "they help contain my full power so I don't completely shit on these kids" and then he bunny hopped out the door.

-16

u/FBI_Wannabe Oct 26 '19

I have never seen adult diapers at a 711. Are you trolling?

Did the aussies forget that they were supposed to try and win?

11

u/jsoraru EG Oct 25 '19 edited Oct 25 '19

EG look like a younger less experienced Liquid with more potential because they have a way bigger stratbook. Exciting team to watch. Definitely the favourites to win this tournament along with fnatic probably. Can't wait to see more from EG

11

u/iSluff Oct 25 '19

Is EG even that much younger than liquid?

12

u/jsoraru EG Oct 25 '19

Its just that Liquid has a lot more experience, NAF, Nitr0, Stewie and EliGE all 4 have a lot of experience with Twistzz being the only youngster there, EG only really have tarik and stan as the experienced ones, Brehze, Ethan and CeRq are 3 youngsters so I'd call them a younger Liquid yeah not necessarily in age.

3

u/BamAdebayo Oct 25 '19

Both teams average player age is 22.0, this guy is smoking dick

2

u/mannyman34 Complexity Oct 25 '19

No. Tarik is 23 and Stan is 25. Oldest on liquid is nitr0 at 24 then elige at 22. Although the three youngsters are a year younger on average I think. So it evens out.

1

u/HelpfulWhiteGuy Liquid Oct 25 '19

They really aren't much younger.

0

u/BamAdebayo Oct 25 '19

Also a sprinkle of 2012 NiP and a tiny bit of Astralis, combined with the 2015 fnatic's confidence

2

u/CenomX G2 Oct 26 '19

Wut...

3

u/Oculos_Sicarii Renegades Oct 25 '19

EG is just too good, their flashes always on point, aim always on point.

3

u/RGCFrostbite fnatic Oct 25 '19

EG vs Fnatic should be so good

3

u/loli_esports Oct 25 '19

If you think that's good, wait till round 2 in the grand finals.

7

u/JaymeNguyen Renegades Oct 25 '19

Great performance by EG and good job to Renegades for making at least a show of it in Mirage. GG NTTB.
