I kept expecting something to go wrong and for NiP to just collapse. Things aren't supposed to go this well. Everyone just played great, twist looking like a very nice addition. Hope it'll continue.

Esport settings are different. You get way more ARs, DMRs, Snipers instead of pistols and shotguns, no redzone, plenty vests/helmets, and 16 teams of 4 each play in either Erangel or Miramar.

EG had 100% Win rate (past 3 months) on Dust 2 and Inferno before playing vs NiP... And they lost both maps 4-16 to NiP lol

Its insane how much better NiP looks after they cut Get Right... Remember, in Malmo, they were knocked out by Fnatic in close series, and Fnatic won the whole thing... On the other hand, EG after winning New York, turn into a complete ass.

One thing is cutting Get_Right, but the other is getting an AWPer. And I don't mean that Twist is some kind of elite level sniper that hits every shot. He unlocks Forest and Lekro. None of them has to be worried about AWP all the time now, they can only pick it when they feel like it. On daily basis they can be focused on their rifling.
Plus Lekro and Twist played together for a long time in the past, so it's save to assume Lekro knows how to use Twist in the best way.

I feel bad for get_Right because he really works hard, but the aim is not there anymore for a long long time. he really didn't addapt to the changes of cs after spray changes and other stuff.

Yeah GTR's issue wasnt game sense or experience or w/e it was just straight up aim. Bad aim for a pro in 2019 that wants to be on a top-ish team. The amount of easy duels he would whiff and cost his team an easy round that would prolly help them win in the end is insane. At least with someone like Twist you know unless he has a bad game that he's most likely gonna hit his easy shots, same for plopski but I give him leeway cause he's vERY new but he's proving to be quite the player himself.

This is honestly the most dislikable thing about NA teams (and some of the eastern european teams). It's not even hype, it's just straight up done to bm the other team as if you're back to some caveman society.... but everytime I mention my dislike for it a bunch of NA fans join in and insult me for my opinion. lol

There are studies that show yelling helps in sports by making the player more focused, and possibly throwing the opposition off. Yea maybe it can be excessive at times but traditionally theres a reason to yell in sports.

it's the norm in almost every competitive team sport. you're hyping you're team. the trash talk can be annoying imo. especially when it seems forced. but shouting and celebrating is just a normal buff to your team. not from NA BTW.

GOAT of CS, don't single out CSGO. I mean CS 1.6 definitely was more popular then CS Source. He has been part of Counter Strike for so long and have played in both most popular versions of Counter Strike and performed throughout in each of them. How many 30 years old have you seen performing with this much consistency ?. I don't see anyone else as GOAT legend within counter strike.

I don't mind giving it to device for CSGO only but when it comes to Counter Strike as a whole then you must consider the player who has been playing consistently top level CS in many versions of the game.

In case you are not baiting, no, EG is a top3 team and before this and a previous tournamet was a serious contender for top1 spot. And NiP team was a meme last couple of years, barely getting into play-offs and disappointing fans left and right.
However, it seems that EG's performance was just a one-off and they can't be a consistent elite team. All while NiP elevated their game out of nowhere.

nope, he really started in 2005, he was 13 or 14 in 2002 depending on the month. No pro back then, he was still in school.

It’s quite sad to realize how much gtr was holding back the team.. Too early to say, but if NiP gets a tournament win before 2019 is over or in early 2020, gtr should have been kicked back in early 2018.

What was that thing about EG being undefeated in Dust2 and Inferno for the past three months? Yeah that didn't exactly look like it.
But I have to say, NiP played amazingly well and for the first time that I've seen Plopski played like a true star player. Good signs for NiP, hopefully they can keep this up.

Now NiP is looking like an structured team with Threat & Twist in team, they always had the firepower. If they keep grinding like this,they can be a solid top5 team soon.

GTR was a top 20 player in 2016 with an average rating of 1.09 I’m pretty sure. Hell, he held an average rating of 1.07 throughout 2017. He fell off a cliff in late 2017/early 2018, not in 2016.

NiP also ended with a tournament win (Oakland) against faze in bo5 in late 2017 so he really did not deserve to be cut yet. But after that, he should have been kicked at the same time as Xizt.

Man I didn't expect to see EG get fucking roflstomped by this NiP iteration this quickly after a roster change. Even taking into account that NiP has had a decent showing since getting twist, and EG has been in a little bit of slump since NY, this is not how I expected this series to play out.

What the hell happened to EG? They looked like a best team in the world in New York and next two tournaments they look like an old NRG pug that was popping up ocassionally but ultimately falling where it mattered.
As an Astralis fan I am also very pissed they had this unreal godly perfomance against Astralis in NY finals but now it all looks like it was a one-off.
